Chapter 11: Lost In The Wild
Alator sank inside the water. He carefully reached out his hand, and picked up the object and began to swimm towards the shore. When he got out of the water. Alator gave the object a look, and it turned out to be an exquisite silver blade spearhead. It had three pointed edges, with the one at the center a bit longer than the two on its either side. Alator stared at it for a while. Even though he didn't really know much about weapons. He has seen lots of spears, but what he was holding now was different from any other one he had ever seen. He wished he had a good iron ore to cast its shaft, at least that would have replaced the sword he lost during the fight. He sighed and shook his head. He just realized that even if he had the ore, he couldn't possibly cast the spear by himself; therefore, he needs to find a blacksmith to do the job. Just as Alator turned around, the spearhead began to vibrate with a strong energy and sparks of lightning sizzled around it. "Huh!" Alator stopped
chapter 12: Unexpected Danger
Alator felt his body heating up. Red smoke began to puff out of his ears as well. He had no idea what those powders were or what they were actually meant for. Within a few seconds, his whole body started turning red as a result of the intense heat brimming inside him.The heat wasn't just on his skin; it was burning deep inside his chest and stomach. It felt like fire was filling his veins, making his heart beat faster than usual. He gritted his teeth and tried to stand, but the pain in his ankle flared up, and sent him tumbling back on the ground. The smoke around his body grew thicker, dense and strange, almost feeling as if it was alive."Ugghhh!...what the hell did that son of a bitch put in these bottles?"Alator cursed at the man he had stolen the pouch from. He could feel his skin stretching, pulling tight over his body as the red glow grew brighter, and radiating heat into the canyon.Alator rolled and tumbled on the dirt from the intense pain. Coupled with the injuries on his
Chapter 13: A Staredown With The Beast.
Without thinking any further, as the black panther lunged forward, Alator jumped aside. The beast's claws swung past him, accompanied by a strong gust of air. It was close enough that he could actually feel the air rush through his clothes. The claws missed and slashed through a tree near him, leaving a deep mark on the trunk. Alator stared at the claw mark on the tree in horror; he was sure that if that hit had connected, it would have surely crushed his ribs. The panther skidded to a stop, its claws digging into the ground and sending dry leaves flying around. At the same time, it turned immediately to face him. The creature was faster than Alator had expected. Before he could stand properly, the panther pounced on him again. He rolled to the side, feeling the ground tremble as the panther landed on the exact position he was a second ago.He pulled out his dagger and swung it wildly. The blade scraped across the panther's shoulder, making it snarl in pain. The cut wasn't deep, but i
Chapter 14: White Bone Valley
"This is weird. I better not get myself into trouble again."With that, he quickly left the place. He took a different route and continued his journey.Alator didn’t know he had gone so deep into the wild that he had just reached the very end of the Wastelands’ border. The barrier he saw earlier was the very seal restricting the demonic beasts behind the rift and stopping them from entering human territory. The demonic beasts he had been seeing in the wild were the ones that had managed to escape from the seal.Alator traveled through the mountain areas without seeing any beast. He felt a bit relieved, at least a moment of peace for now.He climbed on top of a rock on high ground, looking into the distance. He was trying to see if there were any human inhabitants around where he could rest his body and get his injuries treated. But there was nothing like that around, only barren land and a valley below. He took a deep breath and turned around.Alator had noticed a few changes in his b
Chapter 15: The Girl And The Beast
Alator sighed, he really didn’t want to get involved with any of this again. Right now, he only wished to get out of this place, and his primary goal was to awaken his soul essence. Only then could he have what it takes to survive and defend himself in this brutal world. His days in the wild had really taught him a lot of lessons, It has reshaped his life and made him to understand the fate of the weak in the Wasteland. One thing Alator desired now was power, and he was ready and willing to tread on this path, no matter how dangerous it might be. But he had been stuck in the wild for so long now, and if he truly wanted to get out of here, then he needed help. Looking into the distance ahead, it seemed like one had finally appeared. Alator sighed again, with uncertain expression on his face."I think I should help her. Maybe she will know the way out of this place" he concluded, and took a step forward before breaking into a dash........In the distance, a girl was currently fighting
