Kenton Residence – Evening In an unexpected shift, Oscar Kenton summoned both his sons to the dining table for dinner. Calvin and Elliot took their usual seats across from each other, the silence between them thick and uncomfortable. Maids moved quietly around the table, placing plates and filling glasses before retreating. No one spoke at first. Forks and knives scraped softly against porcelain as they began to eat. From the head of the table, Oscar broke the quiet by suddenly asking. “How’s your friend doing?” Calvin and Elliot exchanged a quick, uncertain glance, neither sure which of them their father meant. “I’m speaking to you, Calvin,” Oscar clarified, eyes fixed on Calvin. Calvin blinked, caught off guard. Since when does he ask about my friends? He let out a short, awkward laugh. “Steven and Kevin are both doing fine, Dad.” Oscar’s expression didn’t change. “I’m not asking about them. I mean… the Vale boy.” Elliot discreetly looked away, quietly wondering why the

Eric remained standing where he was, arms crossed, quietly watching to see exactly what Devin was capable of. He had never truly witnessed what each Anchor could do in a real fight.“STOP!!” Devin yelled as he walked forward. The beating halted instantly and every head snapped toward him.Caldus’s eyes narrowed in recognition. “You. The son of a bitch who actually dared lay a hand on me.” A cruel grin spread across his face. “Perfect timing. Now I get to show you exactly who you fucked with.”He charged.Devin simply raised his left hand. “Still making the same mistake are we?”Caldus locked up mid-stride, body rigid, muscles quivering violently beneath his skin. He couldn’t move an inch. The rest of the crew surged forward with shouts and raised fists.Devin flicked his right hand sideways, almost casually. An invisible wave slammed into them. Men flew backward in every direction screaming, crashing into walls, pavement, and each other. Bodies hit the ground hard and stayed down.Eri

“You have no idea what you’re doing, you bastard! This is a huge mistake!” Kimberley shouted, struggling as Devin hauled her out of the car and shoved her forward.Devin tilted his head, expression blank. “And… what exactly am I doing?”Kim’s eyes darted around. The street was eerily quiet with empty sidewalks, no cars, no voices. A chill ran through her.She whirled back to him, voice rising. “Why did you bring me here? What is this place?!”Devin glanced left, then right, genuinely puzzled. “Huh. I… don’t actually remember.”Kim’s face twisted in disbelief. “What?! Who even are you? You said you knew my brother, where is he?!”A low voice answered from behind her.“He’s curious.”Kim spun around. Eric stood there, arms crossed, studying her with an unreadable look. Her stomach dropped. She took a hesitant step toward him, tears already brimming. “Eric… what’s happening? What is all this?”Eric’s gaze never wavered. “Funny. I was about to ask you the same thing. What’s going on, K

Inside a large, gloomy room, desperate cries and pleas filled the room as up to six people knelt on the cold floor, hands clasped, faces streaked with tears and terror, begging the man who lounged indifferently in the chair before them.“Please… just a little more time!”“We’ll pay, we swear… we only need a bit longer!”“I promise we’ll settle everything soon… just give us more time!”The man’s expression darkened with each repetition. Finally, anger boiled over and he slammed his hand on the table beside him.“More time?!” he bellowed and a sudden, unnatural gust ripped through the room. Everyone gasped as a sudden invisible pressure slammed into them. They clutched their chests in pain, blood dripping from their nose.Kimberley Vale trembled among them, her whole body shaking uncontrollably as she wiped the blood off her nose.“‘More time, more time’, that’s all I ever hear from you,” the man snarled. “How many extensions do I have to grant before you finally pay back what you owe

Inside the taxi, Eric leaned back against the worn seat, his gaze unfocused, distant, and his heart was troubled because Calvin’s words really struck deep inside him.‘A heart carved out of stone.’Eric let out a slow breath through his nose.‘Why does he talk like he knows me better than I know myself?’The thought unsettled him more than he liked to admit. Then he remembered Landon and his team. The dungeon. The moment he crossed that line. The first time he killed someone… or people all at once.It was still clear as day in his memory. And the worst part?He felt no guilt at all and still don't.It also felt easy, like he had done it a lot of times.Calvin had been there. Calvin had seen everything. Maybe that was why he spoke with that smug certainty, like he had peeled Eric open and looked inside.‘Hell,’ Eric thought bitterly, ‘I don’t even know what’s inside.’His phone began to ring, snapping him out of the spiral. He looked down at the screen and saw it was Sheila.A tired s
