CHAPTER ONE HUNDRED AND EIGHTY THREE

Logan woke up groggily, the previous night's celebration still lingering in his mind. Glancing at his phone, he was startled to find 36 missed calls from Baton. Wondering what could be so urgent, he dialed back, his irritation evident.

As Baton picked up, Logan couldn't help but yell. "Jesus Christ Baton! 36 missed calls? What's so important?"

Baton's voice was tense in response saying, "Logan, where were you last night?"

Logan, defensive, shot back, "Why would I report to you, Baton. It's none of your business. It's not like you are my father."

Baton, cutting to the chase, explained, "There's a problem, Logan. You know, you didn't want to listen yesterday, so i thought that it was too dangerous for you to move around alone. I ordered my guys to follow you. They informed me that you were seeing someone, followed you all the way home and now, the girl you were with is missing currently."

But Logan, dismissing the concern, retorted, "What do you mean? You don't know that? You're wrong.
