THE START OF THE SCHOOL FIGHTING COMPETITION
The following day, the school buzz with lots of excitement. It was the first day of the school fight tournament. Many of the contestants were in the gym with lots of instructors. Zack's gaze darted back and forth staring at the body of students who looked like men who fought in MMA fighting competition. "You shouldn't have said yes to this." he said staring at Kyle. Scar laughed. "You think Kyle is going to make a mistake and kill one of them?" Zack looked at Scar and then back at Justin. "And you think Kyle can keep his coolness?" "Can you?" Justin asked. The gym echoed with the noise of kicks, jabs and fist thrown into the punching bag. Kelly on the other hand was on a wheel chair. Her gaze scanned the gym room for her enemy. Tara. Meanwhile, Adrian was on the other side of the gym. He was a bit relaxed and was throwing a few jabs at the punching bag in front of him while Klaus had an instructor barking orders into his ears. "Focus, Klaus! This is not
FIRST FIGHT
The smile on Tara's face only deepened. Then she slowly raised one finger and dragged it across her throat. Kelly's breathing became heavy. "You bitch..." The girls around Tara laughed. One of them leaned over and whispered something into Tara's ear. Tara burst into laughter. Kelly nearly launched herself out of the wheelchair. "Easy." A hand landed on her shoulder. Kelly turned and saw Zack standing beside her. "Not now." Kelly gritted her teeth. "She deserves worse than whatever I do to her." "I know." "No, you don't." Her voice cracked. The memory of that day flashed through her mind. The pain. The days she spent in the hospital bed.And Tara smiling while pretending to be innocent. Kelly's eyes burned with hatred."One day..." she whispered. "One day she's going to pay." Across the gym, Tara's smile slowly disappeared. For some reason, seeing Kelly look at her that way sent a chill down her spine. ******* Thirty minutes passed quickly. The gym stadium was now comple
A WELL DESERVED VICTORY
The whole arena froze the way Kyle threw his punches at Ethan. The big boy moved back immediately. He face was a bit battered but he was still capable of throwing a few punches at Kyle. "You need to give up. That is the only way you can leave the stage without getting hurt." Kyle said, his hands clenched tightly. Ethan grinned as blood flowed freely from his cuts. "Do you think I am scared of you? You don't deserve to be representing this school. Not when I am here. Show me what you got!" Scar looked at the way Kyle reacted to every taunt, to every word Ethan hurled at him. He was surprised to see Kyle taking every single one of them without getting overly angry. "He is doing well." he said underneath his breath. Justin heard him, "Do you think he is ready?" he asked Scar frowned. "This is nothing but a test for him, Justin. Kyle is going to face the strongest and the best fighters all over the globe. He needs to be better than this." Justin looked back at t
OLD LOVE
The school wouldn't stop buzzing about how Kyle knocked out Ethan during the fighting competition. "I told you he could do it." Justin said with a gentle look, his hand tucked into his pocket. Scar smiled, "You keep saying this to calm your nerves, Justin. Enjoy the moment. There are more tournaments to come." Scar walked away leaving the stage as Kyle's name was on everyone's lips. Zack caught Scar leaving the arena and immediately walked up to Justin. "Shouldn't we be celebrating?" he asked Justin looked towards the exit and laughed, "Scar had a weird way of celebrating. I think he is impressed with your friend." Kyle was soon off the fighting stage, his gaze scanned the entire seat but still he couldn't see Scar. He immediately walked towards Justin with a frown plastered on his face. "Where is he?" "Scar?" "Don't play dumb with me, Justin. Where is Scar? Did I do something wrong?" Kyle asked "No. Of course, not. Scar has his way of celebrating. Why don't
ADRIAN'S REAL IDENTITY CHALLENGED
Being the name on everyone's lips felt really good. For a fleeting moment, Kyle forgot he had to fight for his father's seat, his name and his legacy. He was more particular about building a name for himself. While Adrian tried to get rid of Frank, Kyle dedicated his time into trying to train and get better without using the wristband Scar gave to him. "Did you hear Ethan was bedridden after the match?" "Kyle had him off the school this time around." "Do you think Marcus and Adrian can take him?" Stephan walked into their midst and they immediately kept quiet. "Why don't you tell me who you think is going to win this competition?" he asked The three students looked at themselves. They all knew Kyle was Stephan's greatest enemy. Mentioning his name was going to be like digging their own graves. "Marcus." A student said with a shaky voice. Marcus was neutral. He was the only student who seems not to have any issue with Stephan. Stephan smiled, "Well, nice guess. But that name
