CHAPTER TWENTY-ONEUnmoved by the threat of the guards, Elias stood his ground, still insisting on the reason why he was there.“Tell your Master that I am here to see him, boys.” He took a deep breath, holding onto the smirk that appeared on his face.“This doesn’t need to escalate.” He groaned, shaking his head in annoyance. “I still wonder why people are too stubborn. This should be a very easy something for you to do.”The guards could no longer be patient with the way he was speaking to them.“I see you are on a suicide mission.” The leader said, and turning to his cohorts, he signaled to them to attack Elias. That was the command they had been waiting for, and they wasted no time in marching aggressively to attack Elias. But their steps slowed when they realized that he didn’t flinch even with the weapons that he saw them holding onto.At that moment, silence lingered, accompanied by the tension that almost froze the air.“I will break your bones.” Elias threatened, hoping that

CHAPTER TWENTY-TWOKyron took a step backward, holding tightly to his staff, but it seemed like he needed more aid or he was going to collapse. The words he heard from Elias caused apprehension to erupt inside him, and as he shook under the influence of the threat, the guard still kneeling behind him was forced to wonder who Elias could be.“Could he really be the Supreme Ruler as he claims?” He whispered only to his hearing, his voice quivering as he stole a glance at Elias.Since the master he feared like the devil seemed to be frightened by the presence of the stranger, it could only be imagined the kind of feelings that were surging through his nerves.Elias had resumed his silence, but his aura was deafening, enough to cause conflict inside the old man’s body.“You cannot kill me, Elias. You know the rules, son.”“Don’t call me that!” Elias fired, thundering all over the place. “I am not your son, Kyron! I was never, and I will never be!”“Is that what you tell yourself to feel b

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREENo matter how hard he tried, Elias couldn’t ignore the words he heard from the old man.Finding the perpetrators of his Mother’s death was a mystery he had not been able to solve for years, and only the thought of it caused him so much pain.Kyron’s breath was still shaky, his eyes swelling with apprehension.“I am not lying, Elias! I have every detail of how your mother was killed, and I can show you! You just have to let me go! Please.”Elias growled at him. “I don’t believe you.” He said, causing the old man to gasp.“You know that I am not a liar, Elias!” Kyron said with a shaking voice, and Elias grunted.“Yes, I knew that you were not a liar. But I cannot say the same for you now. I wonder how someone as evil as you were possessed of such a character of honesty.” His muscles twisted into a look of disdain, his eyes glittering with intense rage.Kyron swallowed hard, hoping that it was going to calm the storm brewing inside him.“I was curious, Elias,” He pau

CHAPTER TWENTY-FOURIt was hard to believe him, but his expression lacked any form of uncertainty.Elias battled with the feelings that rippled deep inside him, causing him to turn to the old man again after he had stared at the images for the umpteenth time.“You know not to lie to me.” He snorted, his burning eyes glaring at Kyron who swallowed hard at once, unable to find his next words.“I will rip your heart from your chest if you are lying to me.” Elias growled at him, and with just a slight move of his hands, he sent the old man shivering backward, fear and apprehension glittering in his eyes.Kyron took a deep breath, attempting to break free from the cringe that gripped him.“I would never lie to you, Drake. Aisha and Delvin are alive.” His voice was barely above a whisper, carrying the heavy weight of the emotions that were nestled inside him. With every opportunity he got, he was ready to move backward, afraid that he could be made to eat sand by the Supreme Ruler.“I know

CHAPTER TWENTY-FIVEKyron wasted no time, afraid that he could piss Elias off.“This way. Come with me.” He left the room in a hurry, sauntering along the hallway while Elias followed behind with just a little space between them. They eventually stopped in front of a wooden door, and Kyron pulled out a key from his pocket. He inserted it into the keyhole and twisted slowly, unlocking the door. With almost all his might, he pushed as the door had no handle, and as the creaking sound reverberated, Elias looked into the dark room from where he was standing. He couldn’t see any other thing but darkness, and just a tiny light coming in through the small window ahead of him.Just then, Kyron walked into the room, signaling to him to join him.“They are in here.” The old man said, but there was no sign of human beings inside.Elias was not afraid, but he was worried that he could be walking into the trap. After his last encounter with the old man, it had become very hard to build the trust h

