Axelion is always insulted

"Actually, you don't belong here, because this school is for children who have a lot of money and you don't belong. Your parents are just food vendors."

It was common to hear such taunts coming out of the mouths of his friends at school. Axelion only responded with a smile.

"Poor people can only smile huh?" Axelion's friend returned the taunt greeted with another taunt.

"Hey! What did you expect? He denied? Oh that's impossible, because what you said is the truth,"

After being satisfied with mocking Axelion, they laughed contentedly, while Axelion still maintained his smile.

Axelion was about to walk to his class but suddenly his shoulder was hit so that Azelion fell on the floor, then Axelion's shoulder was stepped on until Axelion grimaced.

"Please don't do this, I didn't do anything wrong," Axelion said to his friend Calvin. But Calvin laughed and continued to step on Axelion's shoulder. Apart from feeling pain, Axelion's clothes were also made dirty by Calvin's shoes.

"Keep going, Calvin! Make him suffer. He doesn't deserve to be here," Fredy told Calvin. Fredy supported what Calvin was doing.

Because he felt his shoulder was getting sore from being stepped on, and Axelion was afraid of being late for class, Axelion finally tried to get up.

Axelion pushed Calvin's leg away and made Calvin fall down because he was not ready for what Axelion was doing.

"Sorry, Calvin. But I think you've gone too far. I haven't done anything wrong, so please don't be mean to me," Axelion said and continued on his way to class.

Calvin didn't accept what Axelion had done. Finally Calvin pulled Axelion's shirt then hit Axelion's face injured.

"That's your reward," Calvin said and then walked away, leaving Axelion who had just been punched in the face by Calvin.

"I didn't do anything wrong to him, but why am I being treated like this? Is my life destined to always be miserable? Okay no problem. As long as I have you Mom, I will still feel fine even if the world is bad to me, because Mom always strengthen me,"

"Madam's condition is getting worse. I hope that God will bring a miracle for your recovery soon, Madam."

Valerie smiled at the doctor's explanation of her condition which was not getting better by the day, but quite the opposite.

"Madam is a strong woman, I am sure she will recover."

"Yes, I'm also sure that one day all my illnesses will be cured. It's just a matter of time,"

Valerie has had various illnesses since a few years ago. But her spirit to heal never faded. She had to live a long time, because Axelion needed her. Valerie wanted to spend more time with Axelion.

Axelion was the only child she had. Axelion was her treasure, her soul, and that's how she thought of him. She couldn't imagine not being there for him, she was sure the world would mock him even more and there would be no one to strengthen him.

"Madam must always be strong, there is Axelion who really hopes that Madam can recover,"

After saying that, Valerie walked out of the examination room, which had become a regular occurrence for her because she would come there every week to have her condition checked. Valerie's heart, kidneys, and lungs were all severely affected. So coming to the hospital was a regular occurrence for Valerie as well as Axelion who loved to accompany his mother for treatment. But for today, Valerie's scheduled check-up coincided with Axelion not being home from school yet so Valerie only came to the hospital by herself.

Arriving home, Axelion was already home from school. Axelion immediately warmly welcomed Valerie's arrival.

"Mom, why don't you wait for me and then we go to the hospital together?"

"I have to be there on time, and you're not home yet, so I'm going alone."

"I'm sorry, mom."

"Axelion, you don't need to apologize. I'm very happy that you've always tried to accompany me, and I'll be very understanding when you can't do it for some reason. I don't want you to put me first, while education is very important to you,"

Axelion smiled and hugged his mother. He prayed every time he hugged Valerie. He asked God to give his mother strength to go through the trials that God had given her.

"Oh yeah, there's my friend's birthday party tonight, Mom. I want to come,"

"Yes, don't forget to buy a gift. Coming to a birthday party without a gift doesn't feel complete."

"But I can only buy a simple gift. She's a girl, maybe I'll buy her a doll, Mom. Do you agree?"

"A simple gift is fine, the most important thing is that you celebrate her happy day. I agree that you should give her a doll, because girls usually like that. But are you really invited? I don't want you to come there without an invitation and then you will be humiliated,"

"Mom, all students in the school are invited without exception, I read that on the invitation that was given,"

Axelion knew his mother was worried about him being humiliated. But he wouldn't have come if he hadn't been invited. His mother was too scared that he would be humiliated coming to an event that would be attended by children with a lot of money.

After being allowed by his mother to attend his schoolmate's birthday party, Axelion immediately rushed to find a gift that he would give to his friend. Although he couldn't give an expensive gift, he wanted to add to the happiness felt by his friend even though the gift he gave must be the cheapest and worst among other friends.

Axelion still didn't understand so he ignored the voice, until he finally arrived home. He quickly got ready because he didn't want to be late for his friend's birthday party.

Upon arrival, he was greeted with the usual insults. But Axelion didn't want to respond because his purpose in coming was to appreciate the invitation that had been given to him.

"Oh my gosh, why is this poor guy so confident to come here?!"

"Hey Axelion! You're shameless, aren't you? You don't belong here, look at your clothes, look at what you're carrying!"

"I came here because I was invited," Axelion replied.

Suddenly Axelion's mouth was punched by one of the men named Harry. Axelion winced in pain, his lip was suddenly bleeding.

"That's what you get for answering!"

Axelion shook his head in wonder. Those friends of his couldn't let him live a quiet life. They never tired of insulting his poor self who had nothing.

Axelion immediately gave the gift he had prepared to Charlote who was tonight's princess in the event she had made herself.

"Happy birthday, Charlote. Sorry I can only give you this,"

"Don't accept it, Charlote! It's a cheap gift, shame on you!"

"Don't lower your self esteem, Charlote! That gift doesn't deserve to be in your hands,"

The voices of Axelion's schoolmates who didn't like him were immediately heard telling Charlote not to accept the gift given by Axelion. Unprepared for Charlote's possible rejection, Axelion finally put the gift on the table opposite Charlote and then Axelion left. Having been insulted enough for coming, and bringing inexpensive gifts, Axelion didn't want to get a rejection from Charlote who was having a birthday.

After Axelion left, the sound of laughter immediately echoed in the room where the party was held. Charlote also laughed while shaking her head.

"Why did he leave?"

"Because he was embarrassed, Charlote!"

"Though I don't mind him giving any gift,"

Hearing Charlote's words, his friends were immediately surprised. They did not expect that there were still those who wanted to accept Axelion being in their midst, and still wanted to accept the gifts that Axelion gave.

But afterward, they were all surprised by Charlote's treatment who suddenly knocked Axelion's gift off the table so that it fell to the floor.

"Just seeing him come, I was surprised, plus he dared to give me a gift like this. He’s probably too confident that I can accept it,"

"Hahahaha nice Charlote!" Everyone exclaimed.

"I wonder why he dared to come? He knew he’d get a reception like that."

"I told you earlier, he’s overconfident, but doesn't remember who he is!"
