CHALLENGE IS TWO FACE
The Auction proceeding swung into action."All items on the list today are rare Plants and Herbs, they're invaluable, if you lose getting one today, you might never have the chance to get it again soon." The anchor intentionally hiked the expectation of the hall. Silence stretched, the kind of silence that carried the buzzing of the air conditioning system across the room. The smell of expensive cologne and medicinal plants carried across the air.Everyone leaned in.The Auctioneer pointed at the first compartment. Inside, a white plant sat, Whiter than fresh snow, glowing with a natural light."The first plant on the list is the ghost orchid." He paused, the hall listened. "This plant is very rare, our team of expert collectors spent an entire year before they could get just a one of it.." he paused, again, allowing his words to land and sink carefully, a professional way of spiking the people's interest.".... this plant is known for its consistent healing capability; cracked bones
THE FALL OF RICHARD CARLSON
The Auction Hall plunged into chaos of scrapping chairs, gasps and shock that passed through the atmosphere like an electric voltage.Richard Carlson was surrounded by murmurs of suspicion, his fist curled at the side, anger burned through him. Despite how he tried to stay calm, sweat shimmered over his forehead, dripping to his collar.Logic told him Elias knew something which he shouldn't possibly have known. His secret.Amara, consumed by rage, jerked up with the energy of a woman escaping from an explosion site. The chair scraped the marble backward."Don't believe him! He's a lier!!" She screamed, putting aside every act of composure. She clicked forward, heels stabbing marble like a knife on steel and stood beside Richard. Her chest rose and fell in rapid and shallow breath. Her trembling finger snapped at Elias. "That Man over there doesn't even have any medical qualification. He hasn't even been in a clinic before, and neither is he a herbalist! Whatever he told you, it's a l
RICHARD CARLSON IN TROUBLE
Inside the Auction room was hot and uncomfortable for Amara. Sweats poured from here body like a Dam burst. Her anger became a physical thing, evidence from her trembling physique and tightened finger that dug into her palm like dull blade, forming just crescent without dripping blood. Her heels clacked the expensive marble as she stumbled out of the stage, the seat behind which was once her throne now felt like a snare for the entire embarrassment. Her king was gone, and now her crown had slipped off.The fabrics of her gown shuffled violently as she crossed the room, heels stabbing the marble frantically like a knife against steel. The whispers followed her like wild fire, each one a dagger to her heart. The men who once laughed at Elias sorrounded him, asking questions, requesting for his business card, even some were already making plans to invest in his hospital. But they didn't know the man at the centre was the one who had been controlling the 80% of the world medical affairs.
CONSUMED BY RAGE
The Car pulled over with a loud screech, the driver's door swung open as though it was kicked open. Amara's heel stabbed the concrete and she pushed herself out of the Car.The door slammed shut behind her.Her face was red with embarrassment and it was even more noticeable under the afternoon light. Her eyes were ignited with anger from the humiliation at the Pavilion. She moved across the new apartment with quick steps, carried by anger and bitterness. The fabrics of her gown shuffled with each step."This is absolute nonsense. Nonsense!!"Meaning while, inside the two bedroom apartment was nothing like what Amara felt— It was completely different. The smell of expensive perfumes and sandalwood, and that particular smell of new furniture cloaked the room.Daine, her mother had invited over her three friends to the house to celebrate her daughter's breakthrough that would soon crash down but they were yet to know it.Diane sat on the new leather sofa that felt high like an enormous
A CALL FROM MEDIC TITAN
Diane's gaze darted about the littered apartment in shock."What the hell happened here..Amara?" Her voice cracked. She looked away from the wreck to her daughter who looked completely a Mess. Her brow tightened in confusion. "Did Richard do something to you when you both went out?" Amara snapped her head to her. Her eyes were red as blood, her arms trembled at the side as anger consumed something inside of her that was her usual composure."It's that bastard, Elias!! He humiliated me at the Pavilion! Because of him, Richard got arrested! I'll tear him apart. He's going to regret his existence when I'm finished with him." Her scream shook the room's fittings. Diane paused, her brow raised. "Elias? What the heck is he doing at the pavilion? Are you sure it was him you saw?" "It was him! With that bitch! They were both there and he was speaking like he knew so much, like he knew a lot about medicine. Because of him, Richard got arrested by the Cops." Diane didn't speak immediately.
