Nathan's POV

I lay on my bed, scrolling through my phone, just having finished a call with my girlfriend, Camila. I already missed her. As I scrolled through the pictures on my old, worn-out phone, I saw that they were all of her or the two of us together. A proud smile spread across my face when I came across a picture of her smiling. With her long, curly blonde hair, bright ocean blue eyes, plump red lips, and perfectly shaped, shining white teeth, she embodied perfection, the dream girl of every guy in college.

Camila was not only rich and intelligent but also beautiful, quirky, and determined. I was taken aback when she agreed to go out with me. I had admired her from a distance on campus for a while, nurturing a huge crush on her for months. I had wanted to confess my feelings so I could move on from the fantasy I was living in. With courage, I expressed my emotions, expecting her to laugh in my face. I believed she was one of those pompous, spoiled, rich girls who would never give me a chance. However, to my greatest surprise, she confessed that she was in love with me too. She admitted to having loved me for a long time but lacked the bravery to confess first. At that moment, I realized I wasn't dreaming when she kissed me on the cheek and smiled at me.

That's how our beautiful relationship began. I had considered it impossible, and I wasn't the only one who thought so. I became envied and hated by almost everyone in school because I was dating the most beautiful and popular girl in college. They believed I wasn't worthy of her. I used to be invisible and ignored, but as soon as rumors spread about my relationship with Camila, I became the center of attention.

I was an orphan who had earned a scholarship to attend their prestigious college. I never knew my father, and my mother passed away a long time ago. I had to fend for myself, working multiple jobs to pay for rent and food. I resided in a small, one-room rooftop house, making the best of what I could afford. But that never stopped my performance in school. I was the best-graduating student in high school which was why I was offered that scholarship.  I still continued to strive hard to graduate from college with flying colors. I knew I had nobody to cater for me or help me look for a job when I was done with school. So, I had to work hard and pass on my own in order to get a good job.

On the other hand, Camila was the only daughter of a wealthy business mogul. We were from completely different worlds, but love brought us together. Our unconventional relationship made us both popular in school. A rich girl dating a poor boy. I was always anxious about what people said because I couldn't match Camila's lifestyle. However, she always reassured me not to worry. She loved me for who I was, and money held no importance to her.

That's why I loved her so deeply. People gossiped about me being with her solely for her looks and wealth, including her parents. Her father, in particular, despised me as if I were a plague. He considered me a worthless punk who was only after his family's wealth. He warned me to stay away from his daughter. However, Camila stood up for me against her father, defying her parents to be with me. This showed the depth of her love for me, touching me in a way no one had ever done before. Throughout my life, I have always been criticized and belittled by others.

Camila is like a breath of fresh air. She has brought sunshine and positivity into my life. I love her immensely, and the thought of losing her is unbearable. I vividly remember our first dinner date. I had taken her to a classy restaurant that she was accustomed to, oblivious to how expensive they were.

In order to spare my embarrassment, she suggested going to another restaurant. To my surprise, she took me to a roadside stall where street food was sold. She mentioned that she had always wanted to try their food but had nobody to accompany her. I understood that she said all of that to prevent me from feeling bad. It dawned on me that she was a unique kind of girl, and I would never let her go.

She frequently visited my house without complaining about its condition or the environment. I became the object of envy for every guy in my neighborhood. She lost some of her friends because of her association with me. However, she reassured me not to worry about those people since they were not truly her friends. They did not support her because they never genuinely cared about her or her happiness.

We were in our final year of college. I realized that we wouldn't be able to see each other as often as before because we would both be busy establishing our lives. I didn't want that. I wanted her to be as close to me as possible, always. I am completely certain that she is the woman I want to spend the rest of my life with. As soon as we have both figured out our careers, I will propose to her.

I know it will be very challenging to convince her family to agree, I will have to convince them that I would be able to take care of their daughter. But we will deal with that situation when it arises. I have a strong belief in our love. Our love will overcome all the obstacles in our path. We both love each other, and nothing will ever separate us. I will make sure to love and cherish only her for the rest of my life. Everyone will witness the power of love. It doesn't concern itself with your status, background, appearance, or age. Love simply happens in the most unexpected ways.

And that is the case with Camila and me. Our love knows no limits.
