Alex stepped out of the modest clothing store carrying two shopping bags in one hand. A small smile rested on his face as he lowered his eyes to look at the bags. For the first time since arriving at the university that morning, he felt a sense of relief settling over him.The clothes he had just purchased were exactly what he had been searching for. They were simple, comfortable and most importantly, they were ordinary enough that nobody would give them a second glance."These are much better," Alex quietly murmured to himself as he adjusted his grip on the shopping bags. "Starting tomorrow, I can finally dress like a normal student again instead of attracting everyone's attention."As he continued walking, he reached into his trouser pocket and carefully slipped his bank card inside. He pushed it farther into the pocket with his fingers before gently patting the outside to make sure it was properly secured."I definitely don't want this falling out somewhere," he muttered quietly.

Every time Daniel remembered standing in front of the lecturer while the entire class watched him being punished, his fists tightened involuntarily. His jaw clenched, and his breathing became heavier. Just then, the lecture hall where he was fuming opened.Aaron stepped inside first, followed closely by Ezra, Chase, Ryan, and Eliot. The moment Daniel saw them, he immediately stood to his feet. His eyes moved from one face to another. "What took all of you so long?" he demanded impatiently."We wanted to make sure we came back with something worthwhile," Aaron said with a smile."Actually, we came back with something that should make you feel a whole lot better." Ryan grinned broadly.Daniel frowned. "What are you talking about?""Trust me." Chase laughed. "When you see what we found today, you'll completely forget everything that happened in class."Daniel's expression softened ever so slightly. "You actually found something?"Aaron nodded confidently. "We did. And not just one thing,

Alex remained seated on the couch with his phone still in his hand. The notification was still displayed on the screen. It had come from the school's platform.Curious, he tapped on it, and the page opened almost immediately. A bold announcement appeared at the top of the screen.NOTICE TO ALL STUDENTSThe election process for the Student Union President has officially commenced. The names of all approved candidates will be published on campus tomorrow morning. Students are encouraged to familiarize themselves with the list before the official campaign period begins. Further information regarding the election schedule will be announced in due course.Alex quietly read through the announcement from beginning to end. When he finished reading, he simply stared at the screen for a few moments. His expression remained completely indifferent."The student president election?" He slowly shook his head. "I don't really care about any of that."He had never been interested in student politics.

Alex remained standing in front of the notice board as though his feet had become firmly rooted to the ground. His eyes never left the list of candidates posted on the board. None of it made any sense."How is this even possible?" he murmured under his breath as confusion filled his face.Still unwilling to believe what he was seeing, Alex slowly began reading through the list again from the very beginning. But it was still there. Nothing had changed.Alex slowly shook his head in disbelief."This has to be some kind of mistake," he muttered quietly. "I never submitted any nomination form, and I've never signed up to contest the election. I've never even attended a single meeting related to student politics."He let out a slow, frustrated sigh. "In fact, until yesterday evening, I barely paid any attention to the election at all."The more he thought about it, the less sense it made. "There has to be an explanation for this."Around him, students continued discussing the list excitedl

Alex stared at the committee members in complete disbelief. For several long moments, he simply stood there without saying a single word. His mind struggled to process everything they had just told him. Finally, he slowly shook his head."I'm sorry," he said quietly, "but I don't understand."He looked from one committee member to another, hoping someone would give him an explanation that actually made sense."My name is on the list of candidates, and I don't want to contest the election. I'm standing here in person, asking all of you to remove my name."He slowly spread his hands in a helpless gesture. "So why can't you simply remove it?"The committee member sitting closest to him let out a quiet sigh before answering. "Mr. Hayes, if this had been an ordinary nomination, we could have handled your request immediately."The man folded his hands neatly on top of the desk before explaining. "The vast majority of students whose names appear on the list either nominated themselves or wer

For a few seconds, he remained standing with his back turned toward the speaker, silently hoping the encounter would somehow end before it even began.Unfortunately, it didn't.Alex slowly turned around, and just as he had expected, he saw Daniel walking confidently toward him with his friends following closely behind. From the smug expressions they wore, it was obvious that they had been looking forward to this encounter for quite some time.Daniel casually shoved both hands into his pockets as he approached, a smug grin spreading wider across his face with every step he took."What a coincidence," he said mockingly. "Fancy running into you here."Alex looked at Daniel calmly before briefly shifting his gaze toward the others standing behind him. Judging from the expressions on their faces, it was obvious that none of them had come over to have a friendly conversation. He let out another quiet sigh before speaking."Daniel," he said in a tired voice, "I'm really not in the mood for t

The students surrounding them immediately burst into another round of laughter."He's right.""Daniel has practically won the election already.""What chance does Alex even have against someone like him?"Alex remained completely still. Although his face showed almost no emotion, countless thoughts were colliding inside his mind.Only a few minutes earlier, he had walked out of the election committee office with only one goal in mind.He wanted to find Mr. Malcolm and convince him to withdraw the recommendation and have his name removed from the list of candidates. That was all he had wanted. But now...Daniel's words continued echoing repeatedly inside his mind."You don't belong anywhere near this election."He slowly tightened both of his hands into fists until his fingernails pressed firmly into his palms.A strange feeling gradually rose inside him. It was anger. Real anger.Something in his eyes had changed, and Daniel noticed it almost immediately. He frowned slightly before lo

Hundreds of pairs of eyes remained fixed on Alex as he stood quietly beside the serving counter with his tray still resting on it.Lily had just finished telling him, in front of nearly everyone present, that if he had even the slightest amount of common sense, he would withdraw from the Student Union presidential election before he humiliated himself. Her friends stood behind her with smug smiles on their faces, clearly expecting Alex to lower his head and quietly walk away.Several students thought the same thing. After all, Alex had always been known as the quiet student who rarely argued with anyone. Most people expected him to remain silent once again. However, instead of looking embarrassed, a faint, calm smile slowly appeared on Alex's face.Lily frowned slightly. She had expected many reactions from Alex: silence, embarrassment, and even frustration. But not a smile.Alex looked at her for a few moments before finally speaking."Lily..." His voice was calm and steady. "Can I a

Daniel and the other candidates stood near the side of the stage as the university's central auditorium buzzed with excitement. The spacious auditorium was packed from the front row to the very back. Every seat had been occupied long before the event was scheduled to begin, while hundreds of students who had arrived late remained standing along the walls and at the rear of the hall. The atmosphere was electric.Conversations echoed from every direction as students eagerly discussed the Student Union presidential election."I heard Daniel Foster is definitely going to win."The whispers continued spreading through the auditorium until a sharp sound echoed through the speakers.Almost immediately, the conversations died down.A man dressed in a navy-blue suit walked confidently onto the stage with a wireless microphone in his hand.He smiled warmly as he looked around the auditorium. "Good afternoon, everyone.""Good afternoon!" the students answered."My name is Professor Raymond Colli

Before Alex could respond, the entire auditorium fell into complete silence.Hundreds of students kept their eyes fixed on him, waiting to see how he would answer Daniel's challenge.Daniel stood only a few feet away from Alex with a smug smile spread across his face. His arms were folded confidently across his chest, and the look in his eyes suggested that he had already declared himself the winner. He slowly shook his head before raising the microphone to his lips once again."What happened, Alex?" he asked with a mocking smile. "Just a few moments ago, you looked so confident."He paused deliberately before adding, "Well? Go on. We're all waiting."Scattered laughter echoed across the auditorium.Daniel smiled even more proudly as he continued speaking, making no attempt to hide the satisfaction in his voice."I only asked you to name ten famous fashion designers and identify their latest collections. That isn't exactly an impossible question."He gave a casual shrug before looking
