Jay never imagined that waking up could turn into such an overwhelming spectacle. One moment he stared blankly at the six emotional strangers in front of him, and the next they were pulling chairs close, forming a protective circle around his bed like guards surrounding a precious treasure.

The Queen gently brushed Jay’s hair away from his forehead. “You must be tired, but your siblings insisted on seeing you properly. They’ve been… restless.”

“Restless?” one of the princes repeated with a dramatic scoff. “More like miserable.”

That voice belonged to the eldest. He stepped closer, chest puffed with pride and authority. Thick black hair, silver eyes sharp with intelligence, posture impossibly straight. Even without remembering, Jay could tell: this was the crown prince.

“I’m Aldrin Astrelia,” he declared grandly. “Your eldest brother. The future king. The smartest, strongest, and obviously the best sibling you have.”

Two siblings groaned immediately.

“Please, self-control,” a younger sister muttered.

Aldrin ignored the protests entirely, leaning in with a soft expression that cracked his confident exterior. “You’ve always looked up to me the most, Jay. Even if you don’t remember, your heart surely does.”

Another prince shoved him aside. “My turn! I’m Lucien, second prince. Strongest knight of the realm and the one who taught you how to ride a horse. You cried the first time, but it’s fine, you were cute.”

Jay’s eyes widened slightly. Him… horseback riding? Crying?

Lucien ruffled his hair affectionately. “You clung to me like a little kitten. I almost died from how adorable you were.”

The third sibling pushed forward with a bright grin. “And I’m Seraphine! Third princess, the prettiest in the whole empire with the best fashion sense. I used to dress you up because you were literally the cutest doll ever.”

Seraphine poked his cheek. “Still cute.”

Jay felt heat rush to the tips of his ears.

He barely caught a pamphlet of bickering as another brother stepped in front of her.

“Stop claiming him like you raised him alone.” The fourth prince crossed his arms, cool and composed. “I am Theo. Fourth child, Beta, calm voice of reason… apparently the only sane one in this family.”

“He says, while interrupting,” Seraphine muttered.

Theo completely ignored her.

The fifth rushed over, sliding like he was in some dramatic play. “I’m Yven! Fifth prince! You love me because I’m fun and I make you laugh. You once said I’m your favorite”

“That’s because you bribed him with chocolate,” Lucien cut in.

“Details!” Yven flicked his hair. “The point is, Jay loves me more.”

The sixth child, a tall girl with cold eyes, stood behind them quietly until she couldn’t anymore.

“Pathetic,” she sighed. “Arguing over who Jay loves more while he literally doesn’t remember any of us. You’re embarrassing.”

Seraphine glared. “Stop acting like you’re above us. Introduce yourself properly.”

The girl stepped forward, bowing slightly. “I am Celeste. Sixth princess. I may not be loud like them… but you trusted me the most when it came to secrets.”

Her voice softened by a fraction. “I’m glad you’re awake.”

Jay sat frozen, surrounded by all that affection, all that energy… and all those expectations.

He didn’t know how to react. Not smiling. Not acting charming. Not putting on a persona.

He forgot his mask.

The one he used his entire life to survive.

A tiny panic flickered inside him.

Was he allowed to be confused here?

Vulnerable?

Human?

Aldrin noticed the shift in Jay’s expression and sat on the edge of the bed, voice gentle. “It’s alright. You don’t have to pretend with us.”

The words stabbed deep.

He didn’t even know this man…

But his heart wanted to believe him.

Seraphine leaned closer. “Are you cold? Hungry? Need a mirror to admire how adorable you are?” She earned a smack to the shoulder from Celeste.

Jay startled a little, then gathered the courage to ask:

“Can you tell me… about this world? About… us?”

The siblings lit up like he had handed them the kingdom itself.

Aldrin launched into lecture mode instantly.

“This is Astrelia, an empire built on the power of our ancestors. Magic flows through our bloodlines, giving us strength beyond ordinary people. There are three secondary genders: Alpha, Beta, and Omega. Alphas lead, Betas stabilize, and Omegas… play a vital role in maintaining lineage and balance.”

“Omegas are precious,” Lucien added, eyes sharp with fierce protectiveness. “No one touches an Omega without royal permission. And especially not the only royal Omega in existence.”

Yven grinned. “Which makes you our treasure! Our adorable, priceless, tiny”

“I’m not tiny,” Jay muttered under his breath.

Six heads snapped toward him, gasping dramatically.

“He talks back!”

“He’s still feisty!”

“He’s recovered!”

Jay almost laughed. Almost.

Aldrin continued, looking offended that he had been interrupted:

“As the crown prince, I am responsible for teaching you everything. And for the first time in my life, I’m grateful to myself for giving such thorough lessons before. At least I listened to me.”

His siblings groaned again.

Jay tried to understand everything, trying to piece together a new version of himself. This world was… intense. And strangely comforting.

But then the System returned.

Correction:

Information incomplete.

A new panel hovered before his eyes.

Omegas are not only treasured.

They are often controlled.

Restricted.

Claimed by force if unprotected.

Jay swallowed hard. Anxiety curled around him like cold tendrils.

Royal Omegas face even greater danger.

Political marriages.

Mate bonds with powerful Alphas.

