Chapter 81
His eyes scanned the room sharply, but there was no one there.“How strange… whose voice was that just now? I really don’t understand. Could it have been Dwitoro?” Zaqqy wondered to himself. He lay back down and decided to get some rest after making sure his digital alarm would go off right on time. The young man slept soundly until a bright morning arrived. He woke up early, before the alarm had even gone off. Hurriedly, Zaqqy freshened up and changed his clothes. After making his bed, he immediately walked over to Stella’s room. He glanced at the watch on his wrist; it was already 07.45 WIB.“I hope the Young Lady hasn’t gone out yet. Goodness, I’m so nervous,” Zaqqy muttered to himself whilst waiting outside the door. After fifteen minutes had passed, the door to Stella’s room opened. Zaqqy smiled slightly, feeling relieved that it turned out he wasn’t late at all. Stella was still standing in the doorway, looking at him with a fresh, bright expression.“Good morning, Zaqqy.

He began to follow the route coordinates on his mobile screen. It didn’t take long before they arrived at the Ragado family residence, which looked magnificent yet exuded a distinct aura.Divo stepped out with his two aides, as did Stella, who alighted accompanied by Zaqqy. They were immediately greeted and invited inside by the household staff.“Mr Ragado is waiting for you on the third-floor balcony,” said a man approaching Divo and Stella. He then looked sternly at the bodyguards. “For this meeting, only the young master and young lady are permitted to enter. The bodyguards are not allowed to come upstairs. This is a strict rule in the Ragado family.”“All right, that’s fine. Come on, Bang,” said Stella as she walked briskly towards where Ragado was waiting.Meanwhile, Zaqqy and Divo’s two aides simply stood waiting in the designated area. Divo’s two aides looked arrogant; they chatted amongst themselves and occasionally glanced at Zaqqy with a condescending look. However, Zaqq

Zaqqy muttered to himself as he gazed intently at the second floor of Niko Sanjaya’s family home. Realising his gaze was too intense, Zaqqy immediately bowed respectfully when the host looked in his direction.Together with Divo, they promptly entered Niko Sanjaya’s house. Their arrival was greeted very warmly in the main hall. Zaqqy and Divo’s aides stood to attention directly behind their respective employers, maintaining a safe distance whilst remaining alert.“I’d like to show you a few things. Firstly, I apologise that we couldn’t meet at the office and had to ask you both to come here,” said Niko Sanjaya to Divo and Stella.“Of course, sir. We don’t mind at all,” replied Divo. Stella merely gave a small smile, following the flow of the conversation set by Divo.“Erik, fetch all those data files and the USB stick. Hand them over to them,” ordered Niko Sanjaya.A man named Erik hurried off to another room. Meanwhile, Zaqqy’s eyes began to dart from side to side, taking in ev

As soon as he realised Zaqqy had spotted him, the stranger immediately turned around and hurried away. Sensing that something was amiss, Zaqqy instinctively ran after him. However, after weaving through the crowd of shoppers, the figure vanished without a trace. Zaqqy stood in the middle of the shopping centre aisle, breathing slightly heavily but his eyes remained alert, scanning for any sign of the stalker.“I definitely saw him just now. That person was very fast, but why did he suddenly vanish?” Zaqqy muttered questioningly. He quickly stepped back and returned to the clothes shop, worried that Stella might be looking for him.Stella still seemed to be thoroughly enjoying herself. After choosing carefully, three luxurious dresses finally found their way into Zaqqy’s hands in the form of several paper bags. They continued to wander around other high-end shops, from shoe shops to the finest jewellery boutiques.“What about that necklace, Zaqqy? Do you think it’s nice?” asked Stell

Zaqqy immediately realised that the car in front of him belonged to Dwi Toro, the man who had cut him off in the middle of the road whilst he was escorting Stella. Not wanting to waste any time, the young man pressed the accelerator pedal to the floor. His car roared as it sped up, closing the gap so as not to lose track of his target.Meanwhile, the driver of Dwi Toro’s car was puzzled to see a vehicle persistently tailing him so aggressively. Sensing that something was amiss, he pulled his car over to the side of the road. Zaqqy, who was following behind, did the same; he pulled over and came to a halt. When Zaqqy got out of his car, he was taken aback by the figure who emerged from behind the wheel of the car in front. It was not Dwi Toro who emerged, but a very smartly dressed man in a blue suit and grey tie—the typical image of a tall, authoritative and successful businessman. The bespectacled man walked towards Zaqqy with remarkable composure.“Excuse me, why are you following