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIXThe old man could barely keep up with his speed, still balancing his weight with the aid of the walking staff he held onto with all his strength.“Wait, son! Wait for me!” He beckoned loudly, grunting as he made several failed attempts to catch up with Elias.“You should at least tell me where you are going!” He groaned when he heard a crack in his bone, grabbing his waist with his left hands. After a while, Elias slowed down, but Kyron was only able to catch up with him when he was already out of the building.“You should have waited for me!” Kyron panted as soon as he walked out of the building, standing before Elias with a heavy breath. His guards were relieved that he was still alive as soon as they saw him, but that didn’t mean that they had stopped being terrified by the sight of the Supreme Ruler.Kyron gave them signs to walk away, and they obliged without asking any questions.Just then, Elias decided to get rid of his silence, turning to the old man with a

CHAPTER TWENTY-SEVENWith an increasing speed, Elias located the oak tree, and while the shooter on the tree was attempting to escape, he grabbed him before he could touch the ground, pinning him with one hand. The other was still shooting, but soon, he ran out of arrows, and the only option left for him was to make use of his swords.Unsheathing the two katana with him, he quickly lunged an attack at Elias, swinging his blades speedily.Just then, a third shooter appeared, firing at will and aiming for Elias’s legs, believing that it was going to be easier for him to shoot his on the legs.Elias only had to move his head to the right, and then to the left to avoid the arrows, and then he caught one of them.“Here! Catch!” He threw the arrow at the third shooter, and before he could realize what was coming to him, he had already been hit from afar.He fell to the ground, dying on the spot. This left his cohorts speechless, and they stared with their eyes wide, and their jaws dropped.

CHAPTER TWENTY-EIGHTElias said no words. He just kept his hands straight and steady, and before long, he released the arrow from the string of the blood. The second archer gasped, and while his body remained frozen, he waited to be hit.But the arrow missed him by a few inches, piercing into the tree behind him.He kept on panting with his mouth wide open, fastening his hands to the ground filled with leaves as he stared at Elias with wide eyes. The Supreme Ruler sniggered at him, and then he lowered the bow. “That was on purpose. I don’t think you will be lucky next time.” He grabbed another arrow that was plunged to the ground, and then he fastened it to the bow, aiming for the man’s head.“Look behind you. I am sure you can see how sharp your arrows are. They are going to break into your skull and end you permanently.”The man could no longer hold onto his silence.“Talia Winston sent us to kill you!” He said loudly, taking a deep breath without getting relief.Elias lowered the b

CHAPTER TWENTY-NINEWith an intense amount of fear surging through him after he heard the words from Elias, the teenage boy was forced to accept his fate.“I will go with you, Sir. But you must promise me that you will let me go. I have shown you the person that wants you dead.”Elias looked at Tony, staring with a wry smile as the teenage boy waited anxiously for a response, unsure if he was going to get a good response from him.“You seem very smart.” Elias nodded with a chuckle, and then he took a deep breath.“I am going to give you exactly what you want, Tony. Freedom.”Tony sighed heavily, and it seemed as though a new kind of energy had been introduced into his system. For some reason, he believed that Elias had the key to grant him freedom from the bondage he had been in for years.Eagerly and attempting to suppress his fear, he opened the door and got out of the van.But when it seemed as though a thought had crawled into his mind, he could no longer find his steps.“What is

CHAPTER THIRTYTalia nodded with a wry smile. “Why not?” She took a deep breath. “I knew that you were not going to be willing to come and see me, so I devised a means to get the almighty Elias to come look for me.”She sniggered. “My plan worked!” Her laughter rose high above and lasted until she was satisfied. While she was still looking at Elias who was silent and calm, she walked up to him and her bodyguards followed. Only that they stood behind her instead of her sides.“We have a lot to talk about, My darling. Come.” She extended her hand to grab Elias, but he withdrew it instantly from her reach.Talia scoffed. “Don’t tell me that you are angry over what happened, my love. This is clearly not something that should be enough to get you upset.”Elias sighed, his expression cold and unreadable. “Maybe you should have stayed dead, Talia.” His voice was low, and lacked even the smallest ounce of emotion. The truth was written in his eyes, his gaze piercing and thorough.Talia’s eyes
