Chapter 33

Dario took the doctor to Maria’s private room in the hospital. She looked more pale and her lips were dry and cracked. Her breathing was also still weak and so was her pulse.

When they got to the room, they met three doctors in the room that had attended to Maria with Bruce.

“Welcome, young master,” Bruce said, slightly bowing. “What happened to you?!” he asked, his brows furrowed at the sight of how Dario looked.

He looked like he had engaged in a fight because he had blood stains on his clothes and a wrapped injury on his arm. Earlier, when Dario went to pick doctor Kay from his home, the doctor treated the cut on his arm and dressed it.

“It’s nothing serious, Bruce. I’m fine.”

Seeing Dario, one of the doctors immediately said, “Mr Dario, we’ve already done the best we can for your mother. We’re really sorry to say this, but there’s nothing else we can do.”
