Chapter 2 MEMORIES - PART 5
—Glum— The moment he set foot in the little town that was his first impression. But the morning was different. Too cheerful it seemed considering what happened yesterday. Even if you exempted that it’s not weird to see people that happy and all, but the atmosphere around that excitement didn’t seem natural. Might as well see if anyone would talk. It’s starting to feel pointless going slow at it. On the guise of buying a knife he came in to try to get the little he could. Well, he needed the knife anyway. He was never a fan of using weapons, but his hands and the occasional drops of weapon when handing the people that come at him. But who knows, having on on hand could come in handy, he thought. The smith set his hammer, head first, down leaning its shaft beside the rectangular slab of stone which the anvil sat and walked towards the hunter cleaning his hands on his dirt smudged apron. Years in this line of work gave the large old Dwarf a well toned body. He had a thick chestnut b

Letting her lead he followed… Through the rubbles into the foundation that held a building into the sand. As they went deeper into the building the stench of garbage slowly wafted up into his nose, getting stronger with each step he took. For him it was just too intense to bear, but he held back his complaints and did not so much as flinch. Where is she leading me? She led him through a tunnel of concrete slabs that got smaller with every step and out into a room, a dump. The room only had pillars and the floor was coated with the washed up filth from the town, possibly brought in by the winds and people dumping. He inspected the place and saw a makeshift bed from trash and pillow of stone, making him realize this was her home, she had no family. No wonder her stench. She was living in the most obscured place, underneath the building. Dangerous! If the building gave way she would be lost to the rubbles. Nothing changed in his expression, even now knowing the girl’s living condi

What’s happening? Where am I? This is… a memory? I remember! A world full of beauty. As the sun rose over the beautiful landscapes, the trees danced to the rhythm of the winds. Like a heavenly dream, I see a wooden cottage. It wasn’t that big but cozy enough to house a small family. Is this, home? —the year and time I can’t remember. The cottage sits on the far side of town, surrounded by all sorts of plants. Seems I loved Trees. I wake up to the sweet melodies of birds and the smooth, soft feel of a bed. I’d forgotten how it feels to sleep, on a bed. I hear a voice… no two, distant. I look out the window to find the voice of the little girl. She’s dancing in the Meadows, giggling. She looks nine. Another girl, a little older joins in chasing after her. I can’t help but faint a smile when she catches up to her. They fall on the soft grass rolling around and then resuming the chase. The long golden hair of the oldest and the shoulder length brunette hair of the little, raced

Chapter 2 MEMORIES - PART 8
"What the fuck?" Strained the faun. "Huh!" Everyone around, including his attackers were either scared or stunned the wits out—surprising because that hit was enough to kill the average person and even some of the more stronger people… He slowly lifted his leg and then lightly stomps his foot to the ground, he was up in a second. Kobar wiggled, punched and scratched to get out of his grip but it became tighter, not to mention unscathed from the attacks. "Huh?" "What, what's going on?" "I'm awake but I can't I have no control of my body" Something was wrong. The Nate in control was not the Nate. He was trapped in his own consciousness, shackled on the arms and feet, suspended in the air. The chains on the shackles on his feet drove into the ground of the white endless void of his consciousness and on his arms' stretching out into the endless white sky. "Where, am I?" He was in chains to his other, the one he feared, the one he hated, the one he fed to keep at bay, the root o

Chapter 3 THE ONE THAT YEARNED FOR ADVENTURE AND THE HUNTER - PART 1
"Any word…?" The orange glow from the setting sun that came through the giant window gave an orange hue to the entity clad in black that stood before the pane looking out to people of the ruin, busily about their daily business. Three days had passed after Nate's incident and everyone seemed to have already gone back to normal. "No, sire…" The man with the Mohawk is standing a few ways behind, with his hands in the pockets of his spiky leather jacket. Why didn't he take him out when he was vulnerable? What's his reason? Is he really afraid of that kid? Who or what is he for him to be meticulous? Just what's he planning? The man stared as these questions loomed within his mind. "..." "What is your wish?" "… All is set… Are you ready, little one?" He craned his neck to the side, to the girl sitting on the conference table swaying her legs. The man with the Mohawk followed in suit squinting his eyes wearing an expression with a hint of disdain towards the girl. "Hihihi. I sure

