The corpse collector

Sussy fell asleep, I left the room, walking around the places, there were some who came prepared they came in with foodstuffs. I saw Marco with his guild members drinking. I went straight into an abandoned area. It was dark, dusting and looking so I looked around then saw that it's the same just like in the game. 

So I found the place which would take me underneath the house. It was dark and cold, I kept on moving forward, then I sensed Mana. I know what's guarding this place. [ LV EIGHT MONSTER BLACK HALO ] 

Black halo guard this area, they are rats having a white long tail. I said, "I just pray the magic item is here." I walked further into a light, I saw the black halo, the halo strikes, he shoots bolts of lightning from the tip of his tail I evaded it using my fire. I said, "I can stop his attack, the lightning generates and Pierce's in a straight line, the main problem is locating the black halo as he can move in lightning speed."

I took a deep breath remained focus, total concentration if I can react quickly to his attack I will be fine, black halo strikes again shooting out lightning I heard the sound behind me, using my fire dragon breathe I turned and redirect lightning, from my hands I breathe out fire shoot at black halo it was so fast he Dodge my attack. 

Black halo attacking randomly, things started to become so difficult. The lightning came one after another. I got annoyed. I spinned around with my two hands. I created a fire in the form of a circle and lash it out. 

Black halo held, I quickly ran straight to a treasure chest. I opened it and saw some magic items.

" Exactly what I need " despite unlocking the detect magic I couldn't still make a clean hit on black halo. 

It was also difficult for the black halo because with my new ability to detect magic, I can sense where the halo is.

I decided to gamble a little. From behind me the black halo struck with lightning. It zaps me. As I was going down. I noticed black halo had lost his guard. "Hell flame" I yelled. The black halo was caught in a fire. 

Hell flame is a type of fire attack that constantly burns its enemy . They can't escape from the fire. The only way is to neutralize it, black halo do not have such ability so the fire consumed it. 

I desperately opened my guard so that the black halo could attack, giving him the idea he had won. " But it hurt "

I received five thousand coins adding it with my previous five thousand which makes it ten thousand. I bought XP points and a recovery health, the black halo didn't cause too much damage on me so I saved the recovery health. 

" Time to get the next magic item." From the previous chest I opened I obtained a poison immunity so head outside passing through a secret way. Stepping outside, the atmosphere was dull. I can see the poison mix with the air since I got poison immunity. I can breathe fine. 

I expected not to see anyone outside alive what I see were dead people, I became depressed, I thought games were fun, this is real and people are dying, I thought about what Sussy told me, see the world and make your decision choose what is right and I am going to carry a huge load on my shoulder I will not only save Sussy I will continue fighting to save this world from this mess, I don't care if I become a demon. 

[ MAGIC DETECT ] Surprisingly I detect magic. It baffles me, someone else is around. I sneaked around to see who that was, it was the copes collector. "Why is a corpse collector here," I wondered. 

I kept watching, the corpse collector was talking to everyone who was dead but why. I have heard about the cospe collector in the game but I have never had a match with him. 

The corpse collector has a shape like a smoke gathered in one spot dark with two bright eyes. I ignored it, the reason why I was here was to get a magic item. I kept walking, I went into stealth mode making sure I did not make any sound. 

Then I hid inside a small house, unlucky for me there were corpse inside, I realized I have mess up quickly I need to move out, unthinking about it I rushed out and right there the copse collector was staring at me I was staring back at him, my mouth wide open I thought maybe if I don't move my body the copse collector might think I am dead. 

The corpse collector attacked using his hand trying to crush me, his hand was big and wide. I Dodge it and it hit the ground, part of that spot pulverized. I ran, he came after me shooting fireball at me, I kept dodging and running away I decided to try if my attack can have effect on him, when I saw an open I attacked using my fire breathing,

Nothing happened, the fire went through, what to do, I asked myself. The collector attacked again, this time it shut a water ball using my dragon shield. I block the water ball. The water was hot, it felt like volcano lava. I could feel the heat coming from the steam. 

I refuse to accept that I can't hit the collector, I dash sideways this time I increase my mana, using dragon breathing ability I release fire from my hands the collector attacks back with fire, both our fire clash it was a battle of power. I yelled, pushing the fire to the collector. 

It was really difficult, I could feel my mana dropping, I couldn't hold it, the collector was able to push it back to me, I dodged and jumped out of the way, the fire exploded, I fell on the ground and rolled. 

I quickly stood up, I shot a little fire, it floated to the collector's face and exploded. I did cover the collector's face as I escaped to find somewhere to hide. The collector lost sight of me but was checking every corner looking for me. 

I started lamenting "What should I do, should I held back to the safe house, he will definitely come after me and I might put everyone in danger," I lost a lot of Mana, this time it was tougher than the fight against the dragon, I couldn't think of anyone coming to rescue me,  I need to survive I can't die here. 

And then something came through my mind, I came here to get a magic item let us say I was playing a game and I am in a boss battle the game provide utilities, items to defeat the boss just like the fight against the dragon those crystal was an advantage for us then that means my only option is the magic item. 

That could work, I used my detect magic ability to sense where the magic item is and also where the collector is, I got their location, I can make it to the item. 

I ran, running towards it, the collector saw me. [ YOU HAVE UNLOCKED NEW ABILITY ] 

[ MAGIC ARROW ] 

Good thing I increased my XP, using this arrow I won't fight it at close range, I suddenly ran into an uncompleted building and out, I kept on outrunning the collector, the collector again lost sight of me. 

I can control the arrow, and so release the first shot, before it get to the collector I make sure change the direction of the arrow from where it was fired, but still didn't damage the collector as the arrow went through, but I kept on shooting, there have to be a weak point the collector couldn't pinpoint me.  

Something strange happened, I felt despair, something wasn't right, I couldn't think clearly, I became confused, something was causing insanity. It was so annoying I started feeling my HP [ [HEALTH POINT ] reducing. 

"What is happening?"
