An air of quiet fury descended in the room, and for those couple seconds, it seemed like nothing was going to happen. As Lucia looked from Ezekiele to her uncle, Jeremy, the two men only had eyes on each other, staring each other down.  While there was fury on Jeremy’s face, Ezekiele had on a simple smile. Anyone just arriving at the scene would never know that he’d slapped someone just moments ago.  “You bastard!” Jeremy, having had enough of nursing his bruised cheek and pride, made to rush an attack at Ezekiele. He was only able to move a few seconds before he stopped again with wide, shocked eyes. The covering of the dark night followed Ezekiele as he went out of the Rovings house to the location Giacomo asked to meet at. In ample time, he arrived at a diner at the outskirts of town.
