CHAPTER THREE

I sat on the couch, trying to catch my breath after what I just went through. But I know my running isn’t over because of the people that wanted me dead. But I was home now. In planet, Yoda, it was a planet for all. Aliens and other things I don’t even know how to better describe them. And robots.

But since I was home, they had no way of getting me. Well, they can follow me, but they knew they wouldn’t get me here. So, they always wait I do something stupid to end up on their planet and then they will make me pay for what I have done.

But I need to find a buyer for the diamond I held in my position before they come looking for it or hire someone that will care less if he kills me or anyone in his way. If it was as valuable as ugly said it was, then they will surely do something to get it back from me.

The inside was lit with blue lights. But some parts had white lights. Overall, the whole space ship looked perfect. I have been leaving here ever since I decided to be independent and move out of the house of the man that took me in.

Also, because I didn’t want him to get in trouble because of me. Even though he threatened to sell me a couple of times because I did something stupid, I know deep down he cares for me, just like his son.

I turned on the radio if there was something that will help me get my levels up. Or anything about what just happened to me. About me stealing the diamond. But there was just music playing and at some point, they talked about Xenda’s game. The only game I wanted to enter and the reason I was doing what I was doing.

If I get enough points, I will get to play the game.

I turned the radio off as I walked and began loading my gun and cleaning my sword and my dagger; I covered them in nothing but alien blood and gut. But I was used now.

After I finished, I went to lay my head for tomorrow. I need to go and sell that diamond. Been with it for days wasn’t going to help me in any way. I needed to get rid of it as soon as possible so that it’s no longer in my position.

But before the dream word took over me, I looked at my level and I was in level six now. Looking at my life, I had enough to keep me safe tomorrow, and I had enough weapons up my sleeves.

And before I knew it, I was far gone.

*

I opened my eyes to a knock on the door. I opened my eyes but closed it again due to too much light. Did I sleep that much?

“Open this door, Trevor!” someone called outside, and their tone didn’t sound calm at all.

Could they have followed me here? Did they find me?

I slowly left the bed and took my lesser gun from my side bed and walked slowly to the door. I looked through the small hole in the door and it was just some crazy woman that had apparently had nothing better to do but bother me in the morning.

I pulled open the door and smoke left the hinges. She had long blue hair that she tied in a ponytail and I could see that it reached her kneecaps. Which was just perfect, judging by the fact that she was tall and all.

She was slim, like me, actually. Her hands were that of a cricket and same applies with her legs. At some point, I thought she was a cricket. But she said she was a Her. Pretty weird name, but I didn’t ask. I just went on with it.

She had four eyes. Two on either side. And they were blue, matching her hair color. But the noise and the mouth looked just like that of a human. Like me.

She was only wearing enough to cover her genitals and breasts. The rest of her body was outside.

She smiled at me, allowing her point teeth to be outside. I just forced a smile back at her. “What brings you to my ship this morning? And it better be good for you to wake me up at this time,” I spoke in a warning tone.

She looked down and up at me again with an apologetic face. But I kept my serious face on. “It’s my son. I need your help to free him,” she spoke.

“Again? I just freed that bastard like two nights ago,” I spoke and gestured for her to enter. I removed my dirty laundry from the chair and offered it to her.

She took her sit but bend her head because she was that tall even when she sat. “I know. And I’m sorry about this. But you are the only one that can free him from their prison. I don’t have anyone else I can turn to,” she looked me in the eye with watery eyes.

Just as I was about to respond, there was a beep on my wrist. I pressed on it and the screen came up. The fast thing is saw was what she just told me.

Whoever frees her son from the prison will receive coins enough to level him or her up two more levels. And here she was saying she only trusted me for the job.

“I had to ask the force first. And they said no for the record. But I trust you for the job,” she spoke and stood up.

“Whatever, you can go now. I will see if I can do it. Because I have other things that I need to attend to,” I spoke, and she left.

But before I closed the door on her, she turned, “bring him or you will die. You know that, isn’t it?” she smirked at me.

Psychopath.

I shut the door, and I began what was for the day. My level was now more advanced. I mean, I was just stealing for people and doing small things for me to survive the day. But now I’m getting notifications about rescuing some bastard that got himself locked in another planet.

The last time she asked me to help him out was just an illegal job. And I was luck to have survived. Because I didn’t have the weapons for the job. But now I do and I was going to make sure I get those coins to increase my level.

With the coins I will get from selling the damn daimons, I will surely enter Xenda’s game.

But now I need to visit the stole. I need to have only one thing to worry about. The kid and that is that.
