Chapter 81
Romeo looked back, with an easy smile on his face.“Just business, uncle. Like I said, he is a big investor. I wanted to say thanks in person.”He held the smile for three seconds. Then turned and walked out before anyone could see the lie crack.‘That was so close.’Romeo muttered as he walked towards the mansion's gate.‘I didn't succeed,my uncle didn't give me the valid information that I need, it will be all up to Alpha now, I hope she is done by now.’“Romeo!”“Romeo! Wait up.”Miss Valerie's voice came from behind.“Huh?”Romeo said as he turned and gazed at her as she approached.“Romeo, are you intending to leave without saying a good bye?”She asked as she folded her arms and gazed at Romeo with an angry and sad face.“Oh, I am really sorry for that, I get a lot going in my head right now, Miss Valerie, sorry.”Romeo apologies as he rubbed the back of his head.“So, did you get the info you wanted from your uncle, about sector z?”She asked.“Uhmm, not really, no.”Romeo resp

“What are you going to do to him, kill him?”Madam Tracey asked, her tone thick with curiosity as she stood and gazed at Alexandra, who then walked over to his key holder and grabbed his Lamborghini key.“Yeah, that is what I am actually going to do, I am going to see a friend of mine, who is really good at carrying out this type of work.”He responded as he walked towards the door, immediately,Miss Valerie tiptoed into the laundry room and quickly closed the door behind her with a slow and soft click.Alexander Tristan then walked out from his room and immediately dialled up a number on his phone, and put it right at his left ear as he walked down the stairs.“Hey, Hey J, where are you? Yeah, yeah I am coming over, time for you to pay me back the favour you owe me.”Alexander spoke, his tone thick with venom as he walked straight to the garage and then entered his red Lamborghini and drove out from the mansion premises.‘Mr Alexander is the one behind Romeo 's mum and baby sister's de

“My assistant, Clara, just called and told me that her spy that she sent to spy on sector E has been figured out and she is in danger.”Mrs Lilly spoke.“Huh? You have an assistant?”Romeo asked, his tone low and mixed with curiosity.“Ohh,Yeah, Miss Clara, mum how have she been, it's been a while since I saw her.”“Well, you are about to see her again, Veronica, I am sending you guys her location to go and help her out and rescue her spy.”Mrs Lilly spoke as she hung up the call.“Veronica, you seem to know this Clara,do you mind telling us a bit about her?”Romeo asked, his tone thick with curiosity.Chapter 83 (continued)Veronica folded her arms, smirking at Romeo’s question.“Clara? Yeah, she’s my mom’s ride-or-die from the military days. They were in the same special-ops unit, back when Mom still had that buzz-cut and a worse temper than me. Clara was the sniper, Mom was the demolition girl. They once blew up an entire bridge in enemy territory just to stop a convoy. Mom still b

The G-Wagon rolled to a silent stop two blocks from the old Crestview Hotel, a once-luxury, now-abandoned building on the edge of the capital that had been closed for years. Streetlights flickered. Weeds choked the cracked marble driveway. Every window was dark except for a faint glow on the third floor.Inside the car, the four of them huddled over the center console.Romeo pulled up the blueprints Alpha00 had sent.“The front entrance is the only one without motion sensors.” He said, pointing at the hologram. “Veronica and I take the main door. We go loud, draw attention. Clara, Stephen, you circle around back. There’s a service entrance here…” He tapped the screen “...no cameras, one guard max. You slip in, find the spy and get her out.”Stephen raised a hand, grinning like a kid. “Or… and hear me out… I go with Clara, and you two lovebirds take the back. I mean, Clara and I would make a way better stealth team. I’m smooth. She’s hot. We’d be unstoppable.”Veronica’s head snap

The back corridor of the Crestview Hotel was cold and dark. The only light came from a dying emergency bulb swinging overhead.Clara stood in the middle, her breathing hard and her pistol half-raised.Three men in black gis blocked her path. White half-masks. Red teardrop under the left eye.Underworld Dojo. The leader, tallest of the three, tilted his head slowly.“You’re trespassing, Agent Clara. Have you forgotten the code?”Clara’s voice came out low as she was shaking with anger and shock.“I thought the three of you were dead. Everyone said the Dojo burned that night. I carried the coffins myself. I saw the bodies.”The leader let out a soft and an empty chuckle.“You saw what we wanted you to see.”He stepped forward one slow step. The other two stayed perfectly still, like statues carved from shadow.“Five years ago.” He said, his voice calm and almost gentle. “The higher-ups decided the Dojo was getting too loud. Too many enemies. Too many questions. So we fixed it.”He shr

