Samuel stood before a huge temple door, studying it with quiet curiosity. Bone motifs and carvings of beautiful naked women twisted across the massive frame.“The map indicated that we need to cross this temple before we can continue on our journey,” he said, bringing the parchment closer to his face.Kael swallowed. “I don’t think this is a good idea. I think this is the famous Temple of Souls.”“Really? Temple of Souls? Very nice name for a temple.” He nodded thoughtfully.“Temple of Souls is a very nice name!?” Kael stared at him as if he had misheard.“Yes. The name means there might be lots of souls inside.” Samuel shrugged.“Exactly! There might be lots of vengeful souls ready to take revenge. We might not be the ones who killed them, but they don’t know that,” Kael pointed out.Samuel paused for a moment. “Did I forget to tell you that my soul cultivation has stalled for a long time?” he said suddenly.“Eh? What’s that?” Kael asked, confused.“Never mind. Come. We have lots of

Heng Mei, Carson, Bruce, and Dmitry walked aimlessly. It was a good thing they had found each other, but they still couldn’t find the girls, and the worry weighed on them.Suddenly, the ground began to tremble.“What was that?” Bruce murmured.“I don’t know. Some kind of earthquake.” Dmitry shrugged.Heng Mei narrowed his eyes, staring into the distance.“I think it’s the girls… they’re running toward us. But there’s a problem.”“What problem?” Dmitry and Bruce asked at the same time. They looked ahead and understood instantly.A large crowd was chasing the girls in a desperate frenzy, and behind that crowd surged an even larger horde of monkey-like creatures, screeching and bounding forward with terrifying speed. Heng Mei didn’t fully grasp what had happened, but his mind was already racing for a solution.“Remember the mountain cave we passed earlier? We’re heading back there,” he said.“Alright… sounds like a good plan.” They held their ground, waiting for the girls to close the di

The moment Samuel killed the Wraith Marshal, he devoured it entirely. A smooth, glowing orb began forming from its remnants, a soul orb.But Samuel didn’t even let it finish forming. He devoured it immediately. Then he unleashed the Abyssal Void Flame with himself at the center, a devouring storm that spread in all directions. The ghosts nearby shrieked as they were swallowed whole. He moved relentlessly from place to place, consuming everything in his path until the entire area was stripped clean.“That was mad,” Kael sighed as everything finally settled.Suddenly, the mist vanished, and they found themselves back in the room they had first stepped into. This time, a table stood before them, several items resting on it beneath white cloths.“Was that supposed to be a reward? I get it now. There are rewards for each room cleared. Go check what’s inside.” He turned to Kael.Kael stepped forward and pulled away one of the cloths.A bow and a single arrow lay beneath it.Samuel walked ov

A green monster crouched above them, watching coldly. Its head was grotesquely shaped, bulging with two massive lumps.Carson kicked Heng Mei.“What!?” Heng Mei snapped, glaring.Carson tilted his chin upward.Heng Mei followed his gaze and spotted the creature. It was staring intently at the girls lying on the grass beside the stream.A blazing hunger burned in its eyes. Then, without warning, it turned and locked onto both men at once. Just as quickly, it dismissed them, leaping from the tree and diving straight toward the girls.“Quick. I think we’ve got a pervert,” Heng Mei said as he shot to his feet, sword already in hand. Carson moved with him without hesitation.Bruce and Dmitry had already noticed the creature. Being closer to the girls, they stepped forward and cut it off.The monster glared, irritation flashing across its twisted face.“Back off, dude. What do you want?” Bruce growled, stepping in with an imposing presence. The creature’s expression warped with annoyance. T

That moment was their best chance to close in and kill it. Its attacks had turned sloppy and erratic, its mind clouded beyond reason. Dmitry and Sui Mo seized the opening, pressing in from both sides as their blades struck in rapid succession, carving into it again and again. The creature staggered. Its knees buckled, and a weak, broken growl slipped from its throat.Several swords plunged into its head at once.It breathed its last.“Shit! For a moment, I thought we were done for!” Dmitry dropped heavily to the ground, exhaustion crashing over him.Even Heng Mei and Carson abandoned all composure, collapsing where they stood, chests heaving.“Can somebody come here and help me?” Amelia called, struggling as she dragged the big guy out of the stream. That last kick had been brutal, nearly tearing him apart.Amber rushed over, her face pale. She was drained from casting so many spells, though her fatigue was more mental than physical. With Sui Mo joining in, the three girls hauled the

