The horse was getting tired and Asura had nothing to feed it. It was getting harder to pull along and Asura was getting annoyed.    "Aish...You lazy thing! Corporate and come along! Asura had felt something coming close to him from the side as he turned, only to see a red arrow approaching. From the glimpse he had, this arrow was red and had red flames at its arrow point.   Before he could think of having a closer look or even think of avoiding it, the arrow had shut his left arm that was exposed to the street side and the instant pain struck him.  Asura twisted his face from the pain and immediately lost balance and track of direction, He slipped through the rooftop and then fell sideways to his left.  Down the rooftop and onto the ground of the street with a heavy bang.  It all happened so fast, Kai had sensed the arrow coming but stopping it seemed impossible as he knew who this arrow was from.  As Asura fell off the rooftop, he came to an abrupt stop and then jumped down to the ground where Asura had fallen.  "Are you okay?" The melody was riding the night, breading the air with its cunning and seductive melody along with its blue dust.  All who heard this melody were thrown into a pause. They'd stop and looked in the direction where this melody came from into the distance.  Their views would be blurry and their thoughts dumb. They would be thrown into an illusion-like situation which would make them think they were still thinking straight but in reality. The night atmosphere in the woods was too quiet and at times seen as odd. There naturally would be noises through the woods, sounds of animals like owls and birds, crying through the woods and filling the atmosphere with more awkwardness. One who walked alone at night would certainly feel strange about this.  Kai slowly ran his eyes through the sides with his ears doing the seeing. His ears twitched at every sound that was made in the bush. The sound of someone passing strangely and quickly struggled to be calm while he listened to the sound that came at every 10 seconds interval. He let his eyes follow the sound closely. But through his quest of tracing the sound with his eyes on that night, he didn't seem to see anything... He only heard.  Soon came the cry of an owl from a tall tree. The cry came once and twice. Kai found this awkward and suspicious enough as he looked up in the direction.  "What's that about? Who's it?" Asura wanted to know

They had continued their journey that night through the woods. Kai was mute as always while he led the way while Asura followed behind.  Asura was abnormally quiet. He was still thinking about what Kai had said. His reactions and speeches were all suspicious and Asura could tell that he wasn't telling him something. But what was it? Something related to the Cursed Forest? The reason he was the only person who survived? Perhaps the reason why Kai had suddenly become healed from the sudden side effect that had harmed his cultivation and would take long.  Asura also did track all these to the previous event when had seen The god of war. He had become furious and lost control. Then what happened next...