Chapter 16: Lovely Enemies
The girl was already having a hard time dealing with the beast when it's was still in its right senses, so you could imagine her face right now. At this point, she was certain that whoever attacked the beast earlier was no ally, but an enemy who just wanted to drive the beast into frenzy.Without wasting a second, she turned and fled. This time, the beetle was moving like a rampaging bulldozer, stomping and crushing everything in its path. Coincidentally, the girl was running straight toward the cave where Alator was hiding."Fine, I will help one last time" Alator said as he saw the girl approaching. The girl was already at her limit. She seems to be suffering from mana exhaustion and struggling just to keep running. The beast opened its mouth again, this time, the mana rushing toward it was insane. A blinding white light churned around the creature and it fired the dangerous energy straight at the girl.Alator’s eyes went wide. He was sure she wouldn’t be able to react in time befor
Chapter 17: Defeating The Beast
Alator brought his face closer to her neck. She felt his breath on her ears, a shiver ran down her spine and she suddenly froze."If you don't stop right now, we may really do that thing you are thinking," Alator whispered in her ears. Her eyes went wide and a deep pinkish hue appeared on her cheeks, and she began to struggle. The embarrassment alone was almost killing her.Alator chuckled, seeing her go crazy again. He was beginning to have fun, honestly. He has been in the wild for so long without anyone to talk to, and now it seemed like he had finally seen someone to take out his frustration on."Are you that eager to do it? I mean, I thought girls are usually shy. Fine, just exercise some patience, once we get out of here, I will consider granting you your wish," Alator said as his lips stretching into a crazy smile. This time, the girl began to struggle fiercely with all her strength. But Alator didn't stop, he continued to whisper more nonsense into her ears. Her face was burni

seeing the incoming blade. Alator immediately halted his steps and the blade of her rapier slice below his chin. Just one more step. The blade would have sliced his throat."That’s none of your business. And do you think I’m letting you off after what you did?" she said with a hint of anger in her voice."Fine, I’m sorry about that… okay? It wasn’t intentional," Alator apologized. He didn’t want to get into trouble now. Moreover, the girl was a mage, and Alator knew he stood no chance against her. It was better not to provoke her again. After Alator apologized, the girl seemed to have calmed down a bit. Her rapier vanished with a burst of milky aura, and she turned to continue walking ahead. Of course, Alator followed behind..................Darkness had begun to descend, and the two were still moving south. Demonic beastes growled and screeched all over the wild, accompanied by the furiously howling wind. Alator trembled slightly as a shiver ran down his spine - they continued to
Chapter 19: Immortal Temple (2)
"We accidentally bumped into a demonic beast" she continued. "A 3-star Vicious Beast. My brother was strong, but with his tier, facing a beast at that level was really too much. And with me there, I was only dragging him down, he had to protect both me and himself." Her voice suddenly went low as her fingers clenched tightly into a fists."So, to save you, he sent you away from the fight?" Alator raised an eyebrow. He could easily deduce what might have happened. Keylan nodded in response after hearing him."A compassionate brother, indeed" Alator murmured inwardly with a grin."He said if I didn’t see any signal from him before nightfall, that I should return home. But I can’t possibly leave him all alone out here" Keylan said, and lowered her head as her silver hair fell over her face."you don't have to worry, he is going to be fine." Alator quickly dropped the topic as he noticed the tears forming in her eyes. Honestly, he wasn't ready for any emotional drama right now."So, where
Chapter 20: Departure
Keylan quickly moved closer to him. "Hey… what’s wrong with you?" she asked, but got no response. She frowned, unsure if he was actually in pain or just messing with her again. She brought the back of her hand on his forehead. She felt a hot sensation on her skin, and quickly retracted her hand."This..." she stuttered. "He is really burning hot. What am I going to do now?" Keylan panicked. She quickly reached her hand into her pouch and brought out her water skin. She grabbed his clothes and raised it up, but suddenly stopped."I'm sorry" she said and quickly removed his shirt. Her eyes suddenly went wide in shock. Alator's body was riddled with scars, fresh wounds, knife stabs, and scratch marks. Some were old wounds, while others were still dripping blood."How... how did he manage to survive all this?" she said as her eyes began to water. Without hesitation, she tore the edge of her beautiful blue dress, poured some water on it, and began to clean his wounds. She brought out some
