CHAPTER SIXTY-ONE“Tell me.” Elias demanded anxiously, but it took a while before Mario could break his silence.“The cameras, Godfather. We can track her through the cameras all over the streets. Our company has hi-tech that can help in this regard.”Elias nodded. “Let’s go then.” He pointed, and Mario led the way back into the tall building. They arrived in one of the large rooms that looked like a control room with so many computers and devices all over the place.Mario assembled all the software programmers available, and they set to work at once.Elias waited patiently, looking at all the screens of the computers in front of him.“Boss.” One of the young men in the room raised his hand, and Mario hurried to him at once.“I think I found something.” The young man pointed to his screen, and Elias pulled closer while Mario leaned closer to the screen.“This was before she was taken.” The man explained while everyone was staring at the screen.Elias growled as he saw men drag Elena

CHAPTER SIXTY-TWOElias took a deep breath, and then he walked up to Angelo, grabbed him by the neck and pinned him to the wall without minding that he was stark naked. The ladies were triggered by this, and they picked up what was left of their dignity, scrambling away amidst the whimpers that erupted from them.“What have I done, Sir?!” Angelo gasped for air, attempting to catch his breath. He didn’t bother to fight it, knowing that his efforts were going to be very futile.“Please! I beg you, Sir! I didn’t do anything! Those ladies mean nothing to me!” It was very hard for him to know what he was apologizing for, especially since Elias had refused to say even a word to him.He was gradually losing his breath, but Elias had no intension of killing him.He snarled at him, and with a low tone, he asked, “Where is my wife?”“You wife?” Angelo retorted as though he had forgotten that his daughter recently got married to Elias.“You mean Elena? My daughter!” Angelo suddenly got back to h

CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE“Good.” Elias nodded while Angelo was still catching his breath.“You will be taking me to her. Stand up at once.” He ordered, forcing Angelo off the bed with his eyes.Angelo was reluctant when it seemed like a thought had suddenly crawled into his mind.“I just remembered something, Sir.” He raised his right hand with signs that he was begging for permission to speak. Then he cleared his throat. “Fiona s not home, Sir. She told me that she was leaving for Darnia today. She has some work to do that requires that she travels early this morning. I am sure she must have left since morning.”Hs voice had already lost its grip, indicating that he was not being honest.Elias looked at him with a cold expression, and then he cleared his throat.“Move.” He pointed, and Angelo hurried out of the room.As he sauntered cautiously along the hallway, he turned as many times as he could to look at Elias, afraid that he could hit him from behind.“I don’t think we should be goin

CHAPTER SIXTY-FOURColesaid nothing.Even though he couldn’t deny the fact that he was wary of Elias, he tried not to react the way he felt in order to protect his territory.“Who is this man, Mr. Angelo? And why does he want to know where Fiona is?”Angelo took a deep breath, and lifting his head slowly, he cleared his throat.“I think you should listen to him, son.” He said to his son-in-law, but the young man seemed to be very stubborn at that moment. He turned to Elias and looked at him with a little disdain in his eyes. “Why should I listen to him? Is he the police?” Colescoffed, holding onto his baby tightly.“Even if he is the police, he doesn’t have the right to come here and just ask questions without having a warrant. I know my rights, and the rights of my wife.”Elias scoffed, and then he turned to Angelo. “I didn’t come here to waste my time, Angelo. Ask him to kindly tell me where his wife is.”Angelo nodded, his breath was still shaky. “Just listen to him, Dan. This is n

CHAPTER SIXTY-FIVEColetried to catch the baby, but he slipped from his hand, and just when he was about to fall to the ground, Elias caught him, and then he handed him over to his grandfather.Angelo swallowed hard while he held onto the baby, his eyes sparking with anxiety.“Please. Don’t kill him.” He begged, knowing that Colewas going to suffer greatly in the hands of Elias."I can’t make that promise.” Elias growled, and then he walked into the building, grabbing Colewho had fallen to the ground, bleeding from his nostrils.“What you are doing is wrong! Totally wrong!” Coletried to escape from Elias’s grip, but he wasn’t fast enough.Elias pinned him to the wall, and looking him in the eyes, he asked, “Where is Fiona?!” His voice triggered panic inside Dan’s system, freezing his breath.“I…” Coleswallowed hard, his heart beating so fast that he thought he was going to collapse. That was when he understood what Angelo had been trying to tell him, but it was already too late.“I do

