CHAPTER EIIGHTY-ONEElena stared at Elias that hot afternoon, her mind occupied by the many thoughts that crawled into his mind.Elias noticed her curious stare, but he didn’t seem ready to speak. He ate silently, holding onto the spoon tightly. But the stare persisted, and Elias could no longer continue with his silence. He dropped the spoon in the plate of soup, shifting his gaze to Elena who had refused to take her eyes off him.“Are you going to tell me what is bothering you or you are going to continue staring at me like you have been asked to do that?” He arched his brows while he waited for a response.Elena took a deep breath, and then she looked Elias in the eyes.“I need to tell you something.” She finally broke her silence, and while Elias’s curiosity lingered, she grabbed the glass of water and quenched her thirst with almost the entire content. Then she sighed heavily, dropping the glass back on the table.“Fabian’s father is back to Mog.” She said, but the words left

CHAPTER EIGHTY-TWOElena was silent for a while, and when she eventually decided to break her silence, she cleared her throat, continuing with a low tone.“What is going on, Elias?” She asked, her tone laced with a little nervousness.Elias took a deep breath. “Just do what I said, Elena . I will see you when I get back.” He ended the call, and then the desire to remain where he was set in.At first, he thought of not going anywhere, but the thought of the important places he had to go to made him move.Slowly, he drove, increasing the speed of the car with every passing minute. He arrived at the hospital in less than thirty minutes, and he hurried into the building at once, his steps silent and swift. As soon as he walked into the ward, Tony stood up from the chair close to his sister and hurried to him.“You came back.” He said with an excited tone, causing Elias to raise an eyebrow.“Of course, I came back. I told you that I was going to be back, didn’t I?”“You did.” Tony nodded,

CHAPTER EIGHTY-THREE“What are you doing here?!” Elias asked with an angry tone, but it was hard for the Doctor to speak because he had restocked both his voice and his airflow. He wheezed, and then he lifted his hands while he begged to be released.Elias finally let him go when he saw that he was almost out of breath, prompting him to cough while he staggered backward.Elias looked behind him to be sure that no one was coming, and then he moved closer to the Doctor, his fists tightly balled as though he was about to release a punch. He watched angrily as the Doctor struggled to get a grip on himself, fuming aggressively."Do you want to kill me?!" The Doctor finally broke his silence, his voice barely above a whisper.Elias growled at him. “I should have killed you. You don’t deserve to live.” He paused for a while, and then he asked, “What are you doing here?”“I should be asking you that.” The Doctor retorted, pointing his finger at Elias.“What are you doing here, Godfather?” He

CHAPTER EIGHTY-FOUR“What did you just you just say to me?” Elias asked, trying to be certain that he heard him correctly.Felix stuttered, gripped by an intensive fear that seized his voice.“What did you say to me?” Elias took just one step forward, but that was all he needed to make the Doctor scared.“Please, don’t make me leave! I am happy here!” He pleaded with teary eyes, but that was not enough to stop Elias from still marching up to him.“I was not asking.” Elias grabbed him by the neck again, but instead of pinning him to the wall as usual, he decided to lift him several inches above the ground. The Doctor’s feet dangled all over the floor, and even when he tried to break free, it turned out that his entire strength was nothing compared to the might of the Godfather.Elias growled at him, looking up to his drained face while he raised him higher.“You are not welcome here, Felix.” He growled at him, and then he took a deep breath without ending his intense glower.Felix whee

CHAPTER EIGHTY-FIVEThe Godfather found it very difficult for him to forget what Felix did in the past, but since Felix looked like he would never joke with his life, he decided to give him a chance.“You can go.” He permitted, and grabbing his stethoscope from the ground, Felix hurried to the ward.Elias followed him slowly, and when they got in, they met the teenage girl mumbling some words which seemed very hard for her brother to understand.Tony was very anxious, and he didn’t know even the smallest relief until he heard the footsteps approaching. He sighed heavily, leaving the way for the Doctor to attend to his sister.Felix stared at the girl for a while, and after he had checked her eyes, he decided that it was time for him to discard his stethoscope. While he was still attending to Tonia, Elias’s phone rang, and when he saw the caller, he stepped outside to answer the call.“What do you want?” He asked, his voice dripping with displeasure.“I want my children!” Talia’s voice

