Hearing this, Ryker burst into laughter.

“ I’m giving you just twelve hours. Twelve hours to release him, or I swear, you’ll regret ever touching my son.”

“I’m challenging you then,” the caller responded, his voice filled with arrogance and a twisted sense of confidence. “Let’s see what you can do. If you don’t find me within a day, I’ll cut off one of his fingers and send it to you. If two days pass and you still can’t, I’ll make it two fingers. And on the third day…”

He chuckled coldly, the sound unnerving.

“On the third day, I’ll send you one of his toes. That’s how it will start. I’ll keep dismembering him piece by piece… until there’s nothing left of your son.”

Ryker didn’t respond right away. His hand was already clenched so tight around his phone and his knuckles were turning white. His eyes stayed locked on the screen his bodyguard was holding.

Then a whisper came beside him.

“Just twenty seconds left,” his bodyguard muttered, barely audible.
