Chapter 8: Securing the order

The next day, Aubrey decided to go to Majestic Group's new office here to take a chance.

She couldn't believe that she asked the money back with the help of Zayn, so she must prove her ability. 

The best way was to get an order from Majestic Group.

But when Aubrey and Adonis arrived, she felt perturbed

She released an exasperated sigh. “I wonder how we are going to get an order. I don’t even think we can get us 5000 dollar order talkless of 20 million dollars. We are just dreaming as Zayn had said.”

“Well, I know you can do it.”

“No, I can’t. Besides, Zayn knew the Majestic group's owner. How would I get it when he’s currently angry at me? I sincerely can’t afford to leave the company, it’s all I have now,” she expressed.

Adonis regarded her for a moment and wondered what was really going on with her. He knew that there were still things that were yet to be revealed to him. 

“No, I heard it’s a collaboration. Max heads the Majestic group. If we could change Max’s mind. Then, it would be very easy for us to secure that kind of a deal,” he explained.

Aubrey sighed again. “And do you know who Max is? He’s Zayn's father's co partner. There’s no way he would help us if Zayn wants otherwise,” she wondered aloud.

“But then, we can always try. Though, I’m positive about it. I know you can do it. I’m certain you will be able to convince him. I just need you to trust yourself.”

Aubrey smiled inwardly. Actually, she hadn’t heard someone motivate her for so long. And it felt good to her.

Aubrey found a perfect place to park the car and turned to Adonis. “Let’s go.”

“Wait!” Adonis said quickly, interrupting. “I’m sorry but I think I need to use the bathroom.”

Aubrey nodded once. “Be fast and meet me inside,” she voiced out and got out of the car. 

Adonis waited for Aubrey to get inside before he pulled out his phone. Actually, he has come across  Max several times when he was still a general.

In fact, they had a deal sometime like that when he had to go on a special mission.

And he still had his contact on his phone. 

Max picked up after the second ring. “Fire dragon?” He sounded shocked. He couldn’t believe that the Fire dragon was actually the one calling. Though, he had his contact saved on his phone.

“It’s been a while, Max,” Adonis muttered.

“Oh My!” Max jubilated at the other end. “It’s so nice to hear from you again after so long! I’ve tried to reach you severally but all to no avail,” he stated while excitement etched his voice.

Adonis nodded briefly even though Max couldn't see him. “I’m in Seattle. Actually, I need help from you.”

“A help? Anything!” He proposed. “I will do anything for the Fire dragon.”

Adonis smiled at this utterance. “There’s a Caddel in your company to see you now. Caddel Aubrey and she needs an order from the Majestic group that you head.”

“You want me to give out some of the order?” He said quickly before Adonis would finish his statement. “Consider it done, boss! This is the least of what I can do for you. I’m just glad that I could speak to you today.”

“But there’s something else. I might be with her but I don’t want you to acknowledge me. She must not know who I am. I hope you can do this.”

“Perfectly, I will do my best. Since you are downstairs, I will come and get you.”

After ending the call, Adonis entered the company and moved closer to Aubrey. Aubrey was still discussing it with the secretary.

“I just told you I really have to see him. It’s urgent. Just give me a chance,” she pleaded.

The secretary shook her head briefly. “I’m sorry but I can’t let you go in unless you have an appointment with him. Without that, no one is allowed entrance,” she stated defiantly.

Aubrey, finally exhausted, turned to look at Adonis. “Let’s just go home.”

Adonis shook his head briefly. “We must try harder. We shouldn’t give up so easily,” he looked at the secretary. “Even if we aren’t on the list of his appointments. You could actually have called him to find out. Being adamant is disrespectful!” He declared and this got on the secretary's bad side.

She regarded Adonis for a moment and smiled softly. “Will you leave this place at this moment or do you want me to call security?”

“And why would you want to do so?” Aubrey butt in. “We only demanded Mr. Max. We don’t deserve to be insulted and embarrassed.”

“Well, you caused the line. So, you better get out before I change my mind. And you,” she gave Adonis a dirty stare. “You should probably think of working under the bridge or someplace that matches your description. Someone like you had no right to mess with this company!” She sounded angry now.

For a moment, Aubrey couldn’t do anything. She felt like it was a bad idea to hope on the offer that her grandmother claimed.

Aubrey looked at Adonis. “Let’s leave, Adonis.”

Adonis shook his head briefly. “No, we won’t do that. We are staying right here until we speak with Max!” He stated stubbornly.

“Seriously? Then you will get the worst way out. Security!” She called out.

“And what the fuck is happening here?” A thick baritone voice sounded suddenly. Max walked closer to them.

At the sight of Adonis, his mouth went wide in shock for a moment. He was going to mention his name and hug him like friends but he remembered what he told him earlier. 

“So, these people wanted to discuss with you. They have no appointment with you. So, I told them to leave but they instead started to cause a nuisance.

Adonis felt angry all of a sudden. “What do you mean about that ?”

Aubrey had her hand on her head in a frustrated way.

But it wasn't only Adonis that was angry, Max was getting annoyed as well.
