Chapter 101
The next day, Samuel woke up early and freshened up. He had decided to stay in the Istanbul clan for a day or maybe more. He had two main reasons.Firstly, the main reason he came to Nork was to buy weapons, secure materials for making his own sword and armor, and gather the remaining ingredients needed to lay an array over the lake back at his house.Secondly, it was because of Azarath. The two had parted ways after Samuel saved the captives from the Urgaba cult members. Azarath had asked to visit his parents’ grave one last time before following him.Samuel saw no reason to refuse, so he allowed it, but Azarath was not to take more than four days before arriving in Nork. After buying everything necessary, Samuel would have to wait for him. Since Nork city had a network, he could simply call Azarath upon arrival. They had already exchanged contacts. He wanted to go out alone, not wanting to disturb Nina, who was probably still sleeping. He prepared himself and stepped out leisurely.

"Bro, isn’t that the same babe you’ve been toasting for months now? The one who keeps rejecting you? Looks like she’s found herself a lover," one of his friends mocked, laughing."How dare her! Doesn’t she know who I am? She had the grace of being pursued by me, yet she has the audacity to reject me and even follow another man?" Derrick growled, his teeth clenched in anger."Chill, bro," the bald-headed guy beside him added. "Forget that your father’s the mayor of the city. He’s only on the same level as that girl’s father, fifth level of the Core Formation Realm.""That was in the past," Derrick snapped. "Right now, he’s poisoned and might not even survive. My uncle’s in charge now, and he already promised her to me, so she’s my fiancée.""Not officially," the bald head muttered."The fuck? Are you against me or with me?" Derrick barked, his voice rising."I’m always with you, Derrick. But we need to think logically," the bald head replied calmly."Logically? My woman is hanging out

He immediately dashed towards Samuel, closing the distance in a blink, and threw a lightning-fast punch aimed at his face. Samuel sidestepped with effortless grace, the fist whistling harmlessly past his ear.Second level of the Core Formation Realm? That's nothing to me, Samuel thought. He didn't hesitate, driving a powerful kick into the man's torso. The impact sent the elderly man flying backward to crash onto a nearby table, which splintered under the force.Everyone was stunned by the smoothness and brutality of the counterattack, including Ivana. She was deeply impressed by the fluid movement and felt a great sense of security watching him.The elderly man shoved himself up from the wreckage, dusting splinters from his body. His eyes narrowed into venomous slits as he gathered qi, causing the air around his fists to shimmer. He lunged again, immediately performing a fist technique and sending his fist crashing toward Samuel with renewed fury."Heaven-Sundering Seven Fists, first

"It seems you don't understand how rare spirit weapons are," Ivana laughed.Samuel could only nod. He had thought he would be able to see lots of spirit weapons once he came to the Demonic Beast Continent. It seemed he had thought too much. They walked deeper into the shop until they finally met the blacksmith, a huge man with a thick moustache."A spirit grade sword, you say? I'm sorry, son, but we just sold all our spiritual-grade weapons. The beasts in the West are growing restless nowadays; the demand for weapons is high, and given the rarity of spirit grade weapons, it's in even higher demand," the blacksmith explained to them."Are you sure you don't have even one? Can't you make one now? I will pay you generously," Samuel said."Make one now?" the blacksmith laughed, thinking Samuel was crazy to suggest such a thing. "Son, it's a spirit grade sword we are talking about, not a mortal grade. It takes more than a week to make one, and that's only after a full week of meditation an

"What is it, Master?" Nina asked.Samuel hurried outside, with Nina following closely behind. There, a raging man barged into the Istanbul Clan compound, trailed by soldiers in uniform."Where’s that bastard who dared to touch my son?" the man shouted. He wore a green robe, his hair a fiery red. Samuel thought he looked like an older, angrier version of the young man they’d met earlier at the plaza.Without a doubt, they were related—most likely father and son. Trouble was brewing."Hello, City Mayor. To what do we owe this visit?" A slim man appeared. He was the third brother of the household, Ferguson, who had just returned after hearing that his elder brother had been fully healed. He had been rejoicing when he suddenly heard a disturbance and decided to check on things in his brother's place."Ferguson, you’re back! I thought you were out of the city," the mayor said, surprised. Ferguson was certainly someone to be cautious around. Though he hadn’t reached the fifth level of Core

