CHAPTER FIFTY-ONE The bright green light on the necklace had stopped shining, and it also stopped vibrating, but Kelvin could still feel the strange sensation that was drawing him toward the opening. He looked deeper into it, and he could see a bridge built across two cliffs. It was made of wood, but there was no guarantee that it was still as strong as the ropes attached to it were old and rusty. “Are you going in there?” Jerry asked with a nervous tone, looking at Kelvin, who turned to look at him without saying a word. “Kelvin? I think this is a really bad idea.” Jerry said at once, looking at Kelvin, who was walking toward the bridge with slow but steady steps, looking at something that looked like a cage on the other side. “Kelvin? Wait! Listen to me!” Jerry tried to call out to Kelvin, but he ignored him and continued walking slowly, being very careful not to fall off the bridge. After a few seconds, Kelvin stopped while he held onto the ropes attached to the bridge, and

CHAPTER FIFTY-TWO Kelvin agreed with the words he heard from Jerry because he had gotten what he wanted and felt he didn't have anything else to do inside the library. “I agree with you, Jerry. Let’s get out of this place.” Kelvin started heading toward the tunnel while Jerry followed him at once, looking around anxiously. “Hurry, Kelvin. I can still hear those voices. I think we are not alone inside here.” Jerry walked very close to Kelvin, who was already a few meters away from the tunnel, when they heard the sound of footsteps running through one of the aisles in the library. “Did you hear that?” Jerry turned at once, looking around the library, but everything was just the way it was. “I heard it too, Jerry. Do you think anyone is here with us?”“I don’t know, Kelvin. But I told you that I could hear voices.” Jerry said with a shaky voice, looking at Kelvin, who scoured all the corners of the library that were visible to them, searching for whatever made the sound. “We have t

CHAPTER FIFTY-THREE Kelvin was composed at that moment, but the intense fear that gripped Jerry at that moment conflicted with his composure, giving him the concern of worrying about his welfare. “Kelvin? I am scared! I don’t wanna be eaten by those dogs! They look very scary!” Jerry continued staring anxiously at the dogs that were slowly getting closer and closer. “Just stay calm, Jerry. Stay calm, and we will be fine.” “Are you kidding me? There is no way I am waiting for these dogs to eat me alive! I am out!” Jerry took to his heels, swinging his hands aggressively as he ran through the avenue in front of him. “Jerry! Wait! Wait!” Kelvin called out to him, but he was already about five kilometers away from him, running farther away from one of the dogs that went after him while the other waited for an opportunity to attack Kelvin, who was standing still, looking eyeball to eyeball with it. “He shouldn’t have made any move.” Kelvin sighed heavily, looking at Jerry, who was al

CHAPTER FIFTY-FOUR While the dog was still in the air, Kelvin held it on the neck with both hands, tightening his grip while the dog barked loudly, struggling to free himself from Kelvin’s tight grasp, all to no avail. “Whoa!” Jerry gasped at the sight in front of him, staring at the sight of Kelvin holding onto the dog with so much ease. His mouth was agape, and he almost let go of the things he was holding onto with both hands. “Stay calm! Stay calm! Stop struggling, or I will make you!” Kelvin warned the dog, but it refused to listen, still barking and growling while it continued struggling in an attempt to free itself from Kelvin’s tight grip. Its partner stood still, barking at Kelvin, probably telling him to let go of it, but it couldn’t do anything as it was afraid of meeting the same fate. “You just don’t want to listen!” Kelvin grunted in a little frustration, and reacting to the anger that engulfed him, he lowered the dog at once and pressed it really hard on the ground

CHAPTER FIFTY-FIVE Kelvin woke up the next morning to see Vella sitting next to him on the bed while she kept her eyes on him, smiling pleasantly. “Good morning, Kelvin. I am sure you had a good rest.”“I had the weirdest dream ever.” Kelvin groaned loudly, stretching his arms while he yawned loudly, causing Vella to lean backward, looking at him with a smirk on her face. “Tell me about this dream of yours, Kelvin. Did you see anyone?” Vella asked while Kelvin uncovered himself with the duvet and climbed down the bed, while he struggled to keep his eyes open. “What are you doing here so early, Vella? Don’t you have anything to do in the infinite forest?”“Something like what?” Vella asked at once, looking at Kelvin, who cleared his throat before giving her a response. “I don’t know! Maybe you can take care of the creatures there, tend to the ones who are sick, and even help them build whatever has been destroyed.” Kelvin yawned again, but not as loudly as he did earlier, while Ve

