Quinn didn’t like the sound of what he just heard. He narrowed his eyes. "Captain Mera, do you know about the numbers of Accord?"She nodded with a dark look on her face. "There are seventeen numbers of the Accord. They are the most powerful members of the Black Accord. To think one of their members would be here!"Quinn nodded. "Then we have to get out of here, as it seems things are about to become really dangerous. Come, Canute, I have a task for you. Take my ring, you’ll find some artifacts inside..."On the other hand, it seemed Ragna was waiting for just that, as he shuddered when the eye focused on him and said he should begin. But he also straightened and nodded. He put his hand on the flag and brought it close to his nose.He inhaled sharply, and the last white in the flag was stripped away. It entered his nose in a stream of energy. Cracking sounds echoed out from him as if his very bones were taking charge and changing. His flesh also smoothed as if the white energy from th

He started to flee, but a red lightning shot down, wrapped around him unceremoniously, and drained him, leaving him as a husk on the ground.Ragna Warbine, former Warbine heir, was killed without any fanfare. He was dead, just like that. The projection turned to Quinn next, and from those cold merciless eyes, Quinn saw a flicker of doubt as if the First General was considering killing him.But then he looked away, and the next instant, the image shattered.Quinn released a sigh he didn't even know he was holding. "That damned First General..."Immediately, things began calming down. Even though the fighting hadn't lasted more than a few minutes, the hole in the ground remained, but the Titled Monster flesh that had been trying to emerge was already back underground.Everywhere was still crawling with red writing. The High Chief nodded. Without even looking at Ragna's husk, he made sure that the Salva wasn't harmed. Then he spoke, and his voice echoed throughout the whole fortress, sto

That midnight, something happened. If one was to observe the First General's fortress from high above, what they would see would be flickering red light that twisted and occasionally shot out of the fortress and into the sky.And if one was to trace the small streak of light that shot away into the sky, they would follow it to the capital of the Warbine Clan territory, a big city of bustling Orcs. The lights then entered the grandest building there which was the Stronghold of the High Chief and directly to the communicative artifacts."The High Chief sent orders down! We are starting the Unity Orders!""Third General, please give the follow up orders to forward the transmission to the other fortress!""Accepted!""Until the return of the High Chief and the Elders, the Third General, the only general in the city at the moment, is given command and should act as the central chain of command!"Martial law is now declared and effective on all the Warbine territory!"Effective immediately,

The next morning, everyone had heard that the Tarakis declared war on the other Orcs. "You were right about the Orcs declaring war, Quinn," Canute said. It was morning and Quinn was on his way with the others to a meeting with the High Chief. The meeting was held in the Chief's private room. Quinn nodded. "It's only to be expected." Behind him were Captain Mera and Taurus, the only ones allowed to accompany him. The guards opened the door for them and they entered the room. The High Chief was seated with a large table in front of him. The table was covered in papers and maps. Bent over it were the Elders and the High Chief, and the newcomers entering caused them to look up. Most of the Elders ignored them, except for the one whose son had died at Quinn's hand. The High Chief rested his eyes on Quinn. His gaze was unreadable. "Humans from the Dragon land." His voice was heavy. "You have forced my hand." Quinn bowed. "High Chief. Wasn't it your sons that forced your hand? Well.

"Why are you watching him leave?" Atop a building, the First General asked the High Chief. The High Chief turned to look at the First General with a slight frown on his face. "Because I feel like I should kill him now when he is so within reach.""Are you afraid of his so-called SSS rank?"The High Chief shook his head. "That? I'm not afraid of that. Well, maybe it's all part of it since that is what makes him a Drakemont. But I'm more afraid of the look in his eyes. The look that says he has everything under control."I don't like it at all."The First General grunted. He knew what the High Chief was saying and he had almost killed him as well. "Maybe we should have killed him. It's not like the Drakemont has the might to do anything at the moment.""Not they don't. They are about to be destroyed. It's a shame that we weren't the ones to do it. Ah, well. It's all the same anyway. Come, let's face our war."I need to issue a declaration that any other parties that interfere in the Orc

