Jerry’s face turned red with anger. He clenched the flowers tighter, the petals already starting to fall. “Elsa,” he snapped, his voice sharper now, “don’t push me away like this. You think you’re too good for me, huh? Just because you’re working for Nova?” Elsa frowned deeply, her arms folding in front of her chest. “It’s not about Nova, Jerry. I just don’t like you. I’ve told you this many times. Please stop making things harder for both of us.” Her rejection hit him like a slap. His eyes burned, and he thought bitterly to himself: “She’s just an ordinary woman, no powerful family, no big name. And yet she dares to treat me like this?" Grinding his teeth, Jerry suddenly reached out, trying to grab her wrist. Elsa gasped and stumbled back, fear flashing in her eyes. “Jerry! What’s your problem? Don’t touch me!!” She yelled. Before his hand could touch her, Ethan calmly stepped forward. His tall figure blocked Jerry like a wall. Ethan’s gaze was steady, his voice flat but cold.

Bella had once been Elsa’s classmate in college. Back then, everyone admired Elsa for her beauty and intelligence, while Bella had nothing to show off except her rich family name. That small difference had always eaten her up inside, and the jealousy only grew with time. So when Bella spotted Elsa at Mixtone’s grand banquet, she almost laughed out loud. Elsa wasn’t walking in with some rich, powerful man—she had come with a guy who looked like he didn’t have two coins to rub together. Bella wasted no time mocking her. “Well, well, Elsa,” Bella sneered loudly so others could hear, “what are you doing here? Trying to sneak in and pretend to be a star?” Bella’s sharp eyes shifted from Elsa to the man standing calmly beside her, Ethan. She let out a short, mocking laugh and tilted her chin up. “And this is… who exactly?” Bella’s gaze swept Ethan from head to toe, dripping with disdain. “Don’t tell me this is your date, Elsa. God, look at him—he doesn’t even fit in here. Did you pull h

“Why are you making it hard for her, Bella?” Park drawled lazily, his eyes shamelessly trailing down Elsa’s figure. “A woman like this… she doesn’t need to sneak in to become a star. She only needs to pay… a small price.” The meaning behind his words was clear. Several people gasped softly. Elsa’s face turned pale, then flushed with anger. “Watch your mouth,” Ethan said again, his tone more cold this time. Bella’s smile faltered, fury flashing in her eyes as she looked at Park. But she quickly swallowed it down, her jaw tightening. She couldn’t scold him—not here, not in public. The Kasperg family relied on the Bellano family’s protection. If she embarrassed Park, the consequences would fall on her family. So instead, she turned her burning glare back to Elsa, looking at her with jealousy, as though it was all her fault. “Take them out,” Bella ordered the guards harshly. The security guards moved closer, ready to escort Elsa and Ethan out. People around began whispering, cu

Ethan and Elsa entered the banquet hall. The atmosphere had just begun to settle after the shocking announcement of Elsa’s identity, but whispers still followed her every step. Heads turned, conversations hushed, and eyes lingered on her. They were about to look for Kate when another commotion broke out near the wine table. An arrogant woman was berating a young girl, no more than twenty, her piercing voice cutting through the soft music.“Are you deaf? I said bring me another glass! Do you think I enjoy repeating myself to useless people like you?”The girl’s hands trembled as she clutched the tray. She tried to explain, her voice very low. “Miss Larson, the company’s boss instructed me not to let you drink too much tonight. It’s for your own health…”Gasps fluttered through the small crowd nearby.Elsa’s steps faltered. Ethan glanced at her, his jaw tightening. The arrogant woman sneered, her heavily jeweled fingers curling around her half-empty glass. “Did you just lecture me? You’

Park stood proudly at Kate’s side, acting as though she was royalty. Bella clung to him, her smile sweet but her eyes was full of mockery. Park’s gaze flicked toward Elsa, and his grin widened. “Miss Kate, you may not know this yet, but this woman here…” he gestured at Elsa, “…is pretending to be something she’s not. She came here tonight with ulterior motives. I bet she’s trying to poach you for Nova Entertainment.” Gasps rippled through the crowd. Heads turned, whispers buzzed louder. Bella quickly added with a sly laugh, “Of course, Miss Kate. Look at her. She thought she could fool everyone with her little act, but we saw through it right away. She’s not worthy to stand before you.” Kate turned slowly, her sharp eyes landing on Elsa. Her lips curled in a cold smirk. “So, Nova Entertainment wants me, huh? They want me so badly they send someone like you? You didn’t even bother to show me the respect I deserve.” She let out a low, sarcastic laugh. “Pathetic. Do you really think