"You bastard! You forced my hand!" Maul growled, poised to unleash a secret technique."Who dares to make trouble in my clan?" A loud, authoritative voice boomed across the hall. Immediately, everyone ceased their actions, including Samuel and City Mayor Maul.A huge, burly man entered from a long corridor. The aura he radiated was overwhelming! Fear was written clearly on Maul's face."The sixth level of the Core Formation stage!" he thought, aghast. "When did that happen? But that's not even the main issue—wasn't he supposed to be in a coma, half-dead?"Questions flooded his mind."M-Max… Maxwell," he stuttered. "You're still alive? And you even had a breakthrough?"Maxwell completely ignored his question and repeated, his voice thundering, "I said, who is causing problems in my household?"He loomed closer."Maul, what are you doing in my house?" he asked pointedly."I... This young man here attacked and wounded my son for no reason. I only came to punish him, but he resisted, and

Spirit fire apes, frost wolves, and all types of spirit beasts were locked in the cages. There was also a flying beast, but it could only carry one person and there was only one of them.Maxwell led him to a section that housed two spirit beasts that resembled horses, except they had two horns and their legs looked far more powerful."These are called Vorgars. They might look like horses, but they are a different breed entirely. These two have reached the fifth level of the spirit beast realm—powerful creatures, I must say. They can carry two people at once and travel a great distance. If you like them, I will give you both for your journey," Maxwell explained."These are really good; I will take them," Samuel said."A great decision. They are well-trained, so you shouldn't have any problem handling them," Maxwell said, signaling his servants to unlock the cage. The two beasts walked out calmly. Samuel approached the first one and touched its mane. The Vorgar roared, a sound that was

Samuel rose from the ground, a cold smile playing on his lips. A huge slash marred his chest, but the wound was already healing at a visible pace. This was the ability he had received from cultivating the Primordial Devouring Art to the Core Formation stage: Regeneration. It was a profoundly powerful ability; most wounds could be regenerated so long as they weren't instantly fatal. He retrieved an energy pill and swallowed it, feeling its vitality begin to replenish his depleted reserves."So the city Mayor has a secret alliance with the Urgaba cult? How is it you guys are everywhere?" he scoffed."You think I'm Urgaba just because of this black robe?" the man laughed."No," Samuel smiled mysteriously."Hmm, it seems I'm still underestimating you, kid. Join Urgaba, and I will spare you. I will even ensure you obtain a high position.""Let me guess," he smirked. "A page head? Or a chapter leader?""You... how did you know this?" The man was visibly shocked."A secret I won't share with
Chapter 109
Four days later.A man could be seen riding a wolf-like beast, racing through the forest. Behind him was a Vorda—a massive, horse-like creature with two sharp horns and powerful legs—carrying two riders.“There’s a mountain up ahead. Let’s see if there are any caves at its base so we can rest there,” Samuel announced. The group rode toward the mountain. As they neared it, the sounds of battle reached their ears. They urged their mounts forward to get a clearer view.“You think you’re smart, Ouyang? You dared to steal from me?” barked a dark-haired man with thick eyebrows. He wore black armor and carried himself like a seasoned warrior.“The egg isn’t yours, Jason! I found it in the secret cave at the Bahamas Mountain,” Ouyang shot back. He had short hair and wore simple, slightly tattered clothes.“So what if you found it first?” Jason snarled. “We both went up the mountain and discovered that cave together! I was the one who invited you, so I should have had the first pick.”“Hypocri

He cut his hand and began drawing runes atop the egg. This time, heeding the old man’s warning, he severed a portion of his spiritual consciousness and infused it into the center of the rune. The rune shimmered, and the egg started to tremble as though it was about to reject the binding. He immediately circulated the Primordial Devouring Art and formed Aether Qi, instinctively channeling it into the egg.The rejection ceased instantly. The egg greedily absorbed the Aether Qi while the rune glowed brighter, slowly merging with whatever was inside. A moment later, he felt a faint connection forming. Satisfied, he stopped feeding it energy. Then, a strange sensation touched his mind — the creature within communicated with him through their new bond.“I’m hungry. Feed me.”“Huh? Hungry? But you’re still in an egg. How do I even feed you?” he asked, confused. The egg trembled again, and this time, he sensed jumbled emotions and images. Yet, one word stood out clearly in his mind — energy.