The leader sneered and lifted his sword higher.“And you girls, what are you going to use to compensate us?”Amelia’s eyes narrowed. “Compensate? For what exactly?”“For leading those monkey beasts towards us,” the man spat. “Three of my men almost died because of it.”Amber frowned. “We didn’t purposely lead anything toward you.”“Doesn’t matter. We saw you running earlier. Trouble follows you.”Bruce cracked his neck slowly. “You’re blaming little girls because you can’t handle a beast?”The man’s face darkened. “Looks like you want to die.”Seven weapons were drawn at once.Heng Mei sighed and lowered the map. “So talking won’t work.”Carson’s hand rested calmly on his sword. “Clearly not.”The leader suddenly rushed forward.“Take them!”Two men charged straight for the girls while the others split apart.Bruce stepped forward first. The ground shook under his stride as he raised his great sword.CLANG!The first attacker’s blade smashed against Bruce’s weapon and rebounded violen

“Might it be a coincidence? Yes, it might. But that doesn’t mean we should take chances. We need to be much more cautious,” Heng Mei insisted. After resting for ten minutes, they continued on their journey.“I wish Samuel was here,” Amelia grumbled midway. The rest ignored her and kept walking, but deep down, they all felt the same. If he were here, something like the green monster earlier would never have overpowered them so badly. Finally, they came to a halt before a river.“Well, it seems we’ve been cut off from our destination,” Bruce muttered.“Hmm, we’ll just find a way across. This isn’t the main river, and there’s land on the other side. Can’t you see it?” he added, pointing ahead.“Yes, I see it. But I assume we need a boat to get there. We can’t possibly fly over the water or swim all the way across,” Dmitry replied.“What’s behind us?” Heng Mei asked. They all turned, scanned the area, then looked back at him.“Obviously a forest,” Bruce said with a shrug.“Exactly. We’re

The three girls were fighting as a coordinated unit. Amelia held the front, Sui Mo controlled the flank, and Amber stayed behind, supporting with precise bursts of mana. She fired bolts in rapid succession, switching to fire spells whenever the pressure surged, her timing sharp and reactive. The leopard men were being cut down quickly, but their numbers barely seemed to thin. Bodies fell, yet more kept pouring in. Fatigue crept in. Amelia, Sui Mo, and the others were draining their qi at an alarming rate. Amber and Carson’s mana reserves were running low. Even after killing dozens, the battlefield still swarmed with enemies.Heng Mei observed the flow of the fight, his eyes narrowing as a thought formed. He called out to Carson.“What’s it?” Carson said coldly as he carved his way over, his movements efficient and brutal.“You see how their leader is hiding?” Heng Mei said, keeping his voice low but firm. “He’s the key to ending this faster.”Carson followed his gaze, then nodded. “I

A merman wielding a trident was his enemy, clearly stronger due to his higher level. The big guy attacked savagely as usual, his blows heavy and direct, but the merman was ready. He sidestepped with fluid precision, letting the attack pass cleanly before countering instantly.Blue energy gathered at the tip of his trident, compressing into a sharp glow before he thrust forward at high speed. It was a good thing he had no intention of killing Bruce, or he would have been dead by now. The big guy tried to erect a qi barrier, forcing energy outward in defense, but he wasn’t given enough time. Another merman joined the assault, their attacks overlapping seamlessly. One struck high while the other swept low, breaking his guard and driving him to the ground. The same thing was happening to the others.Heng Mei fought bravely. He was forced to use every technique and skill he had learned over the years, yet he could barely keep up for long. His sword moved in tight arcs, deflecting and redir

"Yes, but you must not have been informed about this year’s development. The treasure grounds dimension gate suddenly turned into the inheritance ground dimension gate. It happened on the same day the inheritance gate opened," Carson explained."Strange occurrence. The dimension gates in the Divine Beast Continent are still intact. I believe you because you carry part of the consciousness of someone I seek, so I assume you might be related," she said at last, her gaze steady.Everyone turned to Carson, eyes narrowing with curiosity, wondering who she meant."I feel the same about you. It’s like the two of you are one, yet not the same," he replied. Her eyes lit up instantly, a flicker of excitement breaking through her calm. "Then you must know who I’m talking about. Is he the same Samuel?" she asked, hope slipping into her voice."Yes." He nodded. She paused, lifting her hand to her lips as she bit her finger lightly, deep in thought.Meanwhile, Amelia felt a creeping sense of danger
