Chapter 07

"Very funny Lina, you don't just wake you one morning and the next thing is to devour your mate or as the vampire call it your zing, just because he or she is Human." She replies to me.

I giggled nervously because this is all still new to me.

"You Don't?" I asked, smiling.

"Of course, you aren't silly. Do You think Mavis Dracula From Hotel Transylvania would be able to live with herself if she married Johnathan in one month and ate him alive the next?" She asked.

"Awwn those two are the cutest version of a monster human marriage." I replied to her holding her hands.

"I know right, they are so in sync... But this is real world Lina, trust me honey, vampire, werewolves, witches and other monsters out there they don't believe in hotel Transylvania kind of shit." She says it hurts my feelings.

"Heck they don't even know that kind of movie. Hahaha" She says laughing.

"They don't?" I asked.

I was shocked to learn that.

Damn! I am still so childish.

How couldn't they? But who am I to complain so I just listened to what my mom was saying?

She sure still Didn't tell me about her own side of the story cause I am already fed up with all the news.

"Can you believe I was walking by last Saturday evening and then were making a thriller about the next movie About some monastery vacation and heck we don't give a shit yawl"

"Mom!? I thought you liked That movie?? And now you're starting to sound like an actual monster who doesn't like humans.... Except you are a true witch." I said to her with a smile.

"I know, I know, I'm sorry honey it is just. We are getting it all wrong no matter how many times we portray it in the movie that is our natural nature... Humans and witches, werewolves and vampires in particular can get along and we don't always have to be at each other's neck all the time despite the countless disagreements we would have.

It just doesn't link; it is just not working." She explains in frustration.

"So now what?" I asked in return.

"Your father risked his life to save you to save us. That's why he built this place here in the state as a secret century where no vampire or werewolf could ever come but only his spirit rogues." She said to me as I held her.

"But they did come, the moon Goddess." I said to her and she smiled.

"Yes, it means this place isn't safe anymore and we don't want to put this poor overpopulated unsuspicious county at risk... Again, I know, it is so sad and a little weird that I really love and hate this country." She says smiling.

"Uh, you just told me that the fate of the three worlds that I've been dying to belong to rests upon my shoulders, a teenager who is still a minor, so I am sure it is just the tip of the iceberg." I replied to her earliest statement.

"Oh, I'm sorry this is hard on you, you have to train and get ready to face the worst." She says as she holds me tightly to herself.

I stopped her in her sentence as I concluded with just four words.