DILEMMA BETWEEN CAMY AND ADRIAN
Adrian breathing became harder with each punch he threw at Stephan who seems to be taunting him. "Are you seriously going to make me find out who you really are?" Stephan said with a smirk. He moved back a bit and threw another punch at Adrian which he quickly countered. He launched a massive blow at Stephan and knocked him to the ground. "You need to stop getting me riled up. I paid you the money you asked for and I expect my job to be done." Adrian replied"No. You want me trapped!" Stephan said in anger. His voice echoed through the gym room."Do you know what you are asking of me?" Stephan asked. Blood trickled down the corner of his mouth as he walked closer to Adrian. "You are asking me to kill the most feared man in the city. What do you think he is going to do to my family when I go after him?" Adrian scoffed. "Since when do you fear people? You wanted Kyle's head all the same even though you knew what he was." Stephan looked at him closely again, "You know, Kyle is bo
FRANK, A HARD MAN TO KILL
Adrian’s jaw tightened. For a moment, the noise in the café seemed to fade, leaving only the sound of Camy pouring wine into a glass like she owned the entire building. The other customers were still staring.Adrian lowered his voice, sharp and controlled. “You enjoy provoking people, don’t you?”Camy sipped slowly, unbothered. “No. I enjoy revealing what people are really like. You, for example… you pretend you’re in control, but your hands are shaking.”“I’m not shaking,” Adrian snapped.Camy tilted her head, studying him over the rim of her glass. “Then stop acting like I insulted your lineage. Or did I hit a nerve?”Adrian leaned forward, his voice dropping into something colder. “You didn’t answer my question. Is Frank Howard dead or not?”For the first time, Camy didn’t respond immediately. She placed the glass down. That small pause made Adrian’s chest tighten.“…So?” he pressed. “Don’t tell me you failed.”Camy exhaled smoke slowly, letting it curl above her face like a veil.
HIDDEN ENEMIES
Adrian gulped hard as the first man got to his front. "Mr Adrian Howard?" he asked with a stern face. Camy sat still without flinching. She looked at the fist man and then the second. "You are talking to him. What do you want?" Adrian asked. "Your father is around and he wants to see you." the man said, his gaze fixed on Adrian. "And why didn't my father call to announce his presence?" Adrian snapped. "I don't need to answer that, Mr Adrian. He is your father like you said and I think you should know Mr Frank hates announcing his coming back into town." he replied, his hand tucked into his pocket. Camy smiled, "Gentle men. We are not here for a fight are we?"One of the men looked at Camy and then back at the brown envelope on the table. "And you are?" he askedCamy looked at his face, "I am not one. Just a friend of Mr Adrian." She slowly stood up and grabbed the envelope. "I think my work is done here, Mr Adrian. Please call me if you want to work with us in the near future.
ADRIAN'S TRAIL
Sweat drips down Adrian's forehead as he looks at the man holding the gun to his forehead. "Who sent you, huh? How much?" Adrian finally asked. "Loose the nissan car or we are fucked!" the man said again. The Lexus accelerated through the street while the nissan car chased right behind them. "And how much do you think your life is worth?" Adrian shook visibly. "Hundred, thousand or million. All you need to do is ask." he said with a shaky voice. The lexus drove into an alley and the engine went off. "Did we lose it?" The driver looked back. "I think we did." "Good. Let's go. We can't keep him waiting." the man said again. "Listen, I am going to give you whatever you want. Name it!" Adrian pleaded."Shut the fuck up!" the man said again.Adrian decided to play smart, he tried grabbing the gun but the man was faster. He hit Adrian with the gun and he fainted."Is he dead?" the driver asked. "No. But he is going to be a problem. We need him unconscious until we get to ou
TAKING IT BACK!
Meanwhile, Clark and the rest of Kyle's group were gathered in the main room. "Did you hear it already?" Clark asked. Kyle looked at him, "And what exactly are you talking about?"he asked "Someone put a tab on Frank Howard. Someone wants him dead." Clark said. The room went quiet. Zack looked at Kyle and then back at Clark. "Wait? You are saying someone wat him dead. I think the only person that wants Frank dead is Kyle." Clark laughed. "Do you know how many forces want Frank Howard out of the way? I think whoever tried to kill him should be ready for a long ride." "Why are you telling me this?" Kyle asked. "Because I want you to know that you can face your school life squarely. The junior wrestling competition is just in a few days time. I would handle it while you focus more on your life." Zack looked at Kyle while Kelly stared at him. Each of them wondering what he was going to say next. "Frank Howard had a hand in the death of my parents. His bastard s
