The next day. To Sabito it was like a wave of new beginnings. But in this world, the past kicks in and haunts the very soul.

Just as his eyes snapped open, Sabito's phone buzzed, vibrating heavily as if it would fall to the ground.

His eyes turned and narrowed on the screen that eventually brightened up. Sabito picked it up only to see that it was five new messages from Rose.

“Don't tell me you don't see my messages.” That was the first message.

“Are you choosing to ignore me? At least say something?” - the second message.

“The hell is wrong with you! Why haven't you texted back.” That text was around midnight.

“Hey! Let's talk please.” That was the fifth message and it came in this morning.

Sabito's eyes blinked, he breathed in as memories of yesterday's event kicked into his head steadily. The drink she poured on him, the slap on his face and the embarrassment he faced.

His hands clenched the phone so much it almost cracked, face twisting in displeasure. ‘Why would a woman be

The next day. A soft knock at the door jolted Sabito and Rose awake. Like a bolt of lightening, they looked down, heart thudding against their ribcage at the thought of being naked. If someone found them, then they would surely die from embarrassment! Slowly, they looked down, and to their surprise, they were still on their clothes. "Goodness!" Rose's hands moved to her chest, her heart slowly crawling back into its place. "That was close!"“Who is there?” Sabito asked aloud.“It's Giselle. How was your trip?” She asked softly.“Come back later.” Sabito responded at once. “Did we do anything.” Sabito asked Rose urgently. Rose glanced at Sabito from head to toe. “Are you asking me that question?” Her voice trailed off, unsure. Sabito became silent, and he flashed back to what happened yesterday night. Rose was already prepared to commit her body to Sabito. She had pulled off her dress, and laid beside him in a comfortable night gown.Sabito drew her close and placed her head on hi

  • Doing His Job

The meeting room was beautifully designed. Glasses are lined in rows around the four corners like walls, and are mounted around so that the people participating in the meeting could view the outside world. Sabito and Nathan Smith walked into the meeting room very early. The table was made of sleek, but strong watercolor glass. The chairs were irons. On the table are lined laptops positioned in each person's chairs and a tiny almost invisible microphone. Sabito blinked, and he sat down beside Nathan Smith.“Good morning, Mr Nathan.” Orwell greeted. “Good morning, sir.” Nathan replied.“Who is this young man here?” Orwell asked, taking a quick glance at Sabito before gazing back at Mr Nathan. “Oh. That is my new company's ambassador. He will be the one to pitch the idea to your hearings.” He explained. Now, Orwell finally faced Sabito. “Good morning, sir.” Sabito greeted with a subtle bow.“Good morning, young man. Without wasting much time, kindly go to the stage and present what

  • Never Letting Him Go

“Hello,” he sounded urgent after Rose picked up. “Hello, good morning. How was your night?” She asked with care in her voice. “It was good.” Sabito replied. “There is something I want to discuss with you.” he said.Rose's face instantly lit up from his word. “What is it?” Rose asked sharply. Her heart slowly thudding against her chest.“I am traveling for one week with The Sun Magazine CEO.” He said, and it was like a bomb explosion in Rose's mind!“What?!” She sounded. “You are traveling, and... you are just letting know?” Her face shrank. “I am really sorry.” He apologized. “I totally forgot about it.” Rose blinked. “That is not an excuse for this kind of behaviour. How do you want me to feel? We got back together just yesterday, and you are traveling this morning.” Her voice rose to a pitch, panic wrapping around it. “I am very sorry." Sabito apologized again. That's the only thing he could do at the moment. "Even my parents are not aware yet. I will be back in no time.” He pa

  • Concern And Curiosity

The restaurant was fantastic with its intricate design that combines both pleasure and elegance. The electric bulb pulsed gently, spilling warm glows through the serene atmosphere. The chairs were soft and made out of expensive materials. The restaurant is one of the best in town, and it is majorly meant for celebrities. “Do you like this restaurant?” Sabito asked Rose. Rose takes a look aloud, prioritising silence before she makes any comment. “It is indeed beautiful.” She nodded, her voice finally dropped. Sabito half-smiled. “I am glad you loved it. Let's go ahead.” He said, and both of them took slow steps forward to an empty space. Sabito was romantic enough to help pull her chair backwards. “Thank you.” Rose was more than excited as she sat on it.Sabito went across the table and he sat elegantly on the chair. He stared at Rose's face even though he didn't say anything. Rose didn't take her eyes off him as well, the tension in the air thickening between them.Soon, the silen

  • Reconciliation

‘Why would Rose act in such a way? Is it bad for me to suggest just friendship?’ He thought in his head. He was pissed, bothered, and at the same time, was suspicious if Rose would want to force him into a second chance. And he wasn't ready for that, not yet. He suited himself up, sat in his new Limousine. His bodyguard sat by him and the other started the car. A few minutes later, Sabito arrived at her house. With a sigh, he stepped down from his car and he walked slowly to the door. Then, he knocked. “Who is there?” A feminine voice familiar to the one that called him on the phone earlier responded. ‘That should be her mother.’ Sabito thought. “It's Sabito.” He replied sharply. Rose's mother, Evelyn, was excited at the hearing of Sabito's name. Quickly, she walked up to the door, and she opened it. “Sabito. Please come in. I have been waiting for you.” She said with excitement all over her face. Sabito blinked, silent as he walked inside. Then, she came in front o

  • The Scent Of Fear

He raised his head, locked eyes with Sabito. “I swear, I am not aware of this transaction. I know I input the figures. But these particular ones, I don't know about them.” He spoke with innocence. Sabito sighed as if exhausted. “You don't need to worry yourself. I will report this to the CEO.” He stated.“That is not necessary. Why don't we investigate this, and look it together?” The accountant in the person of Charlie asked politely.“Okay. After the investigation. We are going to report this case to the CEO.” He said.Charlie nodded. “We will with immediate effect.” He said.“Okay. I will leave now.” Sabito said, and turned his back. He intentionally didn't show Charlie the rest of the holes he saw. Although Charlie sounded innocent. Sabito's instinct couldn't trust him. Charlie watched Sabito close the door. Immediately he was gone, Charlie jerked up hurriedly, the chair scraping against the floor!‘What the hell? How...How is he this intelligent?! Even the CEO couldn't find it.
