Chapter 34

During the hour of wait, Maria’s skin began to regain its original complexion slowly. Her once pale skin became less pale as the clock ticked. The concussion had begun to adsorb the toxins from every part of her body.

“Her skin is changing,” one of the doctors nudged the other and whispered to him.

The other doctor pursed his lips disdainfully, “What bullshit! Are you seeing things? Because I can’t see anything!”

“This old man will only embarrass himself!”

They all waited for an hour, checking their watches as they mentally hastened the time. When the hour was finally over, one of them screamed, drawing everyone’s attention, “it’s already been an hour and nothing has happened!”

“Old man, all you did here was crap! It’s not even scientifically proven but you brought your sorry ass here to waste everyone’s time!”

Another doctor, Chris, said, “Mr Dario, I’m sorry on this old wretched man’s behalf. You shouldn’t have even given him a chance at all!”

The old man kept mute and only watche