Quinn waited until it was night before he went to see the Standpoint High Commander. It was the same dinner room as before but this time, they were both alone."I heard that you didn't manage to convince the Orcs to support you." Rhydian Drakemont sat at the head of the table. He was holding a knife and a fork.Quinn looked at him. The person was just as powerful as Drenvar in terms of military power in the Drakemont. The only difference was that one of them was Dragon Lord. But that difference, and the authority that came with it, was like heaven and earth."I don't know if you are pleased or not," Quinn said as he also sat down at the other end.Rhydian shrugged. "I am pleased. I do not want the Orcs in the Drakemont's territory. But now, even the Orcs are at war, it seems things went far out of what you expected."Quinn snorted. "What do you hear?"Rhydian looked troubled. "That if the Orcs go to war then things won't be good for us at the end if they manage to unify.""Do you hear

The next morning Quinn was off again with his attendants after he had worked with the High Commander to access some of the vaults in the Standpoint fortress. But what really made the High Commander start making moves was that a letter came from the Dragon Lord and some authority was actually transferred to Quinn's ring. Before Quinn left the Standpoint fortress, the High Commander had already begun calling out orders, and Standpoint was waking up. But Quinn didn't wait behind to see all of that as he was already on his way to the Blanktar.Soon a week flew by and they could see Blanktar in their view.Once inside, Quinn saw the influence of the army camp near the city in the way everyone was dull and twitchy. There was a great expectation and tiredness that clung to them in the form of dark skin around their eyes.It was as if they wanted it to be done with already, the war. Not only that, with the lockdown that the Red Leaves initiated, some goods were becoming dangerously hard to fi

Quinn watched the Duke shoot away into the distance like a streak of green star. He still continued watching even after he was long gone. Then he sighed. "What a troublesome fellow. He has already made up his mind... we move. To Last Tooth fortress!"With that they began the journey to the fortress, his guard of Dragon Guards and New Dawn followed behind and around him, their movement causing a storm of dust to rise around them as the ground shook.Within three hours they were looking at the fortress in the distance. On their way they met a lot of roadblocks and patrols that stopped them for confirmation. And now, with the fortress so close by, the news that the Dragon heir was close had reached them and a delegation of guards were dispatched to accompany them. They were taken directly into the fortress to meet the Dragon Lord, who was in a military meeting with his Commanders. The door was gently pushed forward into a room that was filled with shouting chaos."Is the Dragon Lord goin

None of them replied. Not Quinn or Drenvar. They stared at the Commander together, but they did not react. Instead, the Dragon Lord stood up and raised his hand. He reached out into empty space as if he were trying to grasp something, and his ring shone in answer.A sword suddenly appeared in his hand. The sword was a thin longsword with red rust, as if it had been dipped in blood for most of its lifespan. But what was astonishing about the blood was that, immediately upon appearing, it sent out pressure that weighed down on the surroundings. The pressure felt like small blades digging into their flesh, making everyone twitch.Everyone knew instinctively that the sword was a dangerous weapon.Drenvar looked at everyone calmly. "I am going to war. I will not force any of you to fight with me. But I will note how each and every one of you fights."I will reward you and punish you later, depending on how things turn out."Then the Dragon Lord stepped back and repeated, "I am going to war

Quinn had already decided not to participate in the battle. It was not because he was afraid, but rather because it was not logical for him to do so.He had no training in fighting with an army. He did not know what to do on a battlefield compared to the soldiers and Dragonkins who trained specifically for things like that.So he stood at the battlement of the Last Tooth Fortress and watched as things were about to play out.The Dragon Lord had left a number of warriors behind to watch and defend his son. And with him were his Dragon Guards and the New Dawn."If this was not a hurried battle, we still have a number of war constructs and battle formations back in the Standpoint Fortress to use... but the Dragon Lord did not recall them."Canute looked at Quinn with a raised brow. "I really do not understand why he did not recall them. The battle formations we have here cannot be more than enough, not to mention the war constructs. No matter how you look at it, things are not looking go
