CHAPTER SEVENTY ONEDan was dumbfounded as well while he stared at Kelvin with so much shock in his eyes, not sure if holding him was a really good idea. “Is that the best you’ve got? I said it, Morris. You do punch like a girl, or even a chicken. I gave you a lot of credit, you punch like a chicken.” Kelvin chuckled loudly, looking at Morris who was pissed off intensely by his words. “You think I punch like a chicken? Just hold on, I will show you that I don’t punch like a chicken!” Morris rolled his right arm to gather momentum, and when he was satisfied, he clenched his fist again, and released another punch on Kelvin’s face, making sure that he did it with all his energy. Instead of hurting Kelvin just like Morris intended, his knuckles cracked, and the severe pain he got from the impact made him grunt. Certainly, his fist was dislocated, and he felt the pain down to his shoulder, causing him to take two steps backward while Kelvin sniggered at him. “Poor Morris! Are you hur

CHAPTER SEVENTY-TWO Belinda moved closer to Morris, and when she saw that Morris was almost out of breath as his eyes rolled backward, she gasped. “Just let him go! There is no way he is going to confess with the way you are holding him! I beg you!” Belinda pleaded with a shaky voice, almost kneeling while she struggled with the fright that engulfed her. “Fine! I will listen to you!” Kelvin agreed to do what Belinda said even though he felt so much anger each time he looked at her, he returned his gaze to Morris whose mouth was wide open, and then he sighed softly. “Make sure you tell me what I want to hear or the next one will lead to your death!” Kelvin let go of Morris who fell to the ground at once, making a loud thud while he gasped for air, breathing frantically in an attempt to regain full consciousness. “Morris? Are you okay? Can you hear me?” Belinda said anxiously while she moved toward Morris, knelt down beside him, and grabbed him by his shoulders. Morris coughed sev

CHAPTER SEVENTY-THREE Morris was taken to the school clinic alongside Dan to have their injuries treated, and when they were attended to, they moved to the Dean’s office alongside Belinda who reluctantly followed them. Meanwhile, Kelvin was seated in the classroom with no one seated by his side. All the students in the classroom were listening to what the professor standing in front of the class was saying when one of the professors in charge of discipline walked into the room with a worrisome expression on her face. Seeing her was enough to cause a little tension in the minds of the students, especially those who had done one or two things that could get them punished. She was never a bearer of good news. Each time she came into a classroom, especially whenever she didn’t have any lectures with them, she always came to summon a student who may have defaulted in one way or the other. Without being told, Kelvin knew the reason why she was there, and he chuckled softly while some o

CHAPTER SEVENTY-FOUR Kelvin had his eyes on Belinda from the moment she was asked to narrate what happened by Mrs. Evans. From the look on her face, he was certain that she was going to lie against him, but he wasn’t perturbed by that. “Go on, Miss Wilson. We are listening.” Henry said when Belinda had been silent for over five seconds. Everyone had their eyes on her, including Dan who couldn't say a word while he struggled with the pain all over his body. He seemed to have collected more beatings than Morris, and at that moment, he was thinking of quitting his friendship with Morris. Belinda lifted her face slowly to look at Kelvin, and as soon as she saw that he was already staring at her, she withdrew her face at once and bent her head to the ground. “Go on, Belinda. Everyone is waiting.” Morris whispered to her, gesturing with his hands in an attempt to urge her to tell them their own version of the story. “We were on our way to lectures this morning when we saw him standing

CHAPTER SEVENTY-FIVE Kelvin wasn’t surprised about the words he heard from the Dean, and he chose to remain calm even though he was annoyed by the fact that he requested for his phone. “Mr. Ashwood? I am still waiting for you.” Henry said with a low tone, and then he moved closer to Kelvin who remained where he was without letting go of his smirk. “You want me to hand over my phone, Mr. Cassius?”“Yes, I need to make sure that the pictures are deleted. Your actions have defiled the privacy of these students, and I need to ensure that this doesn’t get out to the public.” “No, Mr. Cassius. I am not going to have my phone over to you. I can see clearly that you are not going to check the footage from the camera, that would have proven that I was defending myself.” “Mr. Ashwood? We have decided to let go of that and settle this amicably.” Mrs. Evans said calmly, trying to get closer to Kelvin who took a step backward while looking at her with a smirk on his face. Kelvin scoffed with

