Stacey brought a mixture of milk and honey, slowly pouring it into Philip’s mouth. He struggled, choking on the sweet liquid, but they forced him to swallow it. His stomach churned with the mixture, and soon it dripped from his mouth, coating his body in a sticky mess.

The honey attracted flies, beetles, and other insects from the forest, which began to crawl across his skin. They clustered at his mouth, eyes, and nose, eager for the sugary coating on his body.

Hours passed, and the real torment began.

Philip groaned, his body bloated from the milk and honey mixture, his bowels betraying him. He was left to lie in his own filth, unable to move. The stench of excrement mixed with the honey, attracting even more insects. Flies and maggots burrowed into his flesh, feeding on his decaying skin.

As the hours stretched into days, the insects began to crawl into his eyes, nostrils, and ears. Philip screamed in agony, but no one came to help. His cries only served to attract more scavenge

The next morning came quickly — the day of the Langston Empire’s board meeting.Adam pressed his foot on the brake, and the black sedan came to a smooth halt in front of Langston Tower. The sleek, shimmering skyscraper seemed taller today, more intimidating — a castle made of glass and steel.Ava opened the rear door and stepped out gracefully, smoothing her tailored suit and lifting her chin. She turned back toward the car and said quietly, “Okay… you can wait for me here. the meeting would probably take two hours.”Adam remained sitting, hands on the steering wheel. “I’m going in with you.”Ava pressed her lips together in a tight line. “You can’t. The board meeting is for members only.”Adam sighed, opened his door, and walked around to her side. His expression remained firm, unfazed by her resistance. “I’m not here as a guest. I’m here as your security. That’s the job I signed up for — protecting you, wherever you go.”Ava crossed her arms. “This isn’t a nightclub. It’s a closed m

The doctor pressed his forehead against the icy metal wall, his knuckles white against it. His voice faltered. “I… I honestly… I have no idea where the other labs are… or where the captives are kept.”Adam tightened his grip briefly, then sighed and let him go. “how could you not know anything? you're just useless.”The doctor nodded weakly. “All I know is… there are more… many more… Scientists like me… soldiers… creatures… all working under Cross-Blood’s orders. But I… I don't know where… please… please, I’m not a monster… just… a tool.”For a moment, silence fell — heavy, oppressive, filled with promises of future danger. Adam turned away, pressed a small button on his earpiece, and called Voss.“Voss.”“Yes, boss?” Voss’s voice crackled in his ear.“Call the police… and the ambulance. Get everyone in this lab — soldiers, doctor… all of them — into proper custody.”“Got it.”Adam exhaled and pressed forward. “And we need to talk… about what comes next.”A few minutes later, Voss sto

The alarm wailed, bouncing off metal and tile, a piercing chorus that seemed to celebrate the monstrosities now staggering off their gurneys.Adam tightened his knuckles, exhaling a deep, icy breath. His pulse remained calm — nearly impossible under the pressure — but a spark glimmered in his eyes.He darted forward, a silhouette against a riot of purple-eyed soldiers. His first punch landed squarely against a massive shoulder — normally enough to stagger a grown man — but this specimen barely budged. Instead, it grabbed Adam’s wrist with a grip like a vice.Adam tried to break free, shifting his weight and adding force, but the creature remained anchored, immovable. With a single squeeze, it nearly crushed his wrist, forcing him back a step.“That’s what I’m talking about.” The doctor’s voice rose above the alarm, a sinister thread tying chaos together. He pressed against a control rail, smiling through bloody lips. “Did you really think you’d match them… match us?”He staggered forw

Adam stood in the dimly lit chamber, surrounded by countless human experiments suspended on metal tables. His knuckles tightened, and a deep rage rose within him.Suddenly, from a hidden side room, a man in a white lab coat walked in, casually wiping his bloody gloves on a piece of cloth. His piercing green eyes fell directly on Adam. The doctor clicked his tongue. “Who are you… and what are you doing here?”Adam remained silent for a moment, letting the silence weigh heavy in the air. His jaw tightened. “The real question is… what the hell are you doing to these people?”The doctor sighed and straightened his glasses. “If you know what’s best for you… you should leave immediately. All else… will not be leaving here alive.”Adam’s stare remained icy. “I’m not going anywhere… until you answer me.”The doctor pressed a small button on his wristband. “Too late. You chose this path.”Suddenly, hidden doors opened all around the chamber. Seven soldiers in black tactical gear marched in, th

The dimly lit entrance fell silent except for the rhythmic drip of water somewhere in the distance. Adam kept walking forward, unfazed by the oppressive silence and the piercing gaze of the guard who stood in his path.“Hey… place is closed. Come back tomorrow.” The man tried to make his voice firm, but it trembled just a little under Adam’s piercing stare.Adam remained silent, letting his knuckles crack quietly as his hands tightened into fists. The man raised his voice, suspicion battling confusion. “Hey! Did you hear me, friend?”For a moment, the only answer was the rustling of Adam’s clothes as he walked forward a step. The man pressed on, trying to assert himself. “I said we’re closed. Whatever you’re looking for… it’s not here.”Adam sighed softly and nodded. “See… you shouldn’t have asked me that.”The guard faltered. “E-8-Day delivery?”Adam’s face remained a mask of calm. “Who told you…?”“It doesn’t matter who.” His knuckles tightened, a spark of danger glimmered in his ey

  • Chapter 254

Adam sat quietly in his dimly lit room, the silence heavy like a blanket over his shoulders. He peeled off his shirt, revealing a scar-laced chest—remnants of battles long buried in memory. A dull ache pulsed beneath his ribs.He crossed his legs, closed his eyes, and exhaled slowly.A faint glow shimmered around him—soft and golden, like ripples in still water. His breathing steadied. Energy coiled and flowed within him, moving through meridians like warm rivers of power. But just as the peace settled, a sharp jolt cut through his side."Still there," he muttered, grimacing. His hand pressed against his ribs. His thoughts wandered back—years ago, after the war on the western border. The final siege. The blood-soaked cliffs. That last fight had left him with a wound no healer could fix. Not fully. He needed the Three Amulets. He already had one—the cursed Idol Amulet—safely hidden, which he kept with Tessa. Two remained.Without them, he could only suppress the pain… not erase it.He
