The final bell rang.
Students poured out of the classrooms, talking and laughing as they headed home. Kelvin packed his bag slowly. He could still feel the warmth from the garden earlier, but he forced himself to stay focused. Happiness could wait. Danger was closer.
Xenovia waited for him near the door.
“Are you going home now?” she asked.
“Yeah,” Kelvin answered. “You should go home too. Don’t wait for me.”
She looked like she wanted to say more, but in the end she only nodded. “Text me when you get home, okay?”
Kelvin gave a small nod and watched her leave with her friends. Only when she was gone did he walk toward the motorcycle parking area.
He never reached it.
Three figures stepped out from behind the row of motorcycles and blocked his path. Zico stood in the middle. His two friends, Jengki and Fredy, stood on both sides. Their faces were dark.
“You think you’re something now?” Zico said, his voice low and full of hate. “New clothes. New motorcycle. And now you’re getting close to my sister?”
Kelvin stopped walking. He adjusted the strap of his bag and looked at them calmly.
“What do you want, Zico?”
“What do I want?” Zico let out a short, ugly laugh. “I want you to disappear. For real this time.”
Jengki and Fredy spread out, trying to surround him. Kelvin took one step back and checked his surroundings. The parking area was almost empty. Most students had already left. No teachers were in sight.
The System’s voice spoke in his mind.
[Warning: Hostile intent detected.]
[New Mission: Survive the attack without serious injury.]
[Reward: $5,000 + 10 System Points]
[Failure: High chance of severe injury]
Kelvin’s heart beat faster, but his face stayed calm. He was stronger than before. Strength 7 was not a small number. Still, three against one was dangerous.
Zico cracked his knuckles. “Last time the fire didn’t finish you. This time we will.”
He lunged forward and threw a heavy punch at Kelvin’s face.
Kelvin moved.
He stepped to the side, grabbed Zico’s arm, and pulled. Zico’s own power made him stumble forward. Kelvin turned and kicked the back of Zico’s knee. Zico dropped with a painful shout.
Jengki and Fredy attacked at the same time from both sides.
Kelvin raised his arms to block. Fredy’s fist hit his shoulder. Pain shot through his arm, but it was not enough to stop him. He pushed Fredy back and turned just in time to catch Jengki’s kick with both hands. Using the new strength in his body, he twisted and threw Jengki to the ground.
The three of them stared at him in shock.
“What the hell?” Fredy panted. “How did you get so strong?”
Kelvin did not answer. He only stood there, breathing steadily, eyes cold.
Zico pushed himself up, his face twisted with anger and shame. “Don’t just stand there! Get him!”
The three of them rushed at him again.
This time Kelvin did not hold back as much. He moved faster than they expected. He ducked under a punch, hit Jengki in the stomach, then turned and struck Fredy in the chest hard enough to send him stumbling into a parked motorcycle. The motorcycle fell with a loud crash.
Zico tried to grab Kelvin from behind. Kelvin elbowed him in the ribs, then spun and punched him square in the face. Blood burst from Zico’s nose.
For a moment, the parking area was quiet except for heavy breathing and the sound of pain.
Zico wiped the blood from his face and looked at his own red hand. His eyes were full of disbelief and growing fear.
“You… you’re not normal,” he whispered.
Kelvin looked at the three of them. Jengki was still on the ground, holding his stomach. Fredy was trying to stand but his legs looked weak. Zico’s nose kept bleeding.
“I told you before,” Kelvin said, his voice low and clear. “I’m not the same trash you used to kick around.”
He picked up his bag from the ground and walked past them toward his motorcycle. None of them tried to stop him.
As he put on his helmet, the System spoke again.

Kelvin started the engine. Before he rode away, he looked back at Zico one last time.
“Touch Xenovia or try to hurt me again,” he said, “and I won’t stop next time.”
Then he turned the throttle and left the school grounds.
Behind him, Zico sat on the ground with blood still running down his face. His two friends looked at him with fear in their eyes.
“Boss…” Jengki said weakly. “What do we do now?”
Zico’s hands were shaking. Not only from pain, but from something deeper.
Fear.
He stared at the road where Kelvin had disappeared.
“This isn’t over,” he muttered through bloody teeth. “I’ll find a way… even if I have to use something worse than fire.”
---
Kelvin rode through the streets in silence. The wind felt cool against his face. His shoulder still hurt a little where Fredy had hit him, but it was nothing compared to the burning barrel.
He had won today.
But he knew Zico would not give up.
When he reached the inn, he parked the motorcycle and walked inside. The house was quiet. He went up to his clean room, closed the door, and finally let out a long breath.
He sat on the edge of the bed and opened the System screen.

