Dino gripped his mother’s arm and pulled her behind him. The air in the dimly lit corridor was thick with tension. Gunfire rattled through the estate like a war drum, signaling Sanchez’s men closing in.

Elena’s voice crackled in his earpiece. “Dino, Sanchez is sending everything he has at you. You need to move. Now!”

Dino exhaled sharply. Sanchez wasn’t running. He was hunting.

Dino turned to his mother. “Stay behind me.”

She didn’t argue. She knew what was at stake.