CHAPTER EIGHTY-SIXElena tried to resist the urge to break her silence, but watching Elias as he folded the last cloth into the small box, she couldn’t stop herself from asking where he was going.“You have refused to tell me exactly where you are going.” She stood up from the bed, walked up to Elias and looked him in the eyes.“We have been married for only a few weeks, yet you have decided to move from one place to the other. Is this how we will enjoy this marriage?”Elias sighed heavily, and feeling the sadness that gripped her, he decided to make her feel better.“I already told you, wifey. I am going on a journey to save Tony’s sister. Her life is at stake, and she needs something very rare to make her get better.”Elena took a deep breath, and it was hard to tell if she believed him or not.“Where exactly are you going?” She asked, and it was hard to tell if she was going to get a response from Elias. He had been silent for a very long time, making it hard for her to make up h

CHAPTER EIGHTY-SEVENElias drove for more than five hours, but the determination to find the cure for his sick daughter kept him going. He had decided not to stop until he got to the mountain, prompting him to leave very early that morning. But the fuel gauge on his dashboard was a reminder that he needed to fill his tank if he was ready to make it back with his car and enough fuel when he was done with what he had gone to the mountain to do.Since he had left Mog a very long time ago, it was hard to tell where he was going to get fuel since he was not familiar with the Territory. That was a City, but it looked almost deserted.Elias had to slow down while he was on the look out for a fuel station, and after driving into places he didn’t consider suitable for over thirty minutes, he still couldn’t find anything.“What kind of godforsaken place is this?” He grunted, clenching the steering wheel tightly. He was about to give up when he saw the smoke rising from the sky.It was had to te

CHAPTER EIGHTY-EIGHTThe boy had expected Elias to be scared the moment he heard the sound of the motorcycles approaching, but he seemed to be too calm, looking around while he waited to see who was coming.“Tell them that you didn’t see me.” The boy ran into the building and slammed the door, locking it at once.In a matter of seconds, the smoke rising from the chimney stopped, and silence returned slowly.Elias took a deep breath, and then he moved closer to his car.It was hard to neglect the warning of the boy, especially when he could still hear the sound of motorbikes wheeling toward him. There was only one way in, and that seemed to be the same way out since the other road had been blocked with cars heaped on top of each other.Elias only had to wait for a few seconds before he started to see the motorcycles as they sped toward him.Their riders were erratic, hooting and laughing hysterically as they held carelessly onto the handles of the bikes, pulling very dangerous stunts.

CHAPTER EIGHTY-NINETen minutes were passed, but Elias was yet to come out of his car.He remained silent, looking around and completely unbothered by the number of men who had surrounded him.About twenty more had come out from different corners, holding onto so many things that looked like weapons.Elias was silent, composed, and cautious, his eyes hawking from one corner to the other.Even though everything he could see read signs of danger, he didn’t feel threatened. He had not seen anything that was supposed to make him worried, his eyes moving to the entrance of the building.A few minutes later, the leader of the bikers tapped on his window, and he turned to look at him.The man gestured to Elias to roll down his glass, and he hesitated for a while before he reluctantly pushed the button beside him.“Come down.” The man instructed, his countenance displaying command even though his voice sounded calm.Elias stared at him for a while, and then he took a deep breath.“Where is Ar

CHAPTER NINETYThey had the same tattoos and shared the same apprehension as the first two Elias saw.But he didn’t seem so much interested in them; his main focus was on the reason why he had agreed to go into that mansion.“Where is Argon?” He asked even though it had become very obvious that the ladies were not going to say even a word to him, no matter how much he tried to get them to speak.“Can I see Argon now?!” He was gradually getting pissed, but even with his grunt and his fierce stare, the ladies didn’t look like they were going to oblige him.Their eyes were all looking at the floor, their fingers slowly quivering.Elias decided that he was no longer going to speak to them, realizing that it was very pointless.Slowly, he looked ahead, and when he saw the entrance at the end of the hallway, he decided to saunter toward it.At first, he thought that the two guards ahead were going to stop him, but they didn’t even bother to look at him. They just stood still, holding onto t
