Chapter 39: Meeting the man

Linda was suddenly beside Adonis. "isn't that the diamond card?"

Sam smiled and made a nod of his head. "That's the diamond card we have been talking about," he said with a smile. "Will you use that for the vase?"

Adonis nodded once and stretched out the card. Just as Sam stretched out to take it, Adonis pulled it back. "On second thought, no. These people believe they can handle anything. So, I'm taking back my card." A smile was on his face as he looked at Violet.

"It's probably fake!" Violet yelled out suddenly. She's definitely not going to accept defeat yet. " I mean think about it. There's no way Adonis will have that card. He probably stole it or it's a fake."

"Exactly!" Stella blurted in quickly. "That was why he withdrew it. Adonis is definitely holding a card that isn't his. He works as a security guard and must have seen a customer drop it," she explained.