TAKING THE BULL BY THE HORN
Amara Blake wasn't thinking about heading to the station for Richard Carlson anymore, her mind scrambled for ways to save her company about to be rattled by Titan Medics. Her breathing became fast and shallow.Daine formed at her side, her eyes filled with curiosity. She stared at the ghostly pale expression on her daughter's face, watched she moved up and down like a pendulum Bob when it was distorted by an external force. Her heels clicked sharply with force that could break the Marble.Amara pressed her finger against the side of her head, a sudden migraine tearing through her skull from mental stress.Since the issue at the pavilion, problems had been popping up one after the other. Her mind scrambled, thinking about the person who could have gone ahead to report her company that Titan Medics placed her on probationary status. Her mind wasn't only spinning for a solution, it was counting down the deadline. Twenty four hours for her company to collapse, or save it by proving tha
THE ORDER OF HEALERS
Elias and Amara secured the cure of the nine vein venom. It encased in an ornate box carried by Bianca's personal bodyguard at the back. A tall and muscular man dressed in a Black suit that fitted him and with space enough to hide weapon. His name was Marcus. The Vast premise of the pavilion still buzzed with rhythms of soft laughter and conversations from dispersing attendees, while some carried boxes outside, and among them were people driving their Cars out of the place. As Elias and Bianca walked to their car, two young men crossed their way, making them stop in their tracks. Marcus' hand quickly moved inside his vest instinctively. Bianca raised a hand, signalling him to stop. Slowly and hesitantly, his hand slid to his side. He straightened, staring at the two young men intently, ready to any of them if they move suspiciously. The two young men stared at Elias in contempt and visible anger."Who are you even? You ruined our job!" The taller one sneered at Elias after looking at
THE WHITE SAGE IS HERE
"Here comes the white sage!""He's finished!!" "He better be on his two knees begging for his life!" The air buzzed with murmuring.Elias wasn't moved a bit. The taller discipline of the white sage grinned satisfactorily when Elias didn't speak again and after he tried to walk away. He already imagined Elias crawling out of the place with his leg or arm broken. He'll bleed out of this place whether he apologizes or not.The last time someone insulted his master, the person left with blood pouring from his mouth after the white sage struck him just once. No hospitals in this city were able to save him until his family came, begging the white sage for forgiveness. Only then did the white sage show mercy and heal him. This man had insulted the white sage and the legendary Doctor indirectly, the grandmaster he never knew.He doesn't deserve to live.Peterson Alejandro, the young man who approached Bianca earlier at the auction hall adjusted his cuff, straightened his collar and walke
THE WHITE SAGE KNELT
"Old man," Elias said, his voice and dismissive. "walk away right now."When everyone expected Elias to be apologetic, that was the statement he contrastingly uttered.Strangulated gasp rippled through the air."Is he mad!!" "This young man is ready to die!""I pity his children, they'll have no Will to share his inheritance!""Is he crazy? He's still boldly speaking before the white sage! This is outrageous!" "The white sage will not have mercy on him!" The white Sage eyes darkened like an eclipse. His hands were shaking behind his back. This air around him trembled. Stiffly, his unlocked his hands and dropped it to his side. An invisible force trembled around his fist as he got ready to strike Elias.Peterson stepped in again seeing the situation. He cleared his throat and gave a gentle respectful bow."The white sage," he cooed, "this young man deserves to be punished. He disrespected you. But this woman here.." he pointed at Bianca. "..she is my partner. You are familiar wit
HEALERS DON'T BEG
The impact of the slap sounded louder like a detonated Bomb. The disciple stumbled back like a three leg chair. He planted his palm against the hood of the nearest car to catch himself. The atmosphere was thrown into confusion. Whispers spread in hush tones.Red marks bloomed across his face like an ethnic mark on faces of certain people used for cultural recognition in African countries. But this was pain— pain in red and marks. His back hunched like he'd taken a terrible blow, one palm planted to his face in shock. The other disciple took one step back cautiously, his lips trembling with words he was damn skeptical to speak. The white sage in his current trembling posture, walked over, and loomed against him like a shadow of something threatening."Do you have an idea," his voice came low, shaking, far more dangerous than anything the apprentice has ever heard, "who that man you just insulted is? Are you crazy?!" He sent a kick to the disciples shin. "Ahhh..ahh.." he doubled ove
