Lucas reached for his phone, unlocked the device and opened the new official email account connected to Technica. He opened a new email and entered Jake Cole's name as the recipient. For a moment, Lucas looked at the empty message box.He knew that Jake was currently in a hospital, but he did not know exactly which hospital he was staying in. However, Lucas also knew that Jake did not need to know that.He wanted Jake to believe that Technica had already tracked him down.Lucas began typing:“Your time is running out, Jake Cole. We have finally located you, and we know that you are currently hiding in a hospital. You cannot continue running forever. Return everything you stole from Technica immediately, or our agents will track you down and make sure you answer for what you have done.”Lucas read the message once before smiling. He had deliberately written it in a way that would make Jake believe that Technica already knew exactly where he was.Although Lucas did not know the name of

Jake looked toward the hospital gate again, still worried that someone from Technica could appear at any moment. He then turned toward Maya.“We should leave this hospital immediately,” Jake said.Maya looked at him with surprise.“Leave the hospital immediately?” she asked.Jake nodded quickly.“Yes,” he replied. “I want us to leave now.”Maya sighed as she looked at the food she had just bought.“But I just got you food,” she explained. “I thought you were going to eat something first and rest for a while before we left. You have only just recovered, Jake.”Jake shook his head.“I can eat at home,” he said.Maya frowned.“You were the one who said you were hungry earlier.”“I know,” Jake replied. “But I do not want to stay here anymore. I am tired of this hospital, and I just want to go home.”Maya looked at him for a moment.“Are you sure?” she asked.“Yes,” Jake answered immediately. “We need to go to my house now. I will eat there and rest there.”Maya could see that Jake was un

When Jake and Maya finally walked into the house, Maya's mother immediately noticed how weak and exhausted Jake looked. His movements were slower than usual, and although he tried to maintain a normal expression, the tiredness on his face was obvious.Maya's mother quickly stood up from where she had been sitting and moved toward him. Maya's father followed closely behind her, and together they approached Jake as though they were afraid he might collapse."Jake, you look so tired," Maya's mother said worriedly as she reached for his arm. "Are you sure you should have left the hospital already?"Jake forced a small smile and allowed her to help him toward the sofa."I am fine, Mom," Jake assured her as he slowly lowered himself onto the sofa. "The doctors said my condition is stable now. They checked me several times before allowing me to leave," he lied.Maya's father pulled another chair closer and sat down opposite him. He studied Jake's face carefully before asking, "Are you st

Maya turned toward Jake and studied his face with a serious expression.“What exactly are you planning to do to Lucas?” Maya asked, her voice filled with concern. “I do not want you to confront him again only for the same thing to happen.”Jake looked at her quietly.Maya continued speaking as she gently placed one hand on his arm.“I am serious, Jake. I do not want another fight where you end up in the hospital. If you confront Lucas physically again and he manages to defeat you, it will only make things worse. I want Lucas to understand that you have greater power than him, not give him another opportunity to humiliate you.”Jake listened without interrupting. He could see the worry in her eyes, and he understood why she was asking. He slowly nodded.“You are right,” Jake said calmly. “I have already learned that lesson.”Maya watched him closely.Jake leaned back against the sofa and crossed his arms. His expression became thoughtful as he explained that he had approached the previ

After leaving the restaurant with Andrea, Lucas walked beside her toward the parking area. Lucas had enjoyed the evening more than he had expected, especially because it had given him the opportunity to relax after everything that had happened recently.Andrea walked beside him with a gentle smile on her face. As they approached the parking area, she suddenly looked at Lucas thoughtfully before speaking.“Lucas, have you ever thought about getting yourself a car?” Andrea asked, her voice carrying a mixture of curiosity and amusement. “Now that you are the CEO of Technica, you are going to be moving around much more often. I cannot imagine you continuing to depend on taxis every time you need to go somewhere.”Lucas stopped for a moment and looked at her.He slowly raised one hand to his chin and rubbed it thoughtfully as he considered her question. After a few seconds, he nodded.“Actually, I have been thinking about it,” Lucas admitted. “I just never considered it something I neede