Elsa opened her mouth, ready to speak, ready to defend herself, ready to tell Kate exactly what she thought about her cruelty. But a light hand brushed against her arm. “Let’s go,” Ethan whispered, his voice calm. “We’ll handle this later. Right now, we need to get out of here.” Elsa’s fingers curled into fists at her sides, her chest rising and falling quickly. “But I—” she started, her voice trembling. “No,” Ethan cut her off softly but commanding. “Not here. Not now. Come on.” Elsa’s jaw tightened, but she obeyed, letting him guide her through the crowd. She glanced back once, just in time to see Park’s grin widen and Bella’s laugh. The assistant, still trembling, clung to Elsa’s other hand. Ethan whispered to her, “Stay close. You’re safe now.” The two of them threaded through the throng, and as they reached the exit, Elsa’s heart ached at the sight of the chaos they had left behind. Inside, Park and Bella’s laughter roared. They were laughing like hyenas. “Hahaha! Did you

Elsa and Haley both froze, their mouths slightly open. The idea of becoming a star… it had never crossed their minds that it could happen… especially like this, so suddenly. “B-but… that… that would cost a lot, wouldn’t it?” Elsa stammered, her brow furrowing. She glanced at Haley, who had initially been bouncing on the balls of her feet in excitement, only now to go completely silent. The thrill seemed to drain from her, replaced by a hesitant uncertainty. Ethan’s lips curled into that calm and teasing smile. “Money? That’s never been a problem,” he said smoothly. “I have more money than I could ever spend in this lifetime. What I want… is to make sure that those who cross me pay the price they deserve. Talent… that’s priceless to me.” Haley blinked, her eyes wide as she looked from Ethan to Elsa. Her voice barely came out. “Y-you… you mean it? I–I could… actually become a star?” “Yes,” Ethan said simply, nodding once. “And I don’t just mean anyone. I mean the kind of star that

Elsa blinked, slightly stunned. Haley’s hands shook, and a small laugh escaped her lips, half disbelief, half excitement. “T-two weeks?” she whispered. Natalie nodded, her eyes scanning Haley as though measuring her potential. “I don’t waste time. If you want to be a star, you have to move fast. No excuses. No waiting around. Talent like yours… it doesn’t wait.” Ethan’s gaze softened just a little as he looked at Haley. “I told you, Haley. You have the chance. Don’t let it slip.” Haley’s chest rose and fell quickly. Her mind was spinning, heart beating super fast. She wanted to speak, but words failed her. Instead, she just nodded, feeling the weight of the moment—and the thrill of the challenge. Elsa leaned closer to Ethan, her voice barely above a whisper. “Kate… she’s more of a film actress, you know? Singing… it’s not really her main thing.” Haley blinked, slightly confused. “So… that means… I actually have a chance to beat her?” Ethan’s smile curved. “Starting with singing

Bella’s eyes sparkled as she leaned closer to Kate, her voice almost reverent. “Kate… you look… absolutely stunning tonight. Seriously, it’s like you were born to shine in front of everyone.” She twirled a strand of her hair nervously.Kate smiled politely, clearly used to this kind of attention. “And that dress… it’s perfect on you. I mean, I could never pull that off. You make it look effortless.”Park’s gaze was calculating, but the praise in his tone was deliberate. “Honestly, Kate… your presence alone changes the whole room. People notice you the moment you walk in. I’ve never seen anything like it.”Bella nodded eagerly, practically bouncing on her toes. “Yes! And the way you handled that press earlier… wow. So graceful, so composed. I can barely keep my cool when a camera points at me, but you… it’s like it doesn’t even faze you.”Park added, his voice low but smooth, “Everyone in this city should take notes. Talent, poise, influence… you’ve got it all. It’s… remarkable.”Kate’

Park’s jaw tightened, his expression darkening slightly. He muttered, “That… that can’t be good.” Kate, meanwhile, was still breathing heavily, her hands trembling with rage as she stomped her foot. The shattered phone lay on the floor. Bella exchanged a quick worried and shocked glance with Park. Kate’s chest heaved, her nails digging into the arm of her chair. Her perfect smile was gone, replaced with a tight snarl. “Bella!” she snapped, her voice sharp. “Find out who dared to put that… that little nobody next to Natalie. I don’t care if you have to crawl through the dirt. Do it!” Bella jumped at the sound of her name. Her heart pounded so fast it felt like it might burst. “Y-yes, Kate,” she stammered, nodding quickly. “I’ll—I’ll look into it right away. Maybe it’s just… a misunderstanding?” “A misunderstanding?” Kate hissed, leaning forward. Her eyes burned. “Do you think Natalie White just accidentally hugs some girl and calls her a future star? No. Someone is moving behind
