All shattered Oaths
The glass and shockwave had cracked Manhattan as the rained down from Tower all as the crimson light now just spread all across the skyline. The car alarms all wailed, all the dogs seen howled, and the mortals now stumbled in the streets, just clutching to their ears though they all had no idea what they were even hearing. Those with the supernatural blood all knew. They all felt the tearing in their bones. As an oath was even older than the memory they had just been sundered.Marcus just knelt onto the cracked pavement, his chest just heaving. The amulet on his chest that once always glowed faintly had now pulsed even like a molten iron, just burning up against his skin. Each heartbeat that came with a gurge of power that wasn’t even fully his, like a tidal wave just trying to break all through the dam of his own flesh.“Freaking damn it,” he hissed, now gripping the chain. All his veins burned with some warfire, his own vision just flashing with some half-forgotten battlefields. He
The starlight weight!
The storm had not yet even passed, all outside the Sterling penthouse windows shone, New York’s skyline always glittered with such defiance, the skyscrapers all glowing like the steel and sentinels against all the night. But within all those glass walls, the air now felt heavier than any thundercloud shone.Marcus just stood there at the balcony, as always the divine amulet all pulsing so faintly against his mighty chest. Its glow all seeped through the mighty silk of his shiny shirt, like a heartbeat which was not his own. He could even feel it was whispering again, each of the flicker of light a fast reminder of so much power even older than the Moon great dynasty, older even than Olympus itself. And yet, he still resisted.Behind him, Aria’s voice was so broke the silence. “You’ve been out there for so many hours. That thing it’s still eating at you.” Marcus now turned, his eyes now shadowed, jaw all clenched. Aria then stood barefoot onto the marble floor, her hair all now fallin
When the Trail brings Blades
The entire arena was so suffocating; every surface of the huge chamber now seemed to have absorbed all the light, leaving only the harsh glow of all the runes that had been etched into the big stone. The Nine now sat on their thrones above, the eyes all gleaming like the predators in the big dark. No sound even dared to rise—not from the huge council, not from the huge audience of even the lesser heirs that were now crowding the shadows, and all waited for blood. At one entire end of the stone on the floor there stood Adrian Cross, with his hair all golden and catching the glow of the outer runes, the sword now gleaming with so many ancestral enchantments. He was every inch the heir of the dynasty, just polished, and ruthless, and unshakably confident. At the other end there stood the man everyone feared, Marcus. He had no blade in hand and no shield, just nothing. He came so empty, but all the divine amulets were at his chest, their glow just pulsing like a second heartbeat. It all s
Beneath the veil, there laid a voice
The chambers all went black, and not even the kind of darkness that was born from all the absence of the light—but it was something older, so much heavier, ajd goddamnalive. It all pressed against the skin, just filled the lungs like a smoke. The runes all carved into the arena, the floor now dimmed one by one, their glow so smothered all beneath the presence that had once entered the room.Marcus could now hear the sharp intake of the breath from all the dozens of watchers. Even the Nine, the beings who had seen all the centuries of battle and of blood, but now they looked uneasy.“Who dares to interfere with a sanctioned that is in trial?” one of them demanded. His voice trembling even despite his authority sh9WB from how he spoke. Now the cloaked figure at the far dais did not answer at least n9t immediately. Instead, they all lifted a hand, so pale, all gloved, and then marked with a symbol that just pulsed so faintly like that of a heartbeat. With that motion all alone, the prot
The trembles of light
The world was a little quieter now, the fires that had been raged across the plains below Helion’s ridge ans had dimmed to the glowing of the embers, the air was so thick with the scent of all the ash and rain. Marcus just stood at the cliff’s edge, his coat now torn, his sword all driven into the ground before him like a grave marker. The stormlight just above was painted to the horizon in its bruised purples and silver veins full of lightning.Behind him, Aria then knelt over the wounded and her palms all glowing with such soft, golden warmth. Each of the flicker of light that had left her hands just drew from her own strength, and Marcus, he could see the tremor in her fingers.“You should rest, Aria" he said quietly. Her gaze now lifted to him, all pale and very unwavering. “If I rest, the others will die.” Marcus turned away immediately. He hated all that logic—because it was just the same one that had kept him fighting for so long after his soul had begged so much for peace.Th
A mirror of storms
It was a heartbeat, the entire world had now held its breath, the lightening all slashed across the clouds, all the casting of both men just fleeting in thief great brilliance and there held two identical faces all separated by the great centuries of great since and of so much memory. The only difference just lay in their eyes: Marcus’s burned with hmthe human rage built, his double’s with all divine serenity as if the storm itself had now bowed to him.Aria stood there between all of them, just trembling. “Marcus… what is all of this?”He didn’t even answer. He just couldn’t. The name Marcellus was still echoing through his veins like it was a curse. The double now smiled so faintly. “You’ve been forgotten,” he said. “But I do remember just everything. The cities you have drowned. The gods you have all defied. The blood that you have that has crowned you.”Marcus’s grip then tightened on his sword. “You’re just not real.”“Oh, I’m real enough,” the figure replied, stepping closer.