Senior D-1 pushed himself up from the cracked floor, mask half-broken, blood trickling from his lip. He stared at Romeo like he was seeing a ghost.“What?” He asked, voice low and rough. “You surprised to see me alive?”Romeo stood calm, arms loose at his sides.“No.” He said flatly. “I’m not.”Senior D-1’s eyes narrowed.“What?” He repeated, quieter this time like he couldn’t believe it.Romeo’s face stayed cold and unfazed.“In fact… I knew all along that you and your two goons were alive.”The two masked men behind D-1 shifted, senior D-1’s head snapped toward them.“Huh? How…?”Romeo cut in, his voice steady.“I overheard you. That night in the old mansion hideout. You were planning the fire, the fake bodies. I was in the ceiling crawl space. Heard every word.”One of the goons muttered, voice shaking.“I told you guys someone was in that mansion hole…”“Shut up!” The other goon hissed.Senior D-1’s eyes flashed with fury. He glared at both of them. They shrank back trembli

Meanwhile, back at the old Crestview Hotel.Red and blue police lights painted the whole building. Sirens wailed. Dozens of officers in black uniforms crowded the compound. Some held rifles. Others taped off the entrance. Police cars blocked every road. Dogs barked in the distance.Inside the back corridor, one young officer walked slowly, flashlight in one hand, gun in the other. The light swept over broken glass and blood on the floor. He turned the corner and stopped.“Commander!” He shouted, voice echoing. “There are people in this room!”From outside, heavy boots came closer.Commander Noir A stepped in slowly. His shoes made sharp clicks on the concrete. Tall, black coat, silver badge shining on his chest. His face was hard, eyes cold.He walked up to Senior D-1, who was crawling weakly toward a pillar. Blood dripped from his mouth. His mask was cracked. His two goons lay unconscious on the floor, faces swollen.Senior D-1 leaned against the pillar, breathing hard. He looked u

Miss Valerie stared at Romeo, her face pale.Romeo’s fists were clenched tight at his sides, waiting.Miss Valerie glanced quickly at Agent Clara. Clara gave a tiny shake of her head, almost invisible, but Valerie saw it.Valerie turned back to Romeo, forcing a soft smile.“What makes you think that, Romeo? Your uncle took you and your mother in after everything happened. He raised you like his own son. He gave you a home, food, clothes… everything. Why would you think he’s Sector Z?”Romeo looked down at the floor, his shoulders dropping.“I… I don’t know. I just… after everything tonight, I started thinking too much. The way he lied about knowing Sector Z… it felt wrong.”Valerie stepped closer, put a gentle hand on his arm.“Romeo, listen to me. Alexander loved your mother. He loved you. He was heartbroken when she died. He still keeps her picture in his office. Every year on her birthday, he locks himself in there alone. I’ve seen him cry.”Romeo’s eyes filled with tears. He rubbed

The G-Wagon rolled into the underground parking lot of CT Restaurant just as the first light of dawn touched the sky. The tires hummed softly on the smooth concrete. Stephen parked in their usual spot, close to the private elevator.Romeo stepped out first, hoodie up, face tired but sharp. Veronica followed, stretching her arms. Stephen came last, rubbing his neck, still complaining about his headache. They walked toward the kitchen passage. The back door opened before they reached it.A few early chefs looked up from chopping vegetables. Their knives stopped mid-air.“Young master Romeo…?” One whispered.Another maid dropped a tray of eggs. It clattered loudly.Everyone stared. Some bowed fast. Some just stood frozen.Romeo gave a small nod.“Morning.”He kept walking.Stephen stopped at the kitchen counter, eyes lighting up at the smell of fresh bread.“Hey, Chef! Can you make me something quick? Eggs, bacon, toast, extra crispy, some hash browns, and maybe a big coffee? Oh, and panc

The four thugs outside the warehouse didn’t see it coming.Romeo moved first, silent and fast. One step, then a sharp elbow to the throat of the nearest guy. The man dropped his cigarette, eyes bulging, hands clutching his neck as he fell to his knees gasping.Veronica was already on the second. She grabbed his arm mid-swing, twisted hard,CRACK. Bone snapped. The thug screamed. She followed with a knee to his gut, then a punch to the jaw that sent him crashing into a trash bin.The third thug pulled a knife.Big mistake.Romeo caught his wrist, twisted and the knife clattered to the ground. A quick headbutt, blood sprayed from the man’s nose. He staggered. Romeo finished with a hard kick to the chest. The thug flew back, slammed against the rolling door, slid down unconscious. The last one tried to run.Veronica was faster. She grabbed his hoodie, yanked him back, slammed him face-first into the brick wall. Once. Twice. He went limp. She dragged the first one up by the collar, his face
