Months had passed since Jay first awoke in the vast, complicated world of Astrelia. What had begun as overwhelming chaos gradually morphed into a daily rhythm, a strange, structured life that somehow felt… his.

The sun peeked through the tall windows of the training hall, illuminating golden dust particles that drifted lazily in the warm light. Jay sat cross-legged on a velvet cushion, hands hovering over a small orb of glowing energy, trying not to let it collapse into an uncontrolled spark.

Seraphine hovered nearby, her sharp eyes scrutinizing every twitch of his hands. Her presence radiated Alpha authority; the way she moved, firm yet graceful, made Jay’s chest tighten as he tried to focus.

“Concentrate,” she instructed, her voice gentle but unyielding. “Magic isn’t just power it’s control, intention, and discipline. Let the energy flow through you, don’t force it.”

Jay exhaled, focusing on the warmth of the orb rather than the dizzying intensity of his sister’s gaze. He felt the system fluttering in his head like a caffeinated bird.

System 004: Host! Magic levels rising! Sister Alpha proximity: high! Heart tension detected!

Jay groaned internally. System… can you not? I’m trying here.

The orb pulsed softly, responding to his will just enough to remain intact. Seraphine smiled faintly, a rare softness breaking through her Alpha strictness.

“That’s better,” she said. “Keep practicing. Soon, you’ll be able to manipulate multiple orbs without losing focus.”

Jay nodded, feeling sweat prick at his brow. Months, and I’m only just starting to grasp this. But… I’m improving.

After their session, Seraphine guided him to the sitting room. “We’ll begin household management next,” she said. “A prince doesn’t only fight or rule. You must understand the structure of a home, the rhythm of service, and the nuances of domestic responsibility.”

Jay raised an eyebrow. “You mean… cleaning, cooking, etiquette for tea?”

She smirked, handing him a basket of linens. “More than that. Understanding loyalty, managing people, delegating effectively. A house is a kingdom of its own.”

He winced as he folded a cloth napkin with precision, imagining the system buzzing behind his eyes.

Jay muttered under his breath, “Great… magical hearts and linen-folding.”

Later that morning, Theo approached, his calm Beta energy filling the study room. He carried a stack of history tomes, their spines worn but well-preserved.

“Today, we begin history and etiquette,” Theo said, voice steady. “Knowing your lineage and the events that shaped the empire is as important as knowing the sword.”

Jay sank into a chair, hands resting on the polished oak table. “History… exciting,” he said dryly.

Theo’s lips curved in a ghost of a smile. “It’s more than dates and battles. You need to understand cause and effect, diplomacy, and why protocol matters. Without it, the empire crumbles or worse, you become a laughingstock at court.”

Jay’s mind wandered as he listened, picturing all the ceremonies, formal bows, and intricate dress codes he’d once thought boring. Theo caught the distracted glance and gently raised an eyebrow.

“Focus,” he said. “A crown prince or any royal must appear capable at all times. Your public presence conveys power, even if your thoughts are elsewhere.”

Jay straightened, feeling the weight of expectation settle over him. The system glittered in his mind, hovering like a tiny, overexcited cheerleader.

System 004: Host! Attention levels improving! Public poise: minor improvement! Sibling Beta teaching efficiency: 90%!

He muttered, “Thanks, System… not.”

By midday, Aldrin entered, his posture perfectly straight, eyes scanning Jay as he approached. The crown prince carried a sense of authority that even months of lessons couldn’t dilute. He laid down scrolls and books detailing governance, laws, and religious texts.

“Core governance, statecraft, cultural literacy, and religion,” Aldrin announced. “You cannot rule without understanding the people, their beliefs, and the structure that binds them together.”

Jay tilted his head, pretending to understand, while internally calculating just how many scrolls he’d need to survive this session without falling asleep. Aldrin’s gaze was unyielding, though, and Jay quickly straightened.

“Consider this,” Aldrin continued, “your decisions will affect thousands. Every law, every decree, every festival-understand why it matters and how to wield your influence wisely.”

Jay scribbled notes hastily, feeling the weight of centuries of royal expectation. I’m really supposed to do all this… and still survive magic lessons, domestic management, and social etiquette?

Later in the afternoon, Lucien stepped into the courtyard, swords clinking softly at his side. “Time for physical and military training,” he said. His Beta composure contrasted with the Alpha command in his voice, and Jay felt both fear and admiration at once.

The sword felt heavy in his hands at first. Lucien’s instructions were precise: stance, grip, breathing, and strike. Each motion had to flow seamlessly into the next, or the correction came swiftly.

“You’ll need this,” Lucien said. “Not just for combat, but to understand control, discipline, and respect for life.”

Jay nodded, muscles burning but spirit rising. The system sparkled excitedly.

Yven appeared soon after, flopping into a chair beside Jay with a grin. “Alright, now that your biceps are sore, let’s focus on social, interpersonal, psychological, and legal competence.” He slapped a stack of mock trial documents on the table.

Jay groaned. “You want me to argue, negotiate, and read minds?”

“Not quite,” Yven replied, eyes twinkling. “But understanding human nature, reading intent, mediating conflicts… yes, that’s essential. Plus, legal and administrative competence is crucial. You’ll need it when disputes arise in your household or the empire.”

Jay scribbled furiously, mentally exhausted but oddly intrigued. *Maybe I am learning… a lot.*

Finally, Celeste guided him to the crafting room, her hands moving gracefully over wooden tools and textiles.

“Practical crafts, household arts, and varied examples by sex, rank, and era,” she said softly. “Understanding these allows you to connect with your people. Knowing the skills of your household prepares you to respect every role. You cannot lead those you do not understand.”

Jay’s hands fumbled as he attempted weaving, but Celeste’s patient guidance made the frustration bearable. Her voice carried warmth, yet there was strength in her teaching that demanded attention.

As the sun dipped toward evening, Jay leaned back in exhaustion, shoulders aching from the long day of lessons. Sweat mingled with relief, and he let out a deep breath. He felt the system buzzing like a hyperactive hummingbird in his head.

System 004: Host! Skill acquisition: MAXIMUM! Siblings successfully instilled knowledge in multiple domains! Multi-target learning efficiency: 98%! Hearts… excited!

Jay groaned. “System… seriously, tone it down. I’m human, not a machine.”

But a small, reluctant smile tugged at his lips. Despite the exhaustion, the chaos, and the unending demands, he felt… competent. Slowly, piece by piece, he was becoming the prince this world needed-not the charming mask he once wore, not the manipulated pawn from his past life, but himself.

He looked at each sibling as they gathered around, exhausted but smiling with pride. Seraphine, Aldrin, Lucien, Theo, Yven, and Celeste-each had left a part of themselves in his education.

Jay allowed himself one thought before sleep claimed him: Maybe… just maybe, I can handle this. Maybe I can finally live for myself.

The system glittered silently in his vision, still excited but quieter now.

Jay snuggled under his blanket, muscles sore but mind alive, finally feeling a strange satisfaction in his second life. Months of lessons, of controlled chaos, of learning magic, etiquette, governance, combat, social skills, and crafts-he was becoming whole.

And for the first time in his life, he didn’t feel like he had to hide behind a mask.
