"That piece of trash couldn't even last long enough for me to have fun a bit more." One of the boys Eric said with a snigger trying to impress Chris walking close to them.

Chris walked forward with a blank look on his face trying his best to show no signs of emotions on his face but he was trembling deep inside.

'I just killed a human, my very own blood brother, I know my mother told me to do it but...' he thought, his hands trembling slightly. He was just a little 15 year old kid trying to please his mother.

His mother told him to eliminate Draxus and prevent him from awakening, others were unaware but he had an innate physique called the heavenly flame core body, he couldn't awaken it becoming an hindrance to his cultivation instead, if he was allowed to awaken his physique and cultivate he would become a top prodigy on Nexus prime. The title of family head would naturally fall over to him.

Chris's mother naturally didn't want the rise of a potential threat to her children especially her first born Charles, everyone had high hopes of Charles becoming the next family head but if Draxus awakened he would threaten his position.

'It's not my fault, that's just how the world works, he's at fault for being weak.'

The small party were about to exit the forest when they heard a shuffling sound from the forest, the guards immediately went on high alert raising their guns high in the air.

"Could be a magical beast, they'll deal with it." One of the boys said with a calm look on his face.

"I don't think it's a magic beast, the footsteps are way too calm." One of the guards said with narrowed eyes.

"An assasin?"

"Not necessarily, it might be a passer-by."

The party watched on with hushed breaths as the forest parted to reveal a little rabbit.

The two sides froze in place, watching each other with bewilderment on their faces till the rabbit let out a squeal, running back into the forest.

"Jeez, I can't believe y'all were so scared of a little rabbit." Eric said with a disdainful look on his face directed towards the guards who still had their guns raised prepared for a "threat"

The guards lowered their guns awkwardly and resumed their walk out of the forest trying to forget the incident.

"You act like you weren't scared just now, I could have sweated you almost peed you pants." Carl, another of the four kids said with a jeering tone directed towards Eric making his face blacken.

The movements did seem like a suman creeping on them earlier, they couldn't get off the feeling even though they wanted to.

"The forest feels a little hotter, or am I the only one feeling that way?" The last boy who looked a little timid Henry said while rubbing his arms.

"Grow up Henry, you act like a kid all the time, so annoying." Eric said with a pat on his back.

"And you love blabbering a lot... For nothing." Carl said with a smirk.

"It won't hurt to be silent, will it?" Eric asked with a glare at Carl who refused to back down.

"Yeah I agree, it won't hurt for you to be silent a---"

"That's enough, let's return to the family then you can argue all you want." Chris said making the two pause, it was obvious Chris was not interested in their banter.

The two remained silent and walked out of the forest with the guards high on alert for any hidden threat, the party could see the towering city walls up ahead with guards stationed on the walls.

Electromagnetic Stationary turrets were erected on the walls at intervals manned by guards on watch for any sign of threat that could show up on the horizon.

Each of the turrets could dish out enough damage to flatten a fleet to the ground, if focused even soul manifestation realm cultivators would have trouble dealing with them.

As the capital city of one of the ruling nine nations of Nexus prime the security was way over the top. After all, it would be a joke if they couldn't even protect the capital and proclaimed themselves to be one of the ruling nations.

After passing through the gates they took a cabin over to the Frostmoon family's mansion, with the size of the "mansion" the area could easily be regarded as a town, housing thousands of family members along with outsiders.

The cabin travelled over to the main villa only accessible to the direct members of the family where Chris left the cabin along with the guards, the other three also alighted but didn't enter didn't follow him into the villa.

Unlike Chris, the other three were auxiliary members of the family and lived in the inner zone, they didn't have the qualifications to live in the villa.

Chris walked into the villa with his arms crossed behind his back, even though he felt the guilt from his actions he still expected the praise from his mother.

"He had some use after all." Chris muttered with a smirk.

"Are you sure we're going in the right direction?" Damion said with heads raised looking at the blazing sun high up in the sky with annoyance clearly visible on his face.

{I'm not sure about the exact direction, I am only analyzing based on the approximate direction I saw before landing, I'll suggest you search the host body's memories for clues}

"He doesn't know the way either!"

{Umm-- }

"You know what? Just forget it, walking around aimlessly won't help, I'll just stay here for a while and cultivate then fly out myself."

Cultivators in the body tempering realm mainly focused on cleansing their body with Qi, it was the most basic and efficient way to harden the body's cells and make it suitable for accumulating Qi.

After that was the spiritual awakening realm that focused on opening the Qi streams in the body, cultivators in this realm were able to accumulate Qi in their body and use it in combat despite being in a crude and unrefined way, they could only coat their body parts with their elements and couldn't affect the world around them with it or extend it out but it was sufficient for flight.

