Chapter 63: Darius Survives

[Thirty years ago ]

Darius was bored.

He was so bored, even keeping track of time wasn't enough to occupy him. If not for the resident AI on the space shuttle, he would have lost track of time.

His clothes were dirty and ragged out. The space shuttle had only so much space. He couldn't even stand straight inside.

He hadn't eaten anything for all these years too. "I miss those days." He muttered.

He didn't go crazy even when he should have. Not all humans had a strong will to withstand being lonely for so long.

But then again, he was no longer a human.

The feeling of misery in his heart almost made him curse the one who sent him on this journey, but he had to restrain himself.

The agonizing torture he experienced had caused a nearly unremovable seed of fear to be planted in his heart.

Sometimes, he was fascinated by the powers of this person. Despite the passage of time, he had barely aged. He didn't even need to answer the call of nature.
