CHAPTER ELEVEN.
In the dead of the night, a silhouette stole out of the room and made his way slowly towards Gerald’s study. The whole house was still illuminated and quiet which made it easy for Alex to find his way around the house. After using Clarrisa laptop for a while, he decided to walk around and see if he could find something that would help him with his case.Under the cover of darkness, slowly but steadily he made his way to the Study and when he got there he found it surprisingly open and the light was still on. It seemed someone was inside. Pushing the door open, he entered to see Dylan typing away on the laptop and he looked so serious but the moment he saw Alex enter, Dylan focused his whole attention on him.“Brother in law” he called out as his lips curved into a smile, “I thought you would be sleeping by now”“Why are you still awake by this time?” Alex used the opportunity to look around the study and nodded in approval, it was screaming Gerald all over.“I just have some pending

“Good morning sir” Bruno greeted as Alex sauntered into the office, “i have been trying to get a hold of you but you were not answering your phone sir” he added and Alex stopped right in his tracks before narrowing his eyes.“What happened?”“The Italians are here”Now this made Alex more confused, “why?”Bruno sighed, his boss really forgot everything about himself and work?“We were supposed to have a meeting with them last month but you pushed the meeting to this month so they are here”Alex sighed, he wasn’t aware of this and he already told Bianca to meet him in the office.Just as he wanted to say something, the door pushed open and Binca entered. She had a smile gracing her face.“What is going on here? Clarrisa couldn’t help but scoff, this man was as sly as a fox. How did he even know that was what she was thinking about? A look of embarrassment flashed across her face and she stood up from the sofa before walking towards his huge glass table.Alex was already engrossed in his work but had to lift his head when he saw her advancing towards his table.“I was not thinking about sex okay?” Clarrisa defended and a smirk appeared on his face.“Sure you weren’t” Alex concurred and turned his attention back to his work.Clarrisa rolled her eyes before stretching out her hand to grab the bag she came with. Everything was Bianca’s fault and she was going to sort it out with her later.“I brought you lunch” she finally announced, “you left without breakfast and I don’t want your gastrointestinal problems acting up”Alex sighed and dropped his tablet before leaning on his chair. He didn’t know much about the real Alexander chase but he knew he would also cringe at Clarissa's care for him.

It was already past seven in the evening when Alex’s maybach came to a halt in front of the gate and he gently alighted but before he could press on the doorbell, his phone buzzed and he rolled his eyes to the back of his head when he saw the caller ID.“Hello” his voice echoed when he pressed the phone against his ears.“Dinner is scheduled for eight, Alex” Clarrisa’s voice resonated in his ears, “I have already texted the address to you”“Okay” and without waiting for her response, he ended the call and proceeded to knock on the gate. After a while, a man came out and a look of recognition flashed across his face.“I am surprised that you still came here, Alexander”He gave a weird smile as his eyes flashed across the house which he knew as a child. The house in which he grew up as a kid with his sisters and Parents, the house in which another man was living in.“I just can’t help it, i really needed to talk to you”The man nodded and studied him for a while before beckoning him.A

“What nonsense are you sprouting now?” Gerald half yelled and the man in front of him burst into laughter.“Why are you getting agitated, father in law?” This time he picked up another clean glass before pouring himself some wine.“Clarrisa told me everything and I am just a bit surprised that Baxter would will everything to you”Gerald couldn’t believe his ears, “you think I stole the property?”“Did you?”This time the two of them were glaring at each other. Alex wanted to so badly inflict personal injury on Gerald but he couldn’t do that at this moment and it was making his blood boil.“I think you have something against me, Alex”“I just don’t forgive my enemies”Before Gerald could say anything again, Dylan walked up to them and he was glad to see his favorite person.“Brother in law” they shook hands, “I would have prepared a barbecue stand for the three of us if i knew you would still spend the night over”Alex chuckled a light, “I am having the best time with your father” he g

In the middle of the night, a figure stole out of his room and made his way to Gerald’s study. This was the only way he could get the kind of key that was used on that lock. The whole house was quiet and most of the lights were switched off but Alex could find his way around. After walking for a while, he came to the door and discovered it was locked which was less of an inconvenience for him because Bianca had already taught him how to unlock a door with a hair pin.Looking around for the umpteenth time, he pulled out a pin from his pocket and in less than a minute, the study door opened.“Good job” he muttered to himself while his lips curved into a small smirk. Alex held onto the handle gently and pushed the door open before entering. He slowly made his way towards the drawer and he was lucky enough to still see it there.Picking up his phone, Alex clicked several pictures of the lock and just as he was about to stand up, the door pushed open and a sihuoutte entered which made him
