The announcement was made through the media room in the guidance of Lucas. Ten minutes later, all the students of the Academy were assembled on the ground. Eren's wounds were now treated and he was again covered in bandages.

"Shall we head towards the assembly hall, young boy?" William was being sarcastic which was a rare sight to witness for Lucas.

Eren walked together with William and Lucas to a large assembly hall. Hundreds of students were gathered there and when they saw William arriving they stopped talking and became quiet. But this time he wasn't surprised, rather concerned because he was not following the dress code. Everyone was wearing the uniform assigned by the Academy.

It was black three-piece suit for boys and short black skirts and white full sleeves shirts for girls.

"Don't worry. You are given a scholarship in my Academy so I will be the one to provide you with books, pc and uniform," William said.

"Are you a fortune teller?"

" No, it's written all over your face that you are concerned about these things," William replied, sarcasm dripping off his every word.

William then separated from Eren and walked towards the microphone stand. Tapping the surface of the mic, he greeted everyone with a smile.

" Good morning my young Spartans. I have received a complaint against some of you and it was not pleasant for me."

William's smile disappeared and his eyes were back to being full of rage as he continued saying further," I never expected my students would take pleasure in shaming the topper of NEE. Before laughing at that boy's poverty, have you ever thought about yourself?"

" Why couldn't anyone among yourselves top the NEE? Aren't you all from prestigious families?"

''Wow, his speech is strong and clear,'' Eren mumbled.

"Who do you think he is? Before becoming Director, he was Colonel in Black army," Lucas whispered near him in a proud tone.

“Wow, isn't it the deadliest army of National Security?” Eren's eyes sparked in curiosity as he looked at William. Then suddenly he heard Michael and Rose's names being called on the stage.

William turned back and asked Eren to come forward and stand beside him.

"Wrapping his right arm casually around Eren's shoulders, William introduces," He's our Academy's diamond. The topper of world's most difficult exam NEE. Clap for Eren Morningstar."

At first everyone was shocked to see Eren in bandages. Their faces became worried but Eren smiled at them. The assembly hall filled with applause and cheers. Everyone's eyes were curious and sparkling with admiration for Eren except a few freshers. The ones who participated in morning's commotion alongside Michael and Rose.

Eren shared a quick glance at Michael who was giving him death stares whilst Rose was trembling in fear. Eren smiled faintly at her, it must be the first time for her being called out for involvement in punishment.

Clapping stopped and William walked towards Michael. Towering in front of him , William indifferently asked," Did you perhaps think that my Academy is your uncle's playground?"

Michael remained quiet, the fear could be seen in his eyes. The dominant aura of the Director overwhelmed a bully like Michael.

Turning his eyes at Rose, William scolded,

"And I heard you are from the same society as Eren? How could you make fun of your neighbour? I'm disappointed in you, Rose.”

Rose's legs started trembling profusely causing her to fall down on her knees. Her face was red in embarrassment and her eyes were teary. She then looks at Eren, indirectly begging for his attention to her pitiful state.

Eren clenched his fists because his love for Rose was genuine. But after realising the truth he couldn't bring himself to feel the same love for her.

" Don't have words in your defence? I see , then I will give you reasonable punishment so that you both feel the humiliation for the rest of your days in the academy," William exclaimed and looked at Lucas.

" Strip Michael Stanford from his position of Academy's President."

"N-No sir. Please forgive me for my stupidity," Michael pleaded guilty but it was too late.

Lucas snatched the President logo from Michael's front pocket and handed it over to William. Taking the logo, William leaned forward and clipped the logo on Eren's left pocket.

"Eren Morningstar will be the new President of student's council. Applause for your new President."

'Hm, I suppose this is how I should complete the quest,’Eren thought, zoning out for a second.

"What should we do with you, idol student Rose?" William coldly questioned jolting Eren out of his thoughts.