Loss of freedom.

His skin chilled.

Aldrin noticed his expression shift and immediately reached for his hand, steady and strong. “You don’t ever need to fear things like that. We are your shield. No one can take you from us.”

Lucien nodded, eyes blazing with silent promise. “Anyone who tries will lose their head.”

The Queen rested her hand over Jay’s. “You are our child. Not a tool. Not a pawn.”

The King’s voice followed, calmer but carrying weight. “Your happiness matters. Whatever fate commands, we will decide your path together as a family.”

Jay let out a breath he didn’t realize he’d been holding.

Family.

He never had that.

Not truly.

They didn’t see a title or performance.

They saw him.

Even if he didn’t remember them.

“Thank you,” he whispered again, voice small but sincere.

Yven sniffled dramatically. “He thanked us. I win. I’m his favorite again.”

Lucien grabbed his collar. “You’re insufferable.”

Theo separated them with a sigh. “Don’t fight in front of him.”

Celeste crossed her arms. “They always fight. This is normal.”

Seraphine winked at Jay. “We might be a mess, but we’re your mess.”

Jay’s chest tightened with warmth that scared him a little.

He didn’t know who he was supposed to be here.

But maybe… he didn’t need to decide right away.

The King cleared his throat. “We’ll take this slow. One day at a time.”

The Queen smiled, soft and proud. “Sleeping beauty, you came back to us. That alone is enough.”

Jay looked around at the siblings still hovering protectively, ready to attack the world on his behalf.

This new life…

felt like a gift he wasn’t sure he deserved.

But for the first time

he wanted to try.

The throne hall doors shut behind them, and instantly Jay felt the weight of every crown in the world settle squarely on his shoulders. The air still tasted like the proclamation. High King. A title carved into the bones of history. The kind of title that could rewrite the world.Which was very inconvenient for someone who preferred books over political warmongering.Jay exhaled shakily. Luther remained exactly one step behind him… habit, respect, survival instinct… who knew. Jay turned and raised an eyebrow.“You walk beside me now,” he said, quiet but firm. “Not behind.”Luther froze. “Jay, I’m still of lower rank. It’s disrespectful to-”“Luther.” Jay stepped forward and took his wrist, gently pulling him to his side. “You were marked by me. You carry my future. You are one of my mate. • Day 7 With Luther: An Empire Kneels To One Heart

The crimson banners of Astrelia hung like watching eyes, and golden sunlight poured through the mosaic windows as if the sun itself wanted to judge him.Jay entered with the stiff posture of a prince who had not expected to become important overnight. Luther walked just behind him, the picture of composed elegance… and also wearing an outfit designed to make Jay’s brain short-circuit. A white off-shoulder crop top, sheer sleeves flowing like moonlight, and those white genie pants that fit his waist in a way that should honestly be illegal.Jay tried very hard not to look. He failed instantly. They stopped before the dais. Both bowed. • Day Five With Luther: Falling Asleep Together

The palace was unusually quiet that night. Jay lay awake, thoughts swirling like a storm, unable to forget Luther’s intensity from earlier. Are you awake?” Luther’s voice was low, almost hesitant.Jay sat up, rubbing his eyes. “Couldn’t sleep again?”Luther nodded, hesitating at the door. “Should I… stay?”Jay lifted a corner of the blanket, smirking slightly. “Only if you're not here to guard me. Obviously.”Luther’s lips twitched into a small smile as he stepped inside, closing the door softly behind him. He climbed onto the bed carefully, sitting at the edge before letting himself fall back, his shoulders relaxing only slightly. Jay’s heart thudded at the sight of him so close, the warmt

  • Day Four With Luther: The Ball and the Unspoken Steps

The grand ballroom glittered with candlelight and crystal chandeliers. A soft sea of gowns and uniforms shimmered across polished marble floors, and the faint scent of roses and lavender mingled with the warm, golden glow. Tonight, the palace celebrated not just Jay’s upcoming coronation but his coming of age-a ceremonial acknowledgment of his eighteen years and the divine blessing that had set the world abuzz.Jay adjusted the cuff of his uniform nervously, catching sight of his reflection in a gilded mirror. Everything was perfect-the embroidery, the sash, the polished boots-but nothing felt as perfect as the heat pooling in his chest whenever he thought of Luther.A gentle tap on the shoulder pulled him from his thoughts.“Your Highness,” Luther murmured, bowing slightly before straightening. His uniform was tailored impeccably, black with silver trim, and his hair was neatly arranged-but a few strands rebelliously curled over his forehead,

  • Day 3 With Luther: Nightfall, and the Unspoken Invitation

Jay and Luther had spent the day in a quiet rhythm training, reading, and teasing but as night crept in, an unspoken tension settled like a soft, heavy blanket between them.Jay stretched lazily on a chaise in his chambers, watching the shadows deepen. The library and training yard had been exhausting, but in the best way. His hair stuck to his forehead from exertion, and his heart still thudded from laughter, arguments, and those lingering touches from earlier.A soft knock came at the door.“Your Highness?” Luther’s voice drifted in, gentle, cautious. “May I… come in?”Jay smiled faintly. “I was hoping you would.”Luther entered, careful as ever, though his presence seemed to take up the entire room.
