Chapter Six

Survival. 

Why am I weak, I can't do a single thing, why does it always have to be Rem, my knees on the floor. I was in a lot of tears feeling regret. Ever since I saw her she has been in one problem. "Sussy," I started calling on Sussy, I saw her lying down and I rushed to her. 

"Sussy, Sussy," I continued calling her, she had passed out, "this isn't safe I need to get into town, the next scenario is survival. I need to stop acting as if everything was going exactly according to the game I played a lot.

In the game Suho always travels with Rem. She never falls into any deep sleep. This is a life in another world, a world I wish for. I guess one should be careful of what he wishes for.

I carried Sussy and started heading into town, Sussy passed out because she was trying so hard to save Rem. The gravity became heavier, I could hardly breathe, I think those were the kind of god tier magic Marco was talking about. 

Sussy regained consciousness, I was carrying her on my back. "What happened?" Asked Sussy. "I think you passed out," I replied. I asked "Are you ok?"

"We couldn't save her right?" Asked Sussy. She held me so tight, buried  her face on my back, I knew she was crying. I let her be. 

We got into town, the place was dried up, no one was around, there were alot of uncompleted buildings, a notification popped up 

[ ONE HOUR BEFORE THE NEXT SCENARIO BEGINS ] I was glad I made it on time but where is it, where is the room located. 

Finally I saw a few people crowded in one area, so I went there. 

" You are finally here," said Marco. He looked around, "you carried her all the way down here, I envy you guys bound, it wasn't too long ago she wanted to bail you out with all she had," explained Marco. Sussy was already fast asleep.

" I am sure you guys will make a great family," said Marco. I started laughing. 

" Congratulations on making it to the next phase," said COM 001. She continues speaking "The next scenario start in thirty minutes it's called survival, goodluck," 

"That's it" people murmuring, everyone was baffled. There weren't too many details just like the first one. I already have an idea what will happen next. I was thinking about it_ "Wait, I thought there were three of you?" Marco asked. 

"Yes, she was taken away from us," I replied. "Taking away, how?" Asked Marco. I said, "I don't know why, but I know who did, his name is Altair." 

"Altair, hope you are not planning on fighting him? Altair is one of the generals among here, it's unwise to start a war with him," explained Marco. 

He's right, but I don't care if he took what was precious to me. I will continue fighting until I save her. 

"If you want a space to rent, hurry up we have unlimited space." Someone yelled. I was looking for him, the caretaker. [ CARETAKER ] 

People started negotiating for space, it was quite expensive, the caretaker doesn't care about you, just your money. That's what he needs. He plays mind games with you, making you spend all the coins you have. He controls this area. 

Alot of players couldn't afford the space, some guild members were separating themselves because they couldn't afford to pay for everyone, this time it was Everyman for himself. 

" I am glad I collected that twenty thousand coins from that lady," said Marco. Marco and his guild members spent twenty thousand coins to rent a space. 

Uproar, everywhere as people started making noise. "What is going on?" Sussy woke up. "What am I doing on your back?" She yelled, she started blushing feeling embarrassed. 

" Sorry Sussy if I am making you feel uncomfortable, please I can't let you leave my back yet," I said. "The next scenario is about to start, as you can see people are running here and there to get coins you don't have any coins please I will need you to act as you are sleeping until I rent a space," I explained. 

Sussy did as I had instructed her. I walked to the caretaker, and I said, "I want to rent a space." I have just twenty thousand coins with me. " A space will cost you fifteen thousand coins, but it seems there are two of you which makes it thirty thousand coins," the caretaker said. 

I said, "I am only paying fifteen thousand coins, the lady on my back is my kid sister, we are playing this game together, fifteen thousand coins that's all I have." Trying so hard to convince him, I made him think I have just fifteen thousand coins. He believed she was my sister. He made a final offer of twenty thousand coins. It was take it or leave it. 

I accepted, for I had no choice. I was teleported into a huge house, right there I was shown my space, my safe house, there were a lot of players already teleported in, I rolled my eyes if I could find Suho, I didn't see him anywhere but I knew he was here, then I dropped down Sussy.

"Why is everyone taking harbor here?" Asked Sussy. " Because the next scenario which is about to start in the next five minutes is survival, there is this poison that will be spread all over the places except in here, the poison won't reach this place," I explained. 

I noticed Sussy's face, she became serious, " so all those people who couldn't afford to rent a space are just going to die," said Sussy.  I nodded. Sussy said, "Then, the caretaker knows about it but still, he made a ridiculous amount to rent a space." 

Sussy was walking away, I rushed and stopped her. I said, "you are going to argue with the caretaker that won't work, you are only going to make things worse." 

"You can't argue or make the caretaker mad you will instantly be transported out, that's, you will end up right in the middle of the poison and that's instant death. This is the agreement we all made before renting a space." 

Sussy later calmed down, I made her see that whatever she does won't change a thing, the scenario has already started and I believe anyone outside is already dead. We went back into our safe house, we sat on the bed. "Was this the reason why you asked us to spell some coins? Back at the dragon cave," Sussy asked. "Yes," I replied.

"I am starting to feel like Suho, ending this game_" "So why is it called survival if we aren't doing anything in here?" Asked Sussy. I said, "this scenario will last three days, we will be in here without food or water." 

Three days staying here, there were a lot in my mind, what will happen to Rem, will Hacker come in here to look for me, what about my destiny, to fight anyone who is trying to stop this game, wouldn't that make me Suho's enemy.  I asked Sussy, "What do you think about me joining Hacker in order to fulfill my mission?" 

"You can still change the path you have chosen, I will say continue moving forward, see things for yourself and make your choice, choose what you think is right," said Sussy. 

Her words encourage me, my feelings for her continue to grow each day. I couldn't stop looking at her as she was also looking back at me. Unexpectedly she kissed me. It lasted for a minute, then she rested on my lap. 

Back home playing level up I had a little adventure playing the surviving mission. There were some hidden places with items and treasure. This time I am going alone. I decided not to go with Sussy because she didn't rent a space so she stood back as I took on this mission alone.
