"Are we still following the direction they gave us?" Nina asked."Yes. I have a feeling they didn't lie about it," Samuel replied."I don't know... Not after they suddenly attacked us." Nina shrugged."Yes, you have a valid reason to be worried. But my instincts strongly believe it's the right direction. You know how accurate they can be sometimes."Nina nodded. "You're right."They continued walking in silence."I really hope we don't run into any more of those green-skinned humans anytime soon. They're incredibly strong, especially that Mathavios," Nina said."Yes," Samuel agreed."For someone without any energy, Mathavios is unbelievably powerful. If there are more towns like that one, it'll be disastrous if the others wander inside. Ozzai might be dead before we ever find him," Samuel said.Nina's brows furrowed."I don't want that to happen. He has to die by my hands!""He'll still die if they get to him first," Samuel said with a shrug."It's not the same! It won't be revenge if

"Yes." Ouyang nodded."Do you perhaps know anything about it?"The green-skinned man chewed thoughtfully on a piece of meat before nodding."I think I actually do. The place you're talking about is probably the Ruins of Alchemy. It's not far from here."Their eyes immediately lit up."You know the place? Can you give us directions?" they asked eagerly."Yeah. Follow the road on the left and keep going straight. Eventually, the path ends at a river. You'll have to cross it to reach the Ruins of Alchemy. The problem is, there's a barrier preventing anyone from getting close to the waters near the ruins. We can only view it from a distance or from a boat.""A barrier?" Tibeth frowned, his brows knitting together."At least we have a lead. We can worry about the barrier when we get there," Victor said."Thank you for the information, friends," Ouyang said. "We'll be on our way now."He rose to his feet, and the others followed."Wait. It's already getting late. Aren't you tired after figh

"Alright." Nina nodded. The two of them got to work immediately. Nina brought down tree after tree while Samuel shaped the logs into a raft with swift, practiced movements. Wood chips flew through the air as his hands moved with effortless precision. Before long, the rough pile of timber had transformed into a remarkably sturdy raft."That was fast." Nina clasped her hands together, unable to hide her amazement."Anything that involves creating is my niche," Samuel said proudly as he began engraving several runes into the surface of the raft."What are you doing?" she asked curiously, watching glowing lines spread beneath his fingertips."I'm creating a self-driving raft. After installing the runes, I just need to insert a few energy stones, and we'll be able to control it with our minds while relaxing," he replied."Woah. That's very cool. I didn't know we could get so much out of just an ordinary raft," she said, running her fingers over the intricate rune patterns."I can turn anyt

Victor could make out what looked like a city from the boat."I think we're getting close," he said excitedly.Tibeth got to his feet. He had been asleep when Victor spoke. The moment he spotted the city, his eyes lit up."Looks like some of the buildings are damaged, though. Hopefully there won't be any green-skinned creatures in there." He chuckled.Victor couldn't help but agree. The green-skinned men and the Gnoma. Ever since he became a third-level ancestor, he had never found himself in a situation where he was so utterly helpless against another being. For one, third-level ancestors rarely fought. They knew the consequences could be catastrophic if they did. Besides, losing would severely damage their reputation. To a certain extent, people like Victor lived sheltered lives. Only people like Tibeth, who had spent most of his life on battlefields, was accustomed to staring death in the face on a regular basis.Yet even Tibeth was deeply wary of the green-skinned creatures.Soon,

Samuel was really happy he had come here. They had found a great number of valuable herbs and other treasures, including precious stones that could be used for blacksmithing.Aside from occasionally fighting off Giant Head Lizards, they hadn't encountered many problems. At the moment, they were inside a massive temple, taking everything of value they could find."This place is incredible." Nina laughed as she opened a box. It was a storage artifact that preserved anything placed inside it. Samuel's eyes lit up the moment he recognized what it was."What can I say? They're practically handing me everything I need to build an army. At this rate, I won't hold back when it's time to deal with Urgabas." He chuckled."I still think you should focus on becoming stronger yourself," Nina said. "If your own strength reaches a high enough level, you'll be able to enforce your will. Fighting the Urgabas won't be nearly as difficult.""You're not wrong," Samuel admitted. Before long, they had fini