“The Wisanggenis? Aren’t they that mysterious family?” Stella frowned. “Yes. They live in Germany. Rumour has it their youngest daughter is coming to Indonesia soon. Before that happens, Papa has to visit them. You must catch her attention. If you can win her heart, the Syailendra family’s power will flourish even more. Do you understand?” “What do you mean by making me their pet, Papa? I don’t want to be under someone else’s control. I want my own power,” protested Stella. “It’s different, darling. The Wisanggeni family are very different. Their youngest daughter is no ordinary woman.” “What do you mean, Papa?” “I can’t explain much because it’s a secret. But once you’ve met her, you’ll understand who she is and just how powerful she is. You’ll see for yourself. Let’s wrap this conversation up. Don’t linger—it’s late. We’ll talk about it again another time.” After the discussion about the Wisanggeni family had ended, they remained seated together in the living room. Hardin

Lesmana immediately went into his younger brother’s private room. He saw the remnants of the ritual performed by Dwi Toro. With a deep sigh, he walked out onto the balcony and gazed up at the night sky. His eyes fell upon a cigarette butt at the edge of the balcony. He picked it up; there was still a little tobacco left in it. Lesmana lit it and took a deep drag.Instantly, Lesmana’s clairvoyant abilities kicked in. He tried to peer through time to see what his younger brother had been doing. However, Lesmana was startled.“Why did that flash of vision disappear right here in this room? What was he actually doing?” Lesmana wondered. “And that young man… why was he being targeted by Dwi Toro?”He stamped out the cigarette butt and returned to the room. Although the traces of the ritual had been cleaned away, the large mirror that usually stood there was now nothing but shards. Lesmana approached the broken glass and saw the splattered bloodstains. He scraped a little of the dried

“Get some rest. It’s no easy task to track down the master of the Brajamusti spell.” Dwi Toro fell silent for a moment before plucking up the courage to ask, “Sir, to be honest, I’d like to know… just how important is the master of the Brajamusti spell to us?” “Of course he’s important. It is said that the original master of the spell was a knight who vanished without a trace. He possessed the Three Mustika, the whereabouts of which remain unknown to this day. If my hunch is correct—that the young man’s spell originates from that knight—then we need him to obtain those Three Mustika,” explained the Chief at length. Dwi Toro was stunned. He lay silent on his bed as the Chief walked away, leaving him alone. “What sort of knight?” muttered Dwi Toro. He got up and stood in front of the one-and-a-half-metre-tall teak mirror. Dwi Toro looked at his reflection, clad only in his underpants. He saw a bluish bruise on his chest. “The blow from the Brajamusti spell… it could even leave

“We’re fine, son. Don’t worry too much about it. We’re well looked after here, too.”“Thank goodness for that. Zaqqy suddenly thought of Mum and Dad. How are things financially for the next few days?”“We’re fine financially, son. There’s enough for Mum and Dad. You don’t need to worry; Mum’s still doing the washing and ironing. Alhamdulillah, every time I come home I always get a side dish, sometimes two packets of rice—enough for the two of us,” his mum replied reassuringly.“Thank goodness. The main thing is that Mum and Dad are well. Zaqqy hopes Dad can hold out until payday, so that Zaqqy can take Dad to hospital for his operation.”“Yes, son. Let’s pray for the best; may Allah make things easier for us. Most importantly, you must stay healthy over there.”“Thank you, Mum. I hope everything goes smoothly. I’ll hang up now, Mum; it’s time to look after my employer.”“Yes, Zaqqy. Be careful at work, son. Look after your health, eat well, and don’t stay up late.”“Yes, Mum.

Stella was slightly taken aback by Angela’s news. She gave a faint smile whilst nodding slowly.“All right, I’ll check later to see whether the invitation has reached the Syailendra residence or not. Oh, and Mum and Dad are also leaving for Germany soon,” said Stella.“Are your parents planning to meet the Wisanggeni family because of the news of Nilam Harum Cempaka’s return?” asked Angela probingly.“Exactly, Angela. It seems your predictions are always spot on.”“That’s only to be expected, as my Mum and Dad are also going to visit them. I don’t know what’s actually going on, but they say the Wisanggeni family’s youngest daughter has been eagerly awaited for a very long time. Not just thirty years, apparently… hundreds of years,” whispered Angela seriously.“What do you mean?” Stella frowned, looking intently at her friend. Angela glanced hesitantly towards Zaqqy, who was standing not far from them. Realising her friend’s unease, Stella reassured her, “Don’t worry, he’s my ve
