“How is she?” Asher asked with concern etched in his features.

Isabella hurriedly replied, “She is fine, the doctor said there is nothing serious, just some minor injury to her left arm.”

Asher nodded, he watched as the police officers and Tonia kept their conversation going..

Just as they were through, the two officers ambled forward towards them.

“Officer, any clue about what happened?” Asher asked.

The tall officer, Nick, said, “Based on her statement, she said they were masked men and she couldn’t tell who they were, but I will have some of our men check the location she gave to us, and if we find anything, we’ll give you a call.”

Asher and Isabelle nodded in unison, “Thank you, officers.” Asher shook hands with them before he watched them leave.

While they left, Asher took a step forward and leaned toward Tonia. “I am sorry for what happened, whoever did this will be caught and brought to justice. You don’t have to worry that much, you should focus on your recovery.”