CHAPTER SEVENTY-SIX While the room was still silent, Kelvin looked at everyone in front of him one after the other, and seeing that they were very nervous, he nodded in satisfaction. “I told you, Morris. I told you that you were going to pay for everything you have done! I will make sure you do not get away from this one!” “Mr. Ashwood? We can talk about this, it doesn’t have to end this way.” Henry said while he took two steps closer to Kelvin who shook his head to indicate that he wasn’t going to listen to him. “It’s already too late for that, Mr. Cassius. I hope you have a good explanation to give to the police by the time they arrive here. I am sure that…” Kelvin was forced to take a break when he heard the sound of the car that drove close to the building and parked very close to it. He took five steps to the window and looked down at once while everyone wondered why he did what he did. When he saw that it was the police, he nodded in satisfaction and returned his gaze to t

CHAPTER SEVENTY-SEVEN William realized that the name Morris mentioned was very familiar, and he nodded with a smirk on his face. “I see…” He said calmly, while his eyes were still on the senior student who was arrogant even in the midst of the tension that was in the air. “You are Silas Prescott’s son, interesting. Your father has always enjoyed making people suffer because he feels he has all it takes to do so. The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree.” William looked at Morris with so much displeasure in his eyes. It also seemed as though William was not the only one who wasn’t pleased with Morris’s father as they frowned instantly, looking at him with so much anger in their eyes. “I hope your father will be willing to come down from his high horse to pay you a visit in prison by the time you are found guilty of what you have been accused of. Come on…” William grabbed Morris’s hand, and dragged him closer to himself. “What are you doing? You are not afraid of my father?” “Do

CHAPTER SEVENTY-EIGHT That afternoon at the school canteen, everyone was talking about the news about Morris and his friends’ arrest. A student who happened to have seen when the policemen were taking them away managed to take a picture which she uploaded to the school’s social media account, and everyone saw as Morris was disgraced out of the school premises. “Does this have anything to do with the death of Kelvin Robinson?”“I guess his father wasn't able to cover up for him this time.”“That served him right, Emma. He thinks that he can do whatever he wants and get away with it.” Even when they were enjoying their meals, the students were also occupied with gossiping about the the apprehension of Morris and his friends. Some of the students were sorry that Belinda was involved in the situation while others were of the opinion that she deserved what she got. “This is partly her fault. She left Kelvin for Morris, and now that he is dead, she should be able to face the consequence

CHAPTER SEVENTY-NINE Kelvin looked at the hand of the team leader for a few seconds, but the senior student didn’t mind waiting for as long as it was going to take for Kelvin to shake him. “Kelvin, Kelvin Ashwood,” Kelvin said when he eventually shook Jack who chuckled softly with so much excitement written all over his face. “I know who you are, Kelvin. We all know who you are.” Jack said, and then he looked behind him, gesturing to his friends who nodded to affirm his words. “See? They all agree that you are very popular, Kelvin.” Jack said while Kelvin withdrew his hand from the handshake slowly before he cleared his throat. “Well, I didn’t know that I was that popular. I have only been here for a few days.” “It doesn’t matter, Kelvin. Let’s just cut to the chase…” Jack grabbed one of the chairs close to a table close to the table Kelvin and Jacob were seated on. Jacob adjusted himself as soon as he saw that Jack was about to sit close to him, but Jack didn’t see the reactio

CHAPTER EIGHTY Kelvin stood a few meters away from the school’s parking lot, waiting for Andy to arrive with the car after calling him as soon as school was over. “There you are! I thought you were gone!” Jacob said with a sigh of relief as soon as he saw Kelvin after looking for him for a while. “I looked for you in the biology lab; I thought you were going to be there.”“But I told you that I was going to be standing outside waiting for you, Jacob,” Kelvin said with a smirk on his face, looking at Jacob, who was struggling to keep his backpack in place. “Yes! You mentioned! This crazy backpack! It won’t zip up!” Jacob said with a strained voice while he attempted for the second time to zip his backpack, which refused to zip up. “Let me help you with that.” Kelvin grabbed the backpack, which was strapped to Jacob’s back, and then he zipped it up after rearranging all the things inside. “I can see that you have a lot of things stuck inside here, Jacob.”“Oh, yes. Those are some
