Chapter 005

She had already prepared herself beforehand, but what about me?

I never dared to imagine I would ever get the chance to fuck her. Should I really be doing this? 

I shook my head. Instead of feeling guilty, I actually felt a thread of impatience coursing through my body. 

But… 

Ring, ring, ring! 

The ringtone to my phone suddenly jingled. My body quivered at the sound, suddenly sobering up. At the same time, I saw Lilian’s face completely reddened!

I hastily got up and picked her up, moving her aside before flusteredly running to the dining table as if I couldn’t wait to get away. My phone was still ringing nonstop. I was full of mixed feelings and I didn’t know if I was feeling more frustrated or relieved. 

If I saw my reflection in the mirror right now, I’d definitely be able to see the complicated expression on my face.

When I saw my phone, I instantly sobered up. Emily, the manager of my department, was calling me. Our new line of products had recently launched, and the list of problems was very long. We had just sold the last of our products so there shouldn’t be any issues right now. But then, why was she calling? 

I suddenly thought back to the toy I brought back that Lilian ended up using and a bad premonition crawled into my heart. 

Sure enough, Emily’s howl came raging through once I picked up. “Get your ass down here right now! Didn’t you say there wouldn’t be any problems? Do you have any idea what happened? Come to the company now!”

I hastily nodded and promised I would be there. Even though it was already 9 pm, I did not have any reasons to not go when clearly I was needed at the company.

I looked back at Lilian on the sofa. Her face was still a rosy hue. When she noticed my eyes on her, she immediately turned away. Her bashful expression was tempting me to continue where we left off. 

I told Lilian to take a shower and sleep early while I headed into work. Lilian nodded and wished me a safe drive back to the company. 

I went back to my room to change, then grabbed my phone and wallet to leave. 

On the way, my thoughts returned to what happened with Lilian earlier and my heart thumped heavily in my chest.

No man in the world would have been able to control themselves in that moment, never mind an ordinary guy like me.

I shook my head, deciding to not go over the sordid details in my head any longer. I turned my attention back to the situation at hand. Something big must have happened to make Emily this furious. 

Sure enough, once I got to the company, the whole research and development team was all there. Only Emily, our manager, was absent. My colleague told me Emily was called into the director’s office shortly before I arrived. 

After making small talk with my colleagues, I discovered what happened. The new product received quite a few complaints and this responsibility fell completely on our department. The director, Jacques Jaune, had tried to go after Emily several times in regards to this only to be repeatedly rejected by her. There was no way he would let this go seeing as our product had not been that well received. 

Shortly after, I saw Emily head back to the office with a frosty expression on her face. Our group immediately stood up. 

Emily started talking, “For the next month, I’ll be contributing to the sales department. If there are any problems in the research and development department, just notify me via email.” 

After she said that, Emily looked over at me and said, “Jake, you’re coming to the sales department with me and we will be working side by side for this month.” 

“What?” I was startled, unable to believe my ears.

Emily was beautiful. At 40, but she didn’t look a day past 30. Time left no apparent traces on her face, only taking away a young girl’s naivete and leaving behind the graceful ways of a mature woman. 

It was just too bad she always wore a cold expression on her face. Her unapproachable appearance left her with no friends in the company and the men that wanted to pursue her were all turned down one by one. Our director, Jacques, happened to be one of them. 

I didn’t know why Emily wanted to transfer to the sales department, nor why she was forcing me to go with her. Her leaving should mean a promotion for me. 

Emily saw my confused face and unexpectedly gave me an explanation. She suspected that there wasn’t actually an issue with the products in general and that it was actually just Jacques trying to add unnecessary pressure onto her. 

After all, if there was a problem with the product, our research and development team would be placed with all the blame. If this was reported to the higher-ups, she would most likely be fired. However, she didn’t want to give up and wanted to spend a month in sales to do some research on consumer attitudes in regards to our products. She needed to see if they were really at fault, or not. 

I understood where Emily was coming from, but why did I have to go too?

I let her know my doubts and Emily responded by saying, “How can a woman like me put away my pride and sell these things? Of course, it’s my job to ensure customers get our very best. You just need to follow my lead. I’ll give you a day to sort things out. Starting the day after tomorrow, report to the sales department. You are allowed no vacations this month.” 

I sighed inwardly exasperatedly but before I could say another word, Emily had already turned around and was making her way toward the parking lot. I ran after her only to find her taillight was already turned on. 

Thoughts of my bleak future flooded my mind as I walked on the streets alone. In my eyes, I thought Emily was overthinking things. Basically, the vibrating dildo did get stuck when Lilian was using it. Though the product might have an issue, I didn’t think it was a big deal at all. 

When I arrived home, I saw Lilian’s lights were all off. I exhaustedly took a shower and went to bed early. 

The next day, I somehow slept until 8:30 am. I thought Lilian and Ava had already left for school so I just left my room wearing only my boxers. 

But when I walked into the family room, I froze. Ava was there still wearing her nightgown, sweeping the room! 

“Jake, you’re woken up! I’ve prepared breakfast for you.” Ava smiled at me sweetly, shaking her hips back and forth seductively as she sauntered to the kitchen. 

Only then did I move and hurried to return to my room to put on some clothes. When I came back out, I saw two white and plump steamed buns, a bowl of green bean soup, and two pickled side dishes on the table. 

I thought of all the things that happened yesterday night and awkwardly smiled before heading to the bathroom to wash up. I then sat down at the table. Ava brought me a set of cutlery before sitting next to me, looking straight into my eyes with a smile on her face. 

Her staring made me feel a little unsettled. I saw no signs of Lilian and asked Ava why she didn’t go to school. 

Ava said she had no class in the mornings so she decided to stay at home to help me clean up. She also mentioned Lilian was coming over to sleep again. 

She was still wearing her nightgown from the night before. My eyes couldn’t help but hover around her cleavage area and suddenly thoughts of me embracing her last night filled my mind. I felt myself becoming hard as I recalled just how seductive she looked last night. 

Ava pretended to not notice my arousal as she carried the bowl of green bean soup over to me. She leaned over, exposing her robust cleavage as she said, “Green bean soup is great for unleashing all your internal heat. I think that is just what you need right now!”

This time, the culprit was obvious. I hastily spoke up, “Ava, listen to what I have to say.” 

I looked at her and said as earnestly as I could, “Ava. I only see you as my sister. You have to understand me when I say this.” 

“Your sister, huh?” Ava appeared to at first accept my words but then she said, “Then what do you call Lilian?”