He was getting stronger. He had money. He even had someone who liked him back.
But his mother was still gone.
And the boy who killed her was still breathing.
Kelvin closed his eyes.
“System,” he said quietly, “next time… I want a mission that helps me make Zico pay for real.”
The blue screen glowed softly.
[Understood, Host.]
[New opportunities will appear when the time is right.]
Kelvin lay back on the bed and stared at the ceiling.
Outside, the sky was turning dark.
Somewhere in the city, Zico was already thinking of a new way to destroy him.
And Kelvin knew the next fight would not be as simple as the one in the parking lot.

Chapter 14
Kelvin left the house at first light. He checked the wooden board on the window one more time, then rode toward the old bridge.Three days left. He needed something stronger than paper and photos.Near the closed part of the bridge he found a woman hanging clothes outside a small house. She looked tired. Kelvin stopped a few steps away and spoke quietly.“I am looking for anyone who saw the fire near the barrel months ago. Or the night the bridge was damaged.”The woman glanced at him, then at the street. “People do not talk about that night.”“I was the one in the barrel,” Kelvin said. “I only want the truth.”She was silent for a long moment. Then she pointed toward a narrow path behind the houses.“There is a boy who collects scrap there every morning. He was out that night. He saw more than he should have. But he is afraid.”Kelvin thanked her and followed the path. After a few minutes he found a thin boy about his age pulling a metal cart. The boy stopped when he saw Kelvin.“I d

Kelvin did not sleep much. Every time a motorbike passed outside he opened his eyes. When morning came he got up, checked the wooden board on the window, and left the house early. He rode straight to the alley near the river. The old man who had spoken to him before was sitting in the same place, fixing another broken chair.Kelvin stopped in front of him.“I need your help,” he said. “Not to fight. Just to write down what you saw that night. Even a few lines.”The old man looked at him for a long time. “I already told you I do not want trouble.”“I know,” Kelvin said. “But if no one writes anything, the people who did it will keep walking free. I will not put your name on any paper if you do not want it. I only need the words.”The old man rubbed his hands together. Finally he nodded once. He took a small piece of paper from his pocket and wrote slowly with a short pencil. When he finished he gave it to Kelvin. The writing was simple:Three boys. One of them called Zico. They poured

Kelvin left the house before sunrise. He did not tell anyone where he was going. He only took his phone, his notebook, and enough money for fuel.He rode slowly through the quieter streets near the river and the old market. Xenovia had said Raka was coming today. Kelvin did not know the exact place, so he watched and listened. He stopped at small shops and asked careful questions. Most people said nothing. One man who sold cigarettes finally spoke in a low voice.“If you are looking for the man named Raka, try the empty lot behind the old warehouse. People meet there when they do not want to be seen.”Kelvin thanked him and rode that way.The warehouse stood near the edge of the industrial area. The lot behind it was full of weeds and broken concrete. Kelvin parked his motorcycle two streets away and walked the rest of the distance. He stayed behind a low wall and watched. After almost an hour, a black car stopped. Two men got out. One was Zico. The other was older, maybe in his late
Chapter 11
Kelvin woke up with the same pain in his ribs, but he did not stay in bed. Five days left. He needed answers about the name Xenovia had given him.Raka.He rode to school early and asked carefully. Most students shook their heads. One older boy from another class finally spoke in a low voice near the back gate.“Raka is not a student,” the boy said. “He is older. People say he fixes problems for money. Broken legs. Lost papers. Sometimes worse. Stay away from that name.”That was all Kelvin got before the boy walked off fast.At school the whispers had changed again. Some students looked at Kelvin with open dislike. During the first break a teacher called him aside.“There is a report,” the teacher said. “Someone says you started the fight in the parking lot and also the one in the alley. The school is looking into it. Be careful.”Kelvin knew who had made the report. Zico was not only hiring people now. He was using words and lies. After class Kelvin did not go home. He rode back to

Kelvin left the house early the next morning. His ribs still ached, but he ignored the pain. He had six days left. Sitting at home would not help.He rode straight to the old alley near the river. The burnt barrel was still there, black and twisted. A few older people sat on plastic chairs outside the small houses along the street. Most of them looked away when they saw him.Kelvin stopped in front of an old man who was repairing a broken chair. The man’s hands were slow and careful.“Excuse me,” Kelvin said. “Were you here the night of the fire a few months ago?”The old man looked up. His eyes were careful. “Why do you ask?”“I was the one they threw in the barrel,” Kelvin answered. “I need to know if anyone saw who did it.”The old man put down his tools.