CHAPTER SIXTY-SIXElias scoured the entire place, and when he finally saw the trap that Fiona had set for him, he scoffed, turning to her with a wry smile.“Really? Is this the best you can do?”Fiona looked at him with a little confusion etched on her face. “What the hell are you talking about?” She asked, but Elias was still busy looking around.“Leave this place, Elias! Leave or I will be forced to call the cops!” She threatened, but that didn’t seem like what could threaten Elias. He looked at her for a while, and then his expression turned cold and unpredictable.“What are you going to tell them? That you kidnapped your sister?”“What?” Fiona gasped, pretending not to know what he was talking. “How can you accuse me of taking my sister?” She asked, and Elias scoffed.“You just proved to me that you know where she is.” Elias was gradually losing his patience, approaching her slowly.“Tell these men with you not to try to be smart. They are only going to waste their time.” He warne

CHAPTER SIXTY-SEVENBruce took a deep breath, feeling the tension hanging just above him and spreading toward Fiona. He saw it, the fire burning in Elias’s eyes.“Who are you?” He was forced to ask, and that was not just because he was curious, but because he was very worried about the threat that he heard from the strange man standing before him.“My name is Elias.” Elias took a deep breath, looking him in the eyes.“I have been called so many things by many, but amongst them is the great vanquisher.”“The great vanquisher?” Bruce muttered, attempting to figure out where he had heard that name.Elias nodded. “That is correct.” He sniggered, looking directly into the Commander’s eyes.“I don’t know what it is that this lady standing right there told you.” He pointed to Theresa, and then he continued with a lower tone.“But I am not going to leave until I find my wife. She took my wife, her sister, and I am not leaving this place until I find her.”Bruce turned to Fiona, surprise etche

CHAPTER SIXTY-EIGHTBruce was so alarmed by the words he heard from Elias that he pulled out two daggers from his side, pointing them at Elias while he held onto them tightly.“I suggest you surrender yourself, Elias. Among other crimes that you have committed, you are also accused of beating up soldiers who have been trained to protect the rights and lives of people by the government. You have defiled the government, and you must pay for it.”Elias scoffed, causing his expression to drop.“I cannot imagine that you are the one saying this, Commander.” He shook his head, harboring so many thoughts that lingered inside his head.“Such a shame. What women can do to strong men.” He looked at the blades Bruce was holding, and he nodded with a wry smile.“Those are very sharp and pretty daggers, Commander. Maybe you could tell me where you got them so that I could get one for myself.”“I am not playing games with you!” Bruce growled at him, ready to attack him with his blades.“I am not pl

CHAPTER SIXTY-NINE“You want to see my tattoo?” Elias asked, looking Bruce in the eyes. This question left the Commander speechless. He could feel the rising tension as it thickened in the air.The apprehension that gripped him was intense, but he still wanted to satisfy his curiosity.“Yes.” He nodded, his voice barely above a whisper. “Show me.” He demanded, taking a deep breath.Fiona didn’t like this. “What are you doing, Bruce? This was not the reason why I asked you to come! Have you forgotten what is at stake?!” She pressed further, but even with her constant reminder that echoed inside Bruce’s ears, he didn’t seem to be ready to give up the desire to see what Elias was about to show him.Just then, Elias unbuttoned five buttons on his shirt, and then he slowly pulled his shirt to reveal the colorful tattoo of a hydra on his chest.Bruce gasped, his entire body frozen at the sight. “I will be damned!” He muttered, gulping hard saliva.Fiona, on the other hand, saw the tattoo, a

CHAPTER SEVENTYFiona swallowed hard, feeling the heat that erupted from the words the Commander said to her.She could still hear it resounding in her ears as though it was going to remain there.Even Elias’s presence sent shivers down her spine. He didn’t say anything; he didn’t need to.Just his eyes were enough to cause her to panic, and it dawned on her that her plans had changed.“I…” She had to stay silent for a while, trying to gather enough momentum to continue.“I don’t have Elena. I don’t know where she is.” She said with a whisper, and this infuriated the Commander, who raised the dagger higher, attempting to fulfill his promise.Fiona gasped, shielding her face with her hands.“Wait!” She winced downward, her entire body gripped by the shackles of terror.“I can find out where she is! I swear!” She was panting, trying to catch her breath.Bruce growled at her, running out of patience. “What do you mean by that?! You took your sister, and now you are saying this!”“I didn