"Spiritual awakening realm, a few minutes would do." Damion muttered then took in a deep breath, directing the passing Qi towards his body creating a mini flaming storm swirling round him as they rushed into his body, several notifications surfaced in his sight but he ignored them.

The flaming storm attracted the attention of the guards stationed on the wall, in their sight all the Qi in the forest were rushing over to a single spot leaving everywhere else in a deprived state.

"What is going on over there?"

"This phenomenon, could it be... A divine treasure??"

Those who oppress others tend to rely heavily on their powers or advantages over the bullied party, losing those advantages would result in a devastating crash to their mindset and hearts, especially when it came to losing their power over the bullied party. The moment Chris felt all strength diffuse from his pores, limbs growing weak, his energy draining out gradually, he felt his world crash, the effect it made on his mind was a hundred times more than what happened to his body. The meridians acted as a link between the mortal body and the outer world, directly towards origin. Without the meridians he was no different from a normal, average mortal, his physique could at most make him stronger than other mortals but that was all."You.. what did you do to me?!" Chris screamed out, his eyes trembling, brain racing, trying to convince himself it was just a passing dream."You're way too dependent on your natural instincts, the moment you lost your meridians you fell prey to your own mi

"I heard the family head brought the fifth young master back, the cripple! And I heard a piece of interesting news" One of the maids whispered to her friend while heading towards the main villa."The fifth young master? What happened to him?" "I have a friend working in his courtyard, she heard he was taken in as a disciple by the head of royal guards in the imperial palace!" "Isn't he a cripple? Why would anyone consider taking him in as a disciple, unless it's to befriend the Frostmoon family." She asked with a curious expression, seemingly interested in the juicy gossip."I don't know either, I just know he was taken in as a disciple, he would probably join the royal guards." She replied with a light shrug."Are you joking? Royal guards? How is he supposed to join if he can't cultivate? The discipleship must've been to create ties with the Frostmoon family, there's no cultivator who would seriously train a cripple, there's nothing profitable in it." 'He's still alive? And he was

'I definitely don't remember anything related to having a sister in the memories you showed me, am I right?' {It must've been a malfunction, the memories were incomplete or flawed} "You're getting more unreliable...." Damion muttered then hurriedly stepped aside to avoid the impact. She had blonde hair tied up in braids, tiny freckles on her face and a cute face. 'That was close.' The girl paused in her steps, raised her head and stared into Damion's eyes with puppy eyes, tiny drips of tears beside her eyes "Brother, don't you love me anymore?" 'Okay what's going on here?' {I have no idea} --- "Do I really have to stay here for so long?" Damion grumbled with a muffled voice. He was walking across the villa after barely escaping from the clutches of his half sister Aurelia. For the next few minutes Damion was repeatedly beaten down brutally till he passed out in a miserable state.Bennett dragged Damion's bruised body out of the hole and hurled him over his shoulder without a care."It's a pity I still can't figure out what happened to the forest but I'll leave the investigations to Ferras, I'll take care of this little brat first he's quite impressive to stand my aura without flinching, even taking on so many of my casual hits." He muttered with a twinkle in his eyes like he found a priceless treasure. It never occured to him that Damion could be the cause of the commotion in the forest, he couldn't even react before he got wrecked into dust, if he had the chance to cast a spell the "battle" might have ended differently.Bennett returned to the city wall, ordered the guards to clear out the forest area, and investigate for any possible source of danger then returned to the Imperial palace where the emperor and other court members were waiting. They were

"What do we do now?" Pleonexia asked the other two with a concerned look on her face. "If we don't find the mandate in five years, he'll notice what happened and by then we'll have to bear the consequences." Gastrima said with clenched fists, Bromeus was swirling next to her, occasionally whipping out causing the nearby space to crack open. "We'll have to send out some of our subordinates to find the mandate" Pleonexia replied. "And how will they find it? They don't have a way of tracking it, we could've sent a squad of them over but such a movement would alert the others, they're already suspicious of us!" "We'll just send a squad of small mercenaries, they should be able to deal with any threat in the mortal Realm easily." Phthonos said with a calm voice. The other two paused for a moment and nodded their heads "Fine, that would work but we have to dispose of them if things go wrong, even if they fail to find the mandate or actually find the mandate they have to die after the

The appearance of a divine treasure born naturally from the heavens in the mortal realm would usually occur along with the convergence of Qi into a single area. The guards stationed on the walls immediately reported the situation to their captain who passed it across to the higher-ups then decided to check out the area and "affirm" the truth of the situation.'Forget reporting back to the higher-ups, if I can get a divine treasure to recognize me it'll be the fortune of my generation! Even the five families don't have up to three divine treasures each.' the captain thought with a glint in his eyes.Gathering four other guards with spiritual awakening realm cultivation, he formed a five man team on the spot and ventured into the forest in search for the supposed treasure that suddenly appeared.---{Ding!