Chapter 3 THE ONE THAT YEARNED FOR ADVENTURE AND THE HUNTER - PART 2
A human was preparing food for the rush to come, one dwarfess sweeping and a half Elf-Orc girl washing the ingredients. "Where are the others?" Allora asked. "On break since there are not many around" Answered the young dwarfess. Allora walked over to the sink, pilled with bowls, she look and felt glum. She grabbed a plate and begun washing. Before Nate arrived she was more or less a chatterbox as her job called for it but now her mood unclear. She seems gloomier that usual. As expected. Getting her hopes up. I think we should try and cheer her up. As if they knew what each other was thinking they shared glances with each other. The girls knew her well enough to know she was acting a bit different. "Why so sad, Allora?" Asked the human girl. "Isn't it that obvious, Iluka, her hunter friend left her all alone" teased the beautiful half elf-Orc girl without much of an expression. She was a beauty—clearly gotten from elf-kin heritage, the only difference was her extremely pale

Chapter 3 THE ONE THAT YEARNED FOR ADVENTURE AND THE HUNTER - PART 3
That evening when she had forgotten to ask what he would want to eat and him asking for her help she wanted to lay everything out to him, but was unsure of herself or how to react for she knew the consequence if she said a word and if he was indeed to be trusted, contrary to how she felt. W-would it be okay if I did tell him? I'm not entirely sure if I should trust him nor do I really know what is happening. He just entered in here and I… No, it's best to keep quiet… Desperately holding back every single word that her mind wanted the spew out, she clung to her nervousness. She was least bothered about why he had her eat of his plate. Even as they spoke, him "interrogating" her, she had wanted to tell him the truth about the ruin, at least the one she knew. But finding a way to talk as there was someone present was the problem, especially if that person is him. She thought to herself even if she did find a way to tell him, she was uncertain, for things were rather unpredictable, the

Allora turned on her side so gently not to wake the little girl by her and cracked a comforting smile. She begun to drift into her thoughts, reminiscing the little excitement she had in the last couple of days… Nothing much happened on her side. The usual services and occasionally observing Nate every chance she got. He had being doing some exploring—rather some more investigation about the place but no one spoke and he seemed to be getting along with the little girl. Three days prior: "She seems to have taken a liking to him. That's good. I've never seen her this excited, though it's hard to tell since I can't get a read on her… Well they both have that in common." She smiled whispering to herself when she saw the little girl sitting across the table from Nate. She stayed in human form throughout to move. With that also came with the surprising looks of those who hadn't seen her in that form or have missed seeing her like that. "My, my little missy. How 'bout me and you get a dr

Nate… Time and time again I made my way through the harshest of storms but that one felt different, like I was being battered. Each grain of sand that flew at me felt like daggers trying to cut me down, even though I felt no pain… Then suddenly… ping… I hit an invisible wall. A barrier? A magic barrier. I tried to push through but the barrier was strong for me to break through. I reached up with a finger and touched the wall, over the sounds harsh winds I heard a ripple. Instantly my eyes adjusted and I could see the dome-like transparent barrier over the ruin. It was a swelling shade of light. It looked like someone wanted to keep me in. But by doing so they risked the life of the people if I go on another rampage. They're trapped in here, with me. It's got demon written all over it, even the smell… What if it was actually a one way ticket? It sure would explain some things… The barrier definitely wasn't meant for me, but is a means to have me stuck in here. Once you enter yo

Chapter 4 COURSE, ACTION - PART 2
"Where you going little girl?" The little girl halted. Slowly she turned. Before her stood the party of three—the ones Nate had stopped earlier from having their way with her. "It's payback for what your little hunter friend did to us… Lucky for you there's no one here to stop us." He snickered with a gesture pounding his right fist into his left palm and the other two chuckled. I pass through another alley—a few feet away I hear a familiar heartbeat—three's familiar scents. It must be really close if I can smell them even from the demonic stench around this place. "That heartbeat…" As for the familiar heartbeat it seems even if it's a little far I could hear it. Stop to listen. That one heartbeat is spiked, like it was in a frenzy. I turn and dash as fast as my feet could go, well not that fast though just a bit faster than a normal person, through the crevices in the walls hardly any dust following in my wake. A bulk person comes into view through the last crevice, the Cyclop
