Nothing happened. Eren looked at his attributes, it was clearly mentioned that he has the skill to perform any spells. He tried once again but nothing happened.

"Has he finally lost his mind?" One of the guy annoyingly asked and strode at Eren.

Grabbing him by his collar,he scowled,"Boy we don't like playing with kids. Leave or I'll beat the hell out of–

Eren fell down, adjusting his shirt as he looked at the two frogs hopping in front of him. His eyes glowed in excitement because he finally knew how to use his skill.

"What the fuck?" Eren immediately gets up, hiding the spell book into his backpack. He then grabs the girl's hand and starts running out of there.

"Are you a magician?" The girl asked but Eren was too busy escaping.

They kept running until they were out of that deserted alleyway. Eren stopped and released the girl's hand, he took a deep breath. The girl offered her handkerchief after noticing Eren's sweats.

"Thank you," he took the handkerchief and wiped his face and neck and threw it into the trash bin nearby.

The girl panicked and asked," Why would you throw it? I could have washed it."

"No need. Here's $100 , get a new handkerchief."

"B-But– what's your name? I'm Sophia."

Eren turned back and looked at the girl. She was probably the same age as his but unlike his ex-girlfriend, she was tall and curvy. And from her clothing and dialect, she seemed from the upper class society. He leaned close to her and whispered near her right ear.

"Forget about today's accident. I would advise you to not enter inside Maidens society. It's dangerous for weak girls like you," Eren replied before walking inside his house.

He didn't bother to hear Sophia's reason because he thought getting involved with an upper class's girl was troublesome. Upon arriving in his room, Eren threw his tired body on the bed and read the new attributes added into his information board.

"Should I take my mother to a restaurant? She hasn't been to one I think," Eren thought and called Olivia.

Unfortunately her number was coming unreachable. Eren puts his phone aside and takes a nap. Few hours later,he gets up and starts preparing dinner. The house's door opened and Olivia walked inside. Eren rushed out of the kitchen and greeted his mother.

"I was busy making money. Look what I brought," Olivia was enthusiastic as she showed the boxes of fried chicken and pizzas.

Handing the boxes to Eren she said,"C'mon let's eat together."

"Hm, yes mother."

Eren was happy, for the first time in these years Olivia had smiled at him and expressed her love for him. He quickly brought the dishes he had cooked and served Olivia. Both of them were about to eat when their door bell ranged.

"Who's ringing our bell at this hour?" Olivia mumbled.

"It's me, Sophia. I have come here to express my gratitude," a girl's voice replied from outside.

Olivia looked at Eren with curiosity," I thought Rose was your girlfriend?"

" We broke up."

"So is Sophia your new girlfriend?"

"No. She's a random girl who I helped," Eren answered and stormed towards the door. Opening the door aggressively he shouted," I think I told you to forget about today's incident. I don't want your gr–

His words got struck in his throat when he saw William Robertson standing behind Sophia. William glanced down at Eren and then looked at Sophia.

"Are you sure this bandage covered boy rescued you from the street bullies?"

"Yes, grandpa. He was very cool when he casted the–

Before she could say anything further Eren palmed her mouth with his hands and whispered,"Don't even mention that , otherwise I'll never tell you my name."

"What's your name? I promise I'll keep your secret safe with me."

"Eren. Eren Morningstar," he replied.

Sophia smiled and gave the flower bouquet to him as a thankful gift. But some were not happy. Eren's mother and William were staring at each other with hatred.

"Son, ask them to leave if they're done thanking you. Food is getting cold," saying that Olivia went inside.

"She was hiding in this shady society," William murmured, glancing at Olivia and said," Sophia we should get going or else your mother will scold me. Eren's mother is probably annoyed with our sudden interference during their dinner time."

"I wanted to talk to you more but I guess I will have to return back. But grandpa, how do you know his name?"

"He's a topper of NEE and is a student of my Academy," William replied, shocking Sophia.

"Wow," she reacted and before leaving she shook hands with Eren.

Eren couldn't pull his hand back because she was lightning quick. She then waves goodbye and leaves with William. Eren closed the door and returned back to the dining room.

"Mother, he was Director of my Academy. I didn't know that girl was his granddaughter."

"He's your grandfather," Olivia indifferently replied, giving a sudden shock to Eren.

Biting the piece of chicken and sipping on the wine Olivia continued talking," Your father was his youngest son who was kicked out of Robertson family, stripped out of the family name and property. And all that because he married a woman from the lower class."

"Mother, are you drunk? Let me help you get to your room," Eren gets up to escort Olivia.

"I'm very much sober after seeing that man's face. Please son, don't get influenced by that wicked oldman. He was the one—

Olivia collapsed on the floor due to over consumption of alcohol. Eren helped her and brought her to her bedroom. Making his mother lay down,he covered her with the blanket. But before leaving he was reminded of his mother's words.

"What if it's true?" Eren started looking into drawers of Olivia's dressing table and her closet.

He couldn't find anything except his and Olivia's photos. When he was about to leave the room, a box dropped off from the cupboard's edge. Eren was quick to catch it from falling down, he then opened it and was speechless at what he saw.

"I-It's true? That scary oldman is my grandfather?"

Eren's face frowned as he looked at the man with jet-black hair and green eyes as his. He then searched inside the box and found letters of Xavier Robertson (his father) but he didn't read them as it would invade his mother's privacy.

At bottom he found a golden ring which had two snakes carved out and between their mouth's meeting was a huge emerald fixed. It was like a family heirloom of Robertson because that two interwoven snake holding emerald is the emblem of Robertson patriarchy.

Eren saw a note stuck at the bottom of the box. It reads,"Olivia, give this ring to my son when he turns 18. I want him to be brave, not a cowardly man like me. Maybe I will be dead when my next letter reaches you... I love you my beautiful Olivia and Eren."

'Is it a note written by my father?' Eren got emotional for being in a dilemma that his father was an abuser and abandoned Olivia after getting her pregnant with child.

He takes the ring and puts the rest of the letters inside the box. Locking it back,he carefully puts it from where it dropped. Returning back to his room, he sat down on his gaming chair and stared at the ring.

"So my father was long dead. Man, even if I don't like my father, the truth still hurts. It will be impossible for me to respect the Director William Robertson," he mumbled annoyingly.

"Should I sell this ring? It will fetch a pretty decent price."

He carefully looks at the ring and decides to try it on his index finger. As soon as he put the ring in his finger, his body started floating in the air. The bright golden light seeped out of his body, illuminating the whole room into brightness. His wounds and bruises healed like magic. Two golden snakes crawled on his either arms and then suddenly dissolved into his skin in the form of tattoos.

The light disappeared and Eren found himself back in his chair. His eyes then caught the sight of tattoo markings on his arms.

"What the– how come I have snake tattoos stretching from my shoulder to wrists ?" Eren cursed looking at his hands.

That very moment the attribute tabs appeared with new messages.