Mermory price
The storm had not even stopped yet since the dawn. Lightning all clawed all across the skies and above the Sterling great Tower, its glass of walls all trembling under the weight of such an unseen power. Below, right in the big chamber that once had held the family’s ancestral archives, Marcus was stood there among the ruins and his reflection all fractured across the big shards of all the shattered mirrors.Aria’s voice now echoed but so faintly behind him. “You shouldn’t have even opened the seal.” Marcus didn’t bother to turn. His hand was just still glowing faintly, all the traces of the celestial light was now weaving through his own veins. “I didn’t even open it,” he said so quietly. “It opened just for me.”Aria then stepped even closer, her crimson cloak now whispering across the now marble floor. “That’s not very comforting, Marcus. You’ve just unleashed something that none of us can even control.”“I was never even meant to have a control on it,” he murmured. “I was not even
The first war shadows
The first thing Lucien has felt was pain, not the kind that even screamed it was the kind that hummed. A deep, yet resonant ache, echoing just through the bones of all the creation itself. He then stood in the center of a desolate cathedral, its arches all made of black stone, its walls just pulsing with the veins of faint crimson light. The altar all before him was just cracked, a relic from a world that was long forgotten. Behind him, all the shadows moved in like living creatures just whispering in tongues that had not been spoken in a millennia. He then opened his eyes. They were not even eyes, anymore they were just twin abysses, all swallowing the light, reflecting only the memory of the stars that had died while screaming. “So,” he then murmured, his voice a low thunder. “He definitely remembers.”The cathedral now trembled as though the building itself just feared the words. A figure had emerged from all the shadows there was a tall woman now wrapped in armor of bone and of
The edge of a silence
The entire city did not go to sleep at least not that night. There were so many sirens that blended into the wind, from the highest parts of the tower to the Moon estate area. All the skyline just kept two king with so much lightening that had no storm to have to call it its ownThere was a balance and that was of Marcus, he had fought so hard to hold just what was crumbling between the gods, the big corporations, and the beating of Mortals hearts beating so hard even though they did not have an idea of just what was coming.Standing before the glass in an observatory manner was Aria, her reflection held a trembling to it and it just kept up with the blue glow towards the wards. She could feel it and it was the Pulse of Void. Every time she had closed her eyes, it just called her name more like a lullaby all wrapped in chains. Marcus was standing behind her, just standing hut in silence, he had been that way for a long period of time probably hours. His armor was now rested against t
Erebus has a Queen!
The sky had gotten big split open and from all the shattered clouds, there was a silver lightening all laced with the black fire all burned across the heavens, each of yhsoe strikes echoing like that in a heartbeat of something that was so divine and very terrible. The big rift was now loomed above New York, and it was a living wound that had swirled into reality with just so many echoes of every forgotten god that was ever known and a cursed prayer. The tower of the M9on estate lay in so much ruins and its glass was just steel that was scattered like the bones of all the fallen titan.Marcus was there but he stood in the wreckage, his arms now half melted, his eyes all glowing but very faintlike with some sort of divine fire. He even looked nothing like a quiet businessman the world had thought he was. He was just a remnant of something that was of ancient value, a war god that was dragged but very unwilling into the memory. Somewhere beyond that rift...Aria was still alive. Her vo
