"Huh?" Sarah blinked, not believing what Rowan knew."You knew?" She couldn't help but ask again as if she was trying to make a confrontation."Yes I did," Rowan nodded, sounding rather serious,"How?""It's written on your forehead," Rowan answered, sounding rather serious."Humph!" Sarah scoffed and turned away, her face going red from embarrassment. She had fallen into his trap again. She should have learnt her lesson the night before."What are you doing here?" Rowan asked, staring at the documents in Sarah's hands."What do you think I'm doing here?" Sarah fired back, a grin appearing at the corner of her mouth."To wash the toilet?""I'm not talking to you again," She rolled her eyes and moved away knowing well if she continued to engage this shameless man, she would be angered to death."If you're looking for a job, then why didn't you go to Zora's company?" Rowan asked, stopping Sarah km the tracks."So you knew I was here for an interview?" Sarah raised her brows, asking inst
Doom
"How much did they offer you?" Rowan asked, feeling rather interested wanting to see how much they would value his formula."One billion," Dominic answered,"And how much did we estimate to make once it's released to the public excluding our costs" Rowan couldn't help but ask, his brows narrowing as he thought of something."Five hundred Million," Dominic gave a clear answer once again,"And that's only just the first batch, we haven't estimated for the subsequent once after it," He added,"Those stingy capitalists," Rowan couldn't help but scoff. He had nearly gone bankrupt when he was researching the drug and when he needed funding urgently, no one agreed to borrow him. They all believed he was never going to succeed. Now that he actually did succeed, they wanted to buy off the Formula. To hell with them. Besides, they knew how valuable it was. Even selling that formula for ten million was still underestimating its worth. If one looked it, his company could easily enter into the int

Work In
(The Next Day) Rowan sprawled lazily on the sofa checking the time as he watched Zora work. He had translated all the documents the day before and thus had no work to do today which was why he was so free. Also, he was supposed to head to the company that morning to meet up with Dominic, but the latter had said something came up, so he needed to handle it first. After waiting for a while, Rowan was finally impatient, he wanted to see what was happening at the company that kept Dominic away for so long. "Wifey," He called out, standing from where he was sitting walking over to Zora. "What's wrong?" Zora inquired, her head still buried in the files she was working on. She has gotten the sales rights she wanted. She was still thinking of how to go about with the advert. Though Aurex Biopharmaceuticals would still make their knee adverts, she still needed to find a way to contract with hospitals to supply the drugs. There had been a list of it. But then, she needed to check for
Misjudge
"How dare you!" Alan burst out into a rage seeing this, his veins bulging out of his neck as he glared at Rowan. "Come on, calm down, don't yell like that," Rowan laughed, shaking his head, "Else, people would think you're an idiot." "You..." Alan gritted his teeth, pointing at Rowan, his face turning beet red. "Alright, enough of the shootings," Rowan's expression turned serious staring at the other shareholders. "I'm Rowan Ashford, son of Selena and Williams." "I'm sure most of you know my mother," He continued, his voice dropping low. "I didn't come here to interrupt your meeting or interfere in your company's issues," "For now, that's none of my business. But that's only for now." He chuckled relaxing back on the chair. "All I came here to say is that the missing ten percent, if by chance you're looking for who owns it, then it's with me." The moment Rowan said that, everyone froze. "That can't be true." Alan yelled, not believing his ears. "Your father owned fifty per
The Drugs
Rowan let out a deep breath the moment he walked out of the ward. He wanted to say something, but all of the words were stuck in his throat. A part of him had accepted the old man didn't leave anything for him. But hearing what the driver said, he didn't know how to feel. Gratitude, Relief, resentment, anger, Hatred? He just didn't know what to feel. That company was supposed to be his. It was rightfully his. But what happened? "Sir, I think we should take a proper look into it," Dominic spoke, his voice pulling out Rowan from his thoughts. "Schedule a meeting with my father's lawyer, I want to know what's happening," "Should I investigate him first?" Dominic suggested, knowing the kind of person Rowan was. "There's no need for that," Rowan refused, He sighed and then added, "Let's see if he's willing to tell the truth," "Else I don't mind destroying his career." "Yes sir," Dominic nodded and then took out Rowan's phone which was with him. "Boss, your phone has been ringin
Fifteen minutes
Stepping outside, Rowan and Dominic got into the car and headed to Bio Technologies. A lot was probably going to happen. Well, they would see once they got there. Fifteen minutes later, the car pulled up before the company. Alighting from the car, the two took in a deep breath before walking slowly into the company. The guards at the gate didn't dare to step them. That was Mr. Dominic, the assistant to the president of Aurex. Though the president was someone who had almost never appeared, they knew the strength of Aurex. Not only that, even the head of their company would have to show some respect to Dominic. Walking into the company, the two looked around not knowing where to start. Rowan closed his eyes as he remembered the past. The past when his mother started the company and his father later joined in leaving his work to manage it when his mother got sick. He knew every corner of the company. Every single place. "Let's go," Rowan came back to his senses, gl
Too Much
(A week later) Rowan sat on the sofa, munching an apple scrolling casually through his phone. It had been a week since the company secured the contract. Zora had been busy and she had refused to let him help in any way.. Besides, he figured out she had her style of doing things, so trying to forcibly find his way in wouldn't be too good. It was better to watch from the sides. If anything were to happen, he was going to take care of it. Just as Rowan thought like this, his phone suddenly buzzed, popping up with Dominic's name. Seeing this, he answered the car, "Sir," Dominic said, sounding rather carefree. "What's wrong?" "There's a lead on the matter you asked me to look into," Dominic answered, his voice turning serious. Instantly, the atmosphere around Rowan tightened and his voice turned cold, "Wait for me, I'll be there." Without waiting for Dominic's reply, he ended the call, placed the last piece of fruit into his mouth and looked at the empty office. Zora was not a