"Should I suspend you from the Academy? You are the–

"Director, I think it would be best to forgive her with a warning. If she does anything like this again,you can punish her however you want," Eren interrupted.

"Aww," our new President is so kind-hearted," the girls cheered.

But Eren was unmoved because he was doing the last favour to Rose.

"Very well. I'll keep your word," William asked Lucas to give a warning letter to Rose.

"You all can leave for your respective classes," saying that William turned back to return to his office when he noticed Eren joining the student's queue.

"Hey, young boy, where are you going? Come with me."

"Why? Shouldn't I be late for my first class if I followed you?" Eren asked, frowning down.

Narrowing his eyes, William chuckled," Are you sure?" He was giving a concerned look at Eren's bandaged body.

"If you can, then I'll have no problem. It's just you will have to participate in lots of physical activities and–

"I'm coming," Eren replied.

William smiled at Eren which was not comforting. Lucas and other bodyguards felt the chills down their spines. Probably they were not used to this side of Director William Robertson.

Upon arriving in the office, Lucas brought the boxes and placed them on the table.

"The books, notebooks, PC and other necessary items are packed into these boxes. You can carry them home," Lucas coldly informed.

"Do you think he can carry those heavy boxes in his sorry state?"

"No sir," Lucas apologised and called the bodyguards inside and ordered them to carry those boxes.

Eren, Lucas and other two bodyguards looked at William for the next direction. William dramatically crossed his legs and leaning back on his chair he said," Young boy I'll grant you one week leave for your recovery."

" Okay."

"Huh? Okay? Aren't you thankful that I'm showing you favouritism?"

Eren sighed before replying to William's ridiculous questions," Because it's your responsibility to show favouritism. Aren't I now the honourable President of the student's council?"

"Cunning fox you are. Impressive," William chuckled but his eyes were devoid of emotions. It was like he was seeing through Eren's soul.

And Eren just glanced at William indirectly saying he wasn't easy to be controlled by some oldman. He then followed bodyguards to the parking lot.

30 minutes later

Two grand Rolls Royce cars entered the Maidens society in broad daylight and parked outside Eren's house. The people living in the society gathered around and their jaws dropped in awe of surprises.

"Isn't that Olivia's son? Why is he covered in bandages? Did he get beaten up by gangs again?Why is coming out of such an expensive car?" One woman among the crowd bombarded with questions.

"And those men in black are fully armed. Are they national security guards?" Others asked.

"Look, they are carrying those big boxes inside Olivia's house. Is she buying stock from rich casino bosses?"

All kinds of gossiping and comments were made but Eren decided to ignore those people. The people of Maidens society were self-centred and cowardly. They won't come together and fight lawfully against the corrupt Mayor for the poor state of our society's people. They blame themselves for their poor lifestyle even after paying heavy taxes.

"We are done with the delivery. We will take our leave," the bodyguards replied and got inside the respective cars.

AWKWARD SILENCE

The crowd looked at Eren with curiosity and to their disappointment, Eren walked inside and closed his house's door.

"Damn! What do they want? I'm not obligated to explain my personal matters to them!"

Eren was about to walk upstairs, and take a long nap when suddenly he heard a loud cry of a girl. He couldn't stop himself from rushing out.

"Help me someone. They're going to kill it," the girl's voice grew louder and painful.

Eren followed the direction from where the sound was coming and he arrived at the deserted alleyway. He tip-toes towards the wall and peeked at the scene happening.

Two muscular guys were holding knives and hovering around a girl who was holding her cat tightly. Eren couldn't see their faces because it was a little shady in the alley.

'I shouldn't get involved in her matter. And with my health condition I should avoid getting into fights,' that's what Eren thought before that damn quest board appeared.

He then saw an old book of spells which was under $800. Eren was hesitating because he doesn't want to spend his rewards balance.

The two guys turned towards Eren, and laughed,"Boy get lost or else we'll turn you into a corpse."

Eren calmed down his rapid breathing and read the first spell on the book he just bought from the system's shop.
