CHAPTER 31: MIRA HOUSE DAWN
The banners went up overnight. Blue and silver were Voss colors. “THE VOSS FOUNDATION FOR CHILDREN - OPENING SOON” Right across the street, two stories taller. A line was already formed at the entrance of Voss Foundation, Mothers with empty baskets, teachers with resumes and a priest were already there blessing the place. Jem rips one down, another goes up. CHAPTER 32: THE WEIGHT
Lady Sera watches,the whole people in the line is shorter on her steps and longer at the book on the cobblestone.She doesn’t scream.She doesn’t throw coins.She just... recalculates, looking for the best ways to strike.Lady Sera asked him softly.You learned that from her.Davan closes the book and hands it to Mara. At the Voss Foundation, 2 weeks later at midnight.The brass doors are locked, the 400 beds are empty, but the candle in the black book room is still burning, there were more than three candle sticks that the wax has finished,everyone is asleep already.Lady Sera Voss is not sleeping, Voss daughters don't sleep, especially when a plan is in motion. CHAPTER 34: DAVAN AND FRANKLIN HANDLES THE MATTER
The next morning, they both walked to the square, with no guards, as soon as they got to the square.Davan turned to the city, he was not with a book, he came with just his voice. He stood there facing the people then he said.“We have flour for 3 weeks but the Voss Foundation has grain for 3 months,If winter comes and we run out,we will ask you for help.And if you give us, we will write your name in the book, not because of gold but because you stayed and helped”. CHAPTER 37: THE TOUGH DECISION
