CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY ONE

The entry of Mr. Clarkson into the board meeting room caused a stir among the members. Shocked murmurs spread like wildfire, and Mr. Winston, the leader of the faction aiming to replace the chairman, hastily approached Mr. Clarkson, feigning surprise.

"Mr. Clarkson! We thought you were... well, we heard..."

Mr. Clarkson, maintaining his calm attitude, replied, "Heard what, Winston? That I was dead? I'm glad to see your concern for my well-being. Why is everyone gathered here today?"

Winston stuttered, trying to compose himself. "We're having a meeting to get things in order. Everything hasn't been the same since your disappearance."

But Logan sniffled, catching on to the pretense. He glanced at the presentation on the hall's TV screen, the topic being displayed titled, "Leadership Transition: Appointing a New Chairman and CEO"

With a wry smile, Logan remarked in response, "Get things in order, you say? Replacing the chairman and CEO, huh?"

Winston swallowed nervously, realizing that t