CHAPTER FIFTY-SIX Kelvin stared at the book in his hands for a few seconds, and when he eventually resolved to follow his instincts, he closed his eyes and let out a heavy sigh before following the direction of the sensation that engulfed him a few seconds later. “Go on, Kelvin. Let the book show you how to unlock it; look out for the location of the key.” Vella said calmly, smiling while she continued staring at Kelvin, who had a neutral expression on his face until after a few seconds, when a smile appeared on his face. Vella chuckled instantly the moment she saw the look on his face, nodding with so much satisfaction. “I think I've got it, Vella!” Kelvin said excitedly as soon as he opened his eyes, just before he looked at the book closely, pushing it upward to his face. “I am sure you do, Kelvin. Well done.” Vella chuckled again, looking at Kelvin, who sighed heavily just before taking another glance at the book, which he dropped back on the bed. “What now?” He said to Vell

CHAPTER FIFTY-SEVEN Heather didn’t seem happy to see the Butler, but even though she showed it on her face, the middle -aged man couldn’t care less as he didn’t even take note of the look on her face while he concentrated on Kelvin, who turned to look at him as soon as he heard his voice. “Hello, Michael. I had a wonderful night. What about you?”“I did too, thank you, Lord Kelvin.” Michael nodded with a smile on his face just before he stole a glance at Heather, whom he smirked at. “Miss Cocker? I see that you took the liberty to making breakfast for Lord Kelvin. I didn’t know it was also part of your job description to be his chef.” Heather was speechless at that moment. She tried to look at the Butler, but the expression she saw on his face was enough to make her withdraw her gaze at once. Left with no choice, she turned to look at Kelvin, who was speechless, expecting him to say something, but it seemed like he was in support of whatever the butler was doing. “I will just ta

CHAPTER FIFTY-EIGHT Andy realized that he didn’t have any other choice but to do as Kelvin instructed. He turned on the ignition of the car and drove out of the premises at an increasing speed. As he drove to the familiar neighborhood, Andy looked around, nervous about the nature of his neighborhood. “We are here, Lord Kelvin,” Andy announced as soon as he got to the exact location Kelvin spoke about, while he turned around to look at him without turning off the ignition of the car. “Already?” Kelvin said calmly, looking through the windows of the car until he was able to see the tavern located by the right corner of the street. Andy was surprised that Kelvin didn’t know where he was going; he looked at him for a few seconds before he nodded in response. “Alright. You wait right here; I will be back as soon as I can.” Kelvin grabbed the handle of the door at once, opened the door, and walked out before he slammed the door instantly. “Do you want me to come with you, Lord Kelvin

CHAPTER FIFTY-NINE Kelvin continued to stare at the beautiful lady for a while, unable to resist the urge to admire her. Everything about her made him want to know more about her, her smile, her great beauty, and especially her good sense of humor. “It’s really nice to meet you, Maya. I wonder what a pretty girl like you is doing in a place like this.” Kelvin looked around the tavern, expressing his displeasure. “Well, not everyone is fortunate to come from a rich family like you. I am sure you have someone who cooks for you.” Maya retorted at once, cleaning the inside of one of the glasses with the white napkin she grabbed from the counter below her. “And you can tell this by merely looking at me?” Lim asked with a voice a little above a whisper, looking at Maya, who slowly lifted her face from the glass she was carefully holding onto and nodded in response.“Am I wrong? Don’t you have someone who cooks for you?” Maya asked confidently, but Kelvin was unable to give her a respons

CHAPTER SIXTYSurprisingly, and as opposed to what Maya thought, Kelvin was very calm even when Mr. Gary moved the dagger close to his face. Kelvin didn’t bother to flinch even though he was wary of the man with a golden tooth. “Who are you?” Mr. Gary was forced to ask when he sensed the aura that was emitting from Kelvin who stood his ground, resisting every form of intimidation from him.“My name is Kelvin, Kelvin Regal,” Kelvin said with a low tone while his hands remained in the air. “Kelvin?” Mr. Gary said with a whisper, looking at Kelvin while he tried to see if his face was going to be familiar just like his name. “Yes, Mr. Gary. My name is Kelvin, and I believe that you have something that I desperately need.” Kelvin said with a nod, and then he waited for a few seconds just to be sure the middle-aged man was not going to attack before he lowered his hands and sighed heavily. “I knew it! I knew that the prophecies were true! I knew that you were going to come someday! You
